Good morning.
I too was going to recommend taking the craft items to a Senior Center. They usually take donations, and have craft groups. Some make things and donate them to hospitals, so in a way it's double giving.
It's warm here too, though cloudy, mid 50s now, forecast to hit 60 today. Rain tomorrow...maybe it will wash some of the salt off my car!
Thanks, Roger...pretty exciting when the kids are all grown up.
Just back from acupuncture. Will probably do some more decluttering today.
Happy Monday.
Hi Vix
I see Irene beat You to the punch on the Senior Center
Good Luck with removing the clutter.Good morning.
Thanks, Jo. Yes!He's going to be only 30 minutes away.
It is amazing how quickly we accumulate!
Today's my busy day...stained glass, clay and PT.
Have a great day, everyone.
I am not sure amazing how quickly we accumulate is quite how I would phrase it.
Have a Good Day as You wend Your way through all those activities.

Thanks, Irene. Glad you aren't responsible for the pipe problem....that would have cost a lot. Hope the Dr. visit went well.

Hi
I'm back from walking again and No cents. The temperature this morning was 25 on the porch and 23 on the cable news channel. There was a bit of a wind chill while I was walking whenever I was facing the breeze.
The gas and electric bill that came was as bad as I had expected it would be due to the very cold weather, $139 higher than the previous months bill, I may have to pull some money out of my small savings account if another bill comes in before February 14

Hi Irene
I hope Your allergy is not causing any issues for you.
Not hearing from Empire would have been enough to make me think twice, OTOH I tend to take umbrage easily and have walked out of a business more than once when it was hard getting served in a timely fashion, If it happened a second time that was it and they would have to be the only place that I could go to make me go back.
If You had needed to repair the sewer line instead of the town needing to do it I would have suggested this process that I first saw being done a a "This Old House" TV show a while back.
https://pipelt.com/pipelining/
What is Pipe Lining?
Pipe Lining is a minimally invasive process which allows the rehabilitation of existing drainage pipe without having to tear it out and replace it conventionally. In short, Pipe Lining is accomplished by inserting an epoxy saturated felt tube into the pipe, inflating it and letting it cure in place. After the liner has cured, the result is a brand-new pipe within the old pipe. This new inner-pipe has a 50 year life use expectancy – that’s almost double the life use of cast-iron in South Florida!
Have a Nice Day

I would not have called 7PM late, Even now where I go to bed at 10PM, earlier around than I used to do while I worked my last job. Then It was more like Midnight to 1AM. OTOH I did not have to get up before 9AM to do a 6 minute drive to be there to get the place opened and the systems running for a 10AM open.
I hope Work went well

Good afternoon;
We are back to winter again, brrrrrr.
I didn't end up staying at work until 7. Management was looking to cut hours, so I volunteered. I as home by 3:30.
Roger, I found a penny today. One of my fellow employees, who was outside smoking, saw me pick up the penny and laughed at me.
Irene-Did you take the day off. We all need a do nothing day once in a while.
Hi Vix.
Enjoy your evening.

Hello.
I won't have test results til tomorrow or Monday. Meanwhile I got a pretty nasty cold, my whole body ached last night. It is colder out today, I think the high was 35. I went to my painting class, but made sure to keep away from everyone and this afternoon I had my last PT session. I'm going to relax for the rest of the day. Hope this cold clears up quickly.
Always good to take a day off after working hard, Irene.
I wouldn't like working til 7 either, Jo. I did it occasionally when work was backlogged. It was draining (but those were usually 12 hour days...yuck).
Roger, our gas bill was higher this month too. I guess it was those really cold days.
Have a good evening, everyone.0 -

Hi Irene
I was feeling like I might need a day off today, however I did get out walking for over an hour despite that.
I did have one thought about the house in Trenton, Why not bring in the realtor You are going to use and let them make some suggestions as to how to finish the house. They should know the market that they serve.
Good Luck

Yup, and of course there goes the gas bill which will likely be high once again. I think I would have volunteered to go home early, I was never a workaholicI did always try to do what needed doing.
A penny found is still worth something. I use them as a part of exact change when I buy my coffee, Exact change speeds my trip slightly and helps others in line behind me that are in a hurry.
Have a Nice Day

Good Luck with that cold, I hope it does not turn into the flu, be careful, I'm sure You got a flu shot which is supposed to help prevent the worst of the flu.

I came home to my street blocked off. There are repair trucks about 1/3 of the way down the street. Luckily I can access my street from both ends, so all I had to do was go around the block. I have no water, so I am suspecting that a water main broke.

Hi Joanne
It sounds like a broken water main to me too. The other possibility might be that they shut off the water to change a fire hydrant as I believe that might have to have the water off, I don't know either way.
What I do is sort through the news links my brother sends my way and to find interesting non political articles, although sometimes like today I may throw one in that could be considered political ? Hi
I'm back from walking again and No cents. The temperature this morning was 50 on the porch and 50 on the cable news channel, higher than yesterday. Today's when I left to go walking there was a light rain falling, the rain appears to have ended as I approached the house.

You may want to watch the moon on Jan 31:
Residents of the western United States, Alaska and Hawaii will have the best chance to see the full lunar eclipse.
For those in the eastern U.S., the eclipse will begin at 5:51 a.m. on Jan. 31. Because the sun rises just 16 minutes later, they'll only be able to see the beginnings of the eclipse.
Further west, stargazers will be able to see more of the eclipse. People in Hawaii, Alaska and on the West Coast will have the best chance to view the eclipse in its entirety, weather permitting. The partial eclipse will begin at 3:48 a.m. on the West Coast, with the total eclipse beginning at 4:51 a.m. and ending at 5:29 a.m.
It is also a Blue Moon (second full moon of the month) and a Super Moon (appears larger because it is at it's closest point to earth).0 -
