Hi, lucky I got an appt with the rheumatologist, my finger was all swollen again this morning. He took some fluid out and gave me a cortisone shot. Then I stopped by the dentist for a quick check, all is ok, going back next week.
    Beautiful weather outside today.
    Happy Thursday. :)
    Hi Vix
I'm sorry to hear that Your finger did not get better without a visit to the rheumatologist. Hopefully the the Cortisone cures it.

    Good News from Your Dentist.

    Good afternoon;
Irene-I am glad you are feeling better and congrats on losing another lb.
Vix-I hope the Cortisone injection helped your finger.
Roger-We had sun this morning and this afternoon it is cloudy and looks like rain. The humidity isn't bad.
Laundry and grocery shopping are done, so my weekend is free.
    Enjoy your evening. :)

    Hi all.
Glad you are feeling better, Irene and congrats on the pound lost.
Roger, weather is pretty nice here too...went for a walk in the park this morning.
Jo, enjoy your free weekend.
I understand it takes a few days for the cortisone to work. Finger is the close to normal color now and swelling is down a little, am starting to be able to bend it a bit. Can't wait to get the dressings out of my mouth from the dental surgery next Wednesday. I was able to have some solid food today, but it's still difficult to clean my teeth. I'm hoping I'll feel a lot better by the end of the coming week.
    Have a good night, everyone.

    Hi all.
Went for a shorter walk this morning. My hip was bothering me, and I noticed yesterday it made my finger swell up more. It was beautiful out. There was a black snake on the path and a nice big turtle sunning himself on a log in the lake.

Today's forecast is for a high of 81 degrees and rain into Monday.

I'm sorry to hear that Your hip is bothering You :(

I take anything over the Internet and in news broadcasts anymore with more than a grain of salt :)
I fear that too many people believe what the read and hear is true.

Conspiracy theories are nothing new, they were around for Kennedy's assassination and those still exist.

I'm guessing that You are referring to the non poisonous Black snake as in some areas that name is applied to poisonous snakes.

Not great weather Saturday and Sunday or in the forecast through Tuesday :(

    Good morning.
    Raining here, started overnight.
Have fun at the festival, Jo. (Yes my fingers usually swell too when I go for walks, but it comes down pretty quickly). Apple pie sounds yummy.
Our forecast is for scattered t-storms today, high of 77, rain tomorrow, high of 82.
Need to do some things around the house. Maybe go out later.

I suspect that You will get our rain tomorrow...

Have a great time Antiquing and at the flea market.

:) Is there a specific type of flea You are looking for :)

I wonder why Your fingers swell, any theories?

Fresh Apple Pie, Yum. Can I guess that You will be cooking the apples first with some Cinnamon and sweetener or sugar? I have had Apple pies where the apples were crunchy and did not care for them. I suspect that may go back to my Grandmothers Home Made Pies using Canned Apples, Canned Cherries or Canned Peaches from the tress in their yard.

    Enjoy the Day

    Hi
I went walking this Morning, The temperature this morning was 68 degrees on the porch and 69 degrees on the cable channel and is now up to 71 degrees in the back yard. The Humidity is still up, And is now described as in the oppressive range and was also described as Tropical on last nights weather forecast :(

I had a 1 by 3 inch slice of the homemade Lasagna yesterday and it was delicious. My Brother used Ricotta cheese, Some Grated cheese, lots of Hamburger and Mozzarella Cheese. He also took a shortcut and used No Cook pasta which also avoided the problem of cooking the pasta or breakage. Then since he had plenty of Ricotta and some of the sheets of pasta left over from the Lasagna to make Manicotti.

A lot of people are upset by the confederate statues because many of them were put up at the time the Jim Crow laws were being passed, and then again just as the civil rights movement was starting in the 50s and 60s. Many people feel they were erected to remind people of "their place". The world is very crazy right now. Lots of gestures are being misinterpreted by a lot of people. And there seems to be a lot of negativity and hate mongering. Most people don't take the time to think, research, and analyse. They'd rather just listen to someone else's opinion. It's a shame, really.
Any way, I can't fix it.
