Good morning. Frosty again here this a.m.
Sorry you're itchy, Jo....hope it clears up quickly. Poor Vinny sounds like he's having a hard time of it too.
Roger, I didn't walk yesterday....the day before we waited a little later so it was warmer. Wednesday was pretty nice here.
Hi Irene, enjoy your retirement...out to lunch! :)
Yesterday I went to my painting class and to the chiropractor...I haven't been for an adjustment lately and it was good. Glad I'm back on scheduling those, every little bit helps. Am starting PT again next week.
    Happy Friday, everyone. :)

    Good afternoon;
My rash is getting worse. I just went to see the nurse practitioner. She had no idea what I had, so now I am waiting for dermatology to call me with an apt.
    Vix-good luck with PT.
Irene-enjoy your lunch with your girlfriend.
Roger-I know you will make good choices at the restaurant.
    Have a nice afternoon. :)

    Good morning.
Hope you were able to get an appointment with the dermatologist quickly, Jo. One of my friends was allergic to the rash cream! I also found out that I get rashes from anxiety/stress. Have you ever tried an oatmeal bath? ( I have not, but read somewhere that it could help).
    Hi Roger and Irene.
Frosty here this a.m., but the sun is shining.
Out to lunch with the family today. Fun.
    Happy Saturday! :)

More Humor has just been posted, Mostly Christmas Humor

    Hi
I went out walking again this Morning. The temperature this morning was 29 on the porch and 34 on the cable channel. There was frost on the cars so it was brisk out there :)

We Did meet a friend, the other was stuck in traffic and could not make it and the rest were busy at the last minute. We ate at the House of Thai and I had PAD SEE EW, Which is Stir fried broad rice noodles in sweet soy sauce with Chinese broccoli and eggs, I had forgotten how good it tasted...

    Hi Vix
I saw a confused Forsythia today, It had yellow blossoms on it, I suspect that the brief warm spell had brought them out.

Anything that helps has to be good.

I woke up this morning with a swollen lip and eye and the rash on my face. I went to the ER and they gave me IV meds and kept me for observation. They still think it is an allergic reaction. I will be making an appt. with an allergist on Monday. They gave me stronger Prednisone and Hydroxyzine for the itching and an EPI pen. I hope it clears up so I can go to work on Tuesday.

    Hi
I went out walking once again this Morning. The temperature this morning was 39 on the porch and 41 on the cable channel.
It is a gray day outside currently, OTOH that did keep me from having to walk with the Sun in my eyes.

Thanks everyone,my rash is almost gone, but I am still itchy. I have been keeping a food log and will make an appoint with an Allergist today.
I am stuck in the house this morning awaiting delivery of a new mattress. We bought a new sleep number mattress, our other one was almost 20 years old. :o
My daughter and I went to a winter festival yesterday. There were a lot of venders there selling their wares. I bought a loaf of Irish soda bread made with stout. I gave half to my daughter to take home. It is so good toasted.
I also bought a vegan pocketbook and a scarf or my daughter. We then came home and watched the football game.
It wasn't a very exciting game, but we won. :)
    Enjoy your day! :)

    Hi
I went out walking once again this Morning. The temperature this morning was 28 on the porch and 33 on the cable channel. The frost was fairly heavy and it felt colder than what the Thermometer said it was. I did see the Super-moon when I started out walking through a very light cloud cover.

    Hi Joanne
I'm glad to hear that the rash is nearly gone. The Food Log could be a large help, OTOH do You want to have the rash happen again just to pin down the cause ?

I read on the Consumer Reports website that You should replace Your mattress "If You’re over age 40 and your mattress is five to seven years old. Remember, your body tolerates less pressure as it ages."

I'm guilty of being well over that FWIW :)

My Brother made Irish Soda Bread using a recipe that had Buttermilk in it, Normally I love Irish Soda Bread, that one I did not care for see he had to eat most of it, Even toasting it did not help.

I may be stupid You can say if I am. I would have thought that most Pocketbooks were Vegen unless they had leather used in them ?

    And more humor once again

    Hi
I went out walking once again this Morning. The temperature this morning was 45 on the porch and 51 on the cable channel. I noticed that I could only see a dim glow from the moon through the cloud cover.

I was out early and had a nice talk while walking with another jogger. It appears that both of us were out earlier than usual. For someone 12 years older than I it would appear from what he said about the route he covers that he goes further than I.

I don't have any more hives, but I am still a little itchy and I woke up this morning with a swollen upper lip.
Irene-I am sorry to hear about Annie, I will keep my fingers crossed that everything is fine.
Roger-the pocketbook that I bought feels like leather. I really don't know why they consider it vegan. I will have to google it and let you know.
Vix-I hope you enjoyed your massage.
I am supposed to go to the hairdresser tomorrow to get my hair colored and cut. I think I will skip the color until after my allergy tests and only get the haircut. I will have the hairdresser write down the name of the coloring that she uses, so I can let the Allergist know.
    Have a great evening. :)

I did post more humor and a Historical type image

    Hi
I went out walking once again this Morning. The temperature this morning was 51 on the porch and 51 on the cable channel. I was underdressed for my walk as result of that reading. When I got going the wind kept picking up and the wind chill told me I should have dressed warmer, thus I did not cover as much distance as usual :(
The forecast rain came in later than forecast as well as lighter and left earlier. The streets and sidewalks were already dry when I went out the door, I suspect the wind helped with that.

I need to run down to the basement freezer and bring up a set of frozen NS breakfasts since I have switched back to Hot Breakfasts and will be eating them until I have had one each of the NS breakfasts at which point I will switch back to Cereal until the quart of milk is used up and then the Hot / cold cycle begins again.

It occurred to me that I need to dig out My Address book and start doing Christmas Cards already.

Thanks for the offer to look, I had thought You knew :)

That sounds like a good idea to ask about the coloring agent, OTOH I have a suspicion that if it were that You would know from scalp problems ?

    Have a Good Day

good morning, nothing new here Annie is feeling better she runs into everything with that cone including me . Her eye is all healed so now all we have to do is wait for the stitches to be removed . Mean while I really can't do much don't want to leave her with that thing on her head . Jo hope what ever it is it goes away soon and you start to feel better. Roger we did our walk this morning and it was warm but windy. Vix what have you been up too?
