good morning, we walked this morning it was a little windy. My plans for today is do a little painting so needless to say I am in Trenton . Roger I think you can pretty much use any stock for the soup and I did forget to mention the grated cheese all I know is it was really good take care all

    Hi Irene
I have stepped up my step count with the colder weather :)
Hopefully the rain in Wednesdays forecast misses me or is done by the time We both get out walking.

I can handle a little wind, It is when there is wind driven rain that it gets miserable.

    Tasty is Good :)

    Cheers

More Humor including a Long image at the end

    Hi
I was out walking this Morning. The temperature this morning was 44 on the porch and 49 on the cable channel. It was nice and dry when I headed out for my walk, Shortly before the midpoint it started to drizzle and by the halfway mark the rain picked up so I pulled out the disposable Poncho. It stopped by the time I arrived home.

BTW I got a small box from Amazon yesterday with a Fruit Bar Sample and coupon in it, Did Anyone else get such a thing, a Pressed by Kind Strawberry Apple Bar, 110 calories.

My frozen order did arrive yesterday, They substituted for the Pork Dinner Entree which I did want to try :(

    Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

The Cranberry sauce was made last week and frozen til tomorrow. The Turkey is still not defrosted despite being in the Refrigerator since being picked up Sunday Morning. It will likely go into the sink with water in a little while.

Pumpkin Pies are on the Agenda to be baked today, There is the free Nuts.com Pecan Pie in the freezer as well as a Sweet Potato Pie and Several Loafs of Sweet Potato Bread. I think I will turn down my brothers offer to whip up a batch of biscuits from scratch tomorrow to go with the Turkey Gravy. There are three small loafs and one large loaf of Fruit Cake on the table being periodically sprayed with brandy until later this year. We dropped off the Homemade Pumpkin Cheese cake yesterday, one less temptation in the house :)

    Enjoy Your Day

The stuffing is all made. I am cooking squash and will put in a casserole dish to reheat later. I still have to peel potatoes and stuff the chicken breasts. My daughter requested roasted brussel sprouts, but they can't be cooked ahead of time(they just don't tasted the same reheated.)

More humor once again and a Long One at the end too

    Hi
    UHbpf2.jpg

I was out walking again this Morning + 1 cent. The temperature this morning was 28 on the porch and 33 on the cable channel. This mornings weather forecast said that the wind chill would be in the teens, I looked out before leaving and no wind and none came up while I was walking :)
It is a clear Blue Sky with a forecast in the 40s for This Thanksgiving.

When I went to get ready to walk this morning at 6AM we had just put the Turkey in the Oven after stuffing it with the Dressing made last night. It would not fit in the usual Roaster being to plump :) Luckily we also had this one that did work.
    https://www.amazon.com/Denmark®-Nonstick-Anodized-Turkey-Roaster/dp/B017WPGMHK/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
    0JpG06.jpg
The Rack in this one is great for lifting the turkey out too, and it keeps the bird off of the bottom.
The Potatoes have been prepped and are sitting in a pan to be cooked later

I walked past the the local Grocery Store, Bagel Shop and a Dunkin Donuts as I was curious, All were open, not great for the workers :(

My Non Frozen NS order arrived Yesterday. No Shortages in either frozen or non frozen.

    This was Interesting to me

    Hi Joanne
    Thank You.

We have Sweet Potatoes already cooked that we can heat in the Microwave or in a casserole dish :)

I decided and my brother concurred with that decision not to peel the potatoes as no-one that will be eating is bother by the skins mashed into the Potatoes as long as the skin was not exposed to light where it gets that green tint.

My Brother would have a stroke if I suggested cooking anything but Turkey for Thanksgiving and a Ham for the Christmas meal :) Just as T-Day has to have Pumpkin Pie, Mashed potatoes and Bread stuffing AKA Dressing for the Turkey. He has traditional views. Plenty of left over Turkey in the future to be Vacuum sealed and Frozen.

Tomorrow I need to go to the ShopRite Grocery Store, They have whole Pork Loins for $0.99 a pound. With a limit of one and a size of 7 to 9 pounds for Friday and Saturday only. Meats don't get much cheaper IMO. It can sit for a couple of days and then be broken down into a Roast that will be cooked and Boneless Pork Chops and the Small end saved to be ground into Sausage. You d need their Key Tag for that Price otherwise it is on sale for $1.99 a pound.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts, My Brother mentioned doing them too, Fresh from the Oven, Yummy !

    Enjoy The Holiday

    Hi Irene
I did not do any NS yesterday either and I can feel it today OTOH. It was tasty too.
The Turkey came out nicely browned with a crispy skin. The Pan worked nicely, The Juices dripped out into the bottom of the pan and turned into a black crust. Cleanup was really easy due to the nonstick coating. I just used my hand and everything brushed out cleanly. Mashed Potatoes, fried crispy Asparagus, Stuffing, a relish tray, Homemade Gravy, Homemade Pumpkin Pie, Deviled Eggs and Homemade Cranberry Sauce. I ate to Much as that was Lunch and as for Dinner I skipped it.

I agree the Frozen is delicious, However I do order and eat a few of the Non Frozen Lunch and Dinner entrees as I like some of them too and to have a larger selection to eat. I alternate the Frozen breakfasts with cold cereal for the same reason and having cereal now I remember how I liked it when I was young :)

Following the NS 100% is hard and TBH I do not always succeed :(

    Have a Nice Day

More Humor once again including some left over Thanksgiving humor to match the leftovers from Thanksgiving

    Hi
I was out walking again this Morning. The temperature this morning was 28 on the porch and 36 on the cable channel. It was a bit chilly while walking, I was glad to have the Heated Gloves :)

Sadly my brother brought some temptations into the house yesterday after visiting some friends where they work retail in a small location. Or to put it another way they filled a large ZipLock Bag with an assortment of left over from Halloween Candy bars :(:)

The Turkey Carcass is now in the garbage and the Meat is wrapped in foil to be broken down further later on and Vacuum sealed into portions. The 8+ pound Whole Pork loin that was on sale yesterday and today is scheduled to be broken into Chops, a Roast and some earmarked to be used as Breakfast Sausage Patties. My Brother is trying to decide if it is worth going for a second one on his Key Tag as it is one per tag and I used my key tag yesterday, It does require a $10 minimum purchase to get the 99 cent a pound price but well worth it in my not so humble opinion :)

I do have to dress warmer than Thee, I am out the door before Sunrise :)
That does get me ahead of a lot of the traffic where I need to cross and the traffic noise.

I was on the state highway Route 22 yesterday on my way to pick up the Pork Loin that is on sale til tonight, I did not have to go that far and I was thankful as the road had a fair amount of really bad drivers on it. Not to mention that the State and Local Police were out with radar all over.

hi all , I eat everything not even getting near a scale for a couple of days . The weather here was cold but it seems to be ok now. I have been putting up my tree today we went and cut it down now all the fun starts but I have it pretty much done.

    Hello Irene
I know what You mean, Thursday I had a large plate of Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes both with butter and gravy as well as a large slice of Turkey with Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Pumpkin Pie, Deviled Eggs and more. The scale has been off limits since then, maybe tomorrow and maybe not. I can feel it and see it when I buckle the belt on my walking pants :(

It is cold before the Sun comes up, I have been putting the hood up on my hoodie and putting less ice in my coffee to bring it down to a drinkable temperature when I pick it up. One reason for that is the Yeti Cup I hang from my belt on my way to get a refill price coffee is open with the lid in my pocket to save wear and tear on the seal gasket form the extra on and off of the cup. Being open it gets prechilled on my way for the coffee. The Cup holds the coffee at the temperature it ends up being when I put the coffee in hence my adding ice to be able to drink it since I drink it black and no sweetener.

Enjoy the day of Rest and Recuperation

    Hi Joanne
Interesting, I liked the older color version of that movie, how is the remake ? Free Books, What title(s)

I am seeing more and more Christmas decorations while I walk. They started appearing a few days before Thanksgiving.

It is time for me to pull the Thanksgiving decorations and store them away for another year and see what I want to use this year.

    Enjoy the Day off
