Hello all.
Good luck with your allergy tests, Jo.
Great news on Annie, Irene.
Roger, thanks for keeping the funnies coming. You find a lot of change!
We flew to Long Island this time. It is much easier on us. More expensive, but worth it to skip the stress of driving. It snowed on Saturday there, (and in Md), but the roads were fairly clear and our flights weren't affected. My MIL and SIL are doing pretty well. My MIL has gotten really small, and she gets confused and doesn't remember some things, but she still has a sense of humor. There are some sad moments when she realizes she is confused. C'est la vie.
We're back and I went to PT this a.m. Need to do laundry, etc. Will get back into my routine.
Happy Monday, everyone.0 -

Hi
I'm back from walking this Morning + 10 Cents. The temperature this morning was 35 on the porch and 44 on the cable channel. I did see Deer in two locations, Two running alongside of the road and one in a different area running across the road in front of me.

Hi Irene
That is good news that Annie is well. You are putting in a new refrigerator to go with the house when sold ? Hopefully that works well for You.
Around here the roads and sidewalks were clear with a few icy patches on the streets and where someone had packed down the snow. The walking was fine and needed no real care. I finished clearing off a sidewalk Monday where I had cut back the huge weeds that had grown over it. Everybody including myself were just walking around that area and then since I had found the cutters I decided to throw them in my pocket and clear the overgrowth on Sunday. Monday I finished the trimming by cutting back some wild Raspberry plants and using the tip of my walking stick to move the leaves that had built up underneath on the sidewalk.
Today as I walked over a bridge I did hit a icy patch and my foot slipped, Not to far so no real problem.
Have a Good Day

Hi Vix
No problem as long as my brother keeps emailing them to me
For You it would be a fairly long drive, Anymore even from Central NJ Where I could hop on I-287 to Staten Island and then to the Belt Parkway I would not care to do it anymore due to traffic that never does more than slow down overnight.
With Fuel, Wear and Tear on the car and Tolls and being rested is the flight that much more expensive ?
I'm sorry to hear about the MIL's getting confused.
I was saddened that there was another terror Attack in NYC Monday

Vix-I am sorry to hear your MIL is getting confused. It must be hard to see her this way. Hugs.
Irene-Is it normal to sell houses in NJ with refrigerators? Here in MA even if you rent, you usually have your own refrigerator.
Roger- I found 1 cent and a coinstar voucher for 80 cents today.
I didn't end up getting allergy testing. After the Dr. took my history and had me describe what happened, he decided not to test me. He doesn't think it was anything that I ate because I would have had symptoms within 15 min. He told me to go back to eating whatever I usually eat and to call if I develop any more hives.

Hi
I'm back from walking this Morning + No Cents. The temperature this morning was 24 on the porch and 25 on the cable channel. The wind chill temperature was a little above Zero with the moderate and gusty breeze. I could feel it on the face where it was not covered by the Hoodie and whenever I needed to take the heated Mittens off.

Hi Irene
Congratulations on officially joining the ranks of the retired
We have had side by side and bottom drawer and top door freezer sections in the house over the years. The Current model has a bottom freezer with one door that has two trays, one that is attached to the door and a second one pulls out as needed. And I have a chest freezer in use in the basement.
You must be near finishing the painting as far as I can tell.
Stay warm, it was a misery out there while walking, I got it in though I could feel the cold eating away at my stamina. I could understand if you stayed in today after sticking Your head out the door to check. I also did not see nearly as many people out today compared to the normal amount I see.
Have a Nice Day

That is a interesting find, I would never have noticed the coinstar voucher while walking. One of my banks offers free coin counting for customers and I always redeem it while I am there
I hope there is no recurrence of the hives and that it was a fluke. One other possibility just came to me. I wonder if it could have been an environmental cause brought on by something in a location You do not usually go to.
I hope the weather is better where You are. It would not have been so bad out is not for the wind chill.

Hi
I'm back from walking this Morning in a light snowfall, It snowed overnight and so far there is over an inch of the white crudThe temperature this morning was 25 on the porch and 24 on the cable channel. The wind chill from yesterday is now history
Today I did not go as far as usual due to the snow which was somewhat slippery underfoot except when I could walk in the road. Then I had to climb out of the road when traffic came at me. I can hear noises that tell me the snow is packing underfoot when I walk on it and thus I got 3/4 of my normal distance.
Whoo Hoo, AKA Whee, I'm in the money. The other day I had a Phone call that My money woes are over as I have been pre approved for a Payday loan and the next day I had a different phone call telling me that I was Pre Approved for a Loan. Naturally I was less than eager to bite on those scam calls.

Hi Irene
I did get My normal distance yesterday, OTOH it did leave me feeling tired due to the cold sapping at my strength. Today was much more comfortable for the temperature while walking, The Snow was actually worse than the cold Wednesday. I could feel my feet slip a few times while heading out thus I shortened my walk. I am siting here sipping the coffee I had left whereas I normally finish it on a normal days walk before I get home. The Yeti Coffee cup does a good job of keeping it warm.

Hi Vix
If I said the roads looked better yesterday than they did this morning. Some of the slippery spots appeared were caused by cars pulling in and out of their driveways and the rest looks to be where they shoveled their driveways into the road and where they pulled out onto the road and then cleared the snow off of them. BTW it is illegal to throw snow into the road but people do it every year,
They closed schools by You ? I heard of delayed openings and One "One" closing for a less than whopping 3 inches of snow.
I hope You had a good time

Hi Vix
Our side streets are white this this morning, The main roads were only wet. I found it strange IMO that the only spot where I had to watch out for ice and be extra careful was less than a block from the house on my return portion of the walk. If I had went that way outbound I would have been tempted to shortcut my walk, as it was I had no problem walking and did 8600 steps.
No more acupuncture for 2017, I hope that is a normal spacing for You and not influenced by the holiday season.
Have a Good Weekend and Stay Safe

Roger, I just used up my insurance allowance for acupunture for the year, but it's ok, because in 2 weeks it will be a new year.We have a light dusting of snow on the sidewalks and driveways, but the roads are clear...I guess they put down a little salt.

No big plans for today, will probably go out later when it warms up.

Hi Vix
You were lucky with the snowAs I look out the window the street in front of the house is still covered with a slight amount of the dark pavement color showing through the cover. The Sidewalks and Driveway I shoveled as well as the Car that I cleaned off are dry now, Yea!
It was and still is cold outside IMO.
Good Timing on Your part with the Acupuncture and Insurance.
