Good morning.
The sun is shining here. 33 out but up to 55 today.
Roger, my husband mowed this week, although we're a little ahead of you Springwise.
I'm lucky, only wear glasses for reading and I can buy them over the counter, usually get 3 nice pairs for about $10-$15 (thanks to TJMaxx/Marshalls).
Jo, I agree about the smart cars. I like to be in control too.
Irene, hope your ear is feeling better.

More humor, Natch
Hi
I'm back from walking and no cents. The temperature this morning was 33 degrees. Overall it was better walking than yesterday despite being being cooler as there was no breeze.
I did have a Pair of Deer moving back and forth across the road in front of me for a few blocks. Due to the size difference one I'm guessing mother and young'un.

Hi Vix
That sounds more or less like today's weather forecast, There is a stretch of 60+ degree weather in the forecast too, Whee !
My brother and I were discussing mowing the lawn, It has turned green and is looking a bit raggedy.
Both of us here feel that self driving cars are a bad idea, and that turning people loose on the roads after have used Marijuana is a bad idea. That is based on the Governors plan to legalize it.
I know how some people feel about past the use by date foods, however and FWIW...
I was in my basement freezer and ran across a NS Cinnamon Streusel Muffin from my 7th delivery with a Enjoy by December 3, 2014 date. I had it for my snack before walking today, it was still tasty with the original texture and flavor, And possibly due to the packaging or the Oxygen absorbent pack there was no Freezer Burn or off tastes.
I had not realized I was on NS that long

Good morning.
Walked in the park yesterday, chilly but sunny and nice.
Roger,it's 33 now, but supposed to go up to 60 today and mostly sunny. We often see deer in the park, and a herd of about 9 of them on the adjacent farm. The turtles are starting to come out and sun themselves on logs in the lake. And there is lots of green sprouting.
Happy Saturday, everyone!0 -

I decided to post all my replies today in one postGood morning.

Hi Vix
Here in town the Deer seem to hang out in the woods along the brooks by day and come out to eat peoples landscaping by night. I tend to see them when I am out walking before 6AM. I have seen them leap over fences that You would not think they could clear so I do not know how to keep them out of the garden unless everything is fenced in. Last fall they mad my brother angry, they found the fig trees and ate the figs off right before they were ripe enough to pick and eat
We are heading into a warm spell with highs in the 6os here and some rain by Wednesday if I recall the latest weather forecast correctly. Hopefully the rain falls after I finish walking.
Things are indeed greening up nicely, OTOH that means yard work.
Have a Good Day
RogerIreneMurman wrote: »hi all doing good got the yard and shed done taking the weekend off and will go Monday to dust and vacuum
Hi Irene
I wish I could take the weekend off, OK TBH the summer off from chores
Yesterday, Saturday's work some of which was shifting things around in the shed to create a place for the wood from the boxes that were placed around the Fig Trees last fall left me tired.
I think I shall have my brother pick up a jar of pizza sauce to go with the Shredded Mozzarella in the Refrigerator and the English Muffins I froze while I decided what to do with them.
Then I can toast them lightly to crisp them and use the sauce & cheese on them into the microwave to make small mini Pizzas
Congratulations on getting all that done, Enjoy the Day

Hi Joanne
It's a shame that someone has to get their kicks doing that, Swatting is a nationwide problem. The Good news would be that their was no intruder or home invasion. It does seem that it could have been worse.
As I look out the window right now the sky is a pretty blue and cloudless so I expect that it shall warm up nicely and quickly.
After all the branches that fell from the winters storms the town did a good job cleaning up the bigger branches and the tree services they brought in did a nice job trimming broken and dangling branches.
Then We raked the lawn and bagged the smaller branches which the town picked up on the regular yard waste day so no expense their. Even the Lawn waste bags were leftover from the fall bag distribution by the town. We get a coupon in the Tax bill for one free bundle.
Enjoy the Day

Good morning.
Nice sunny day. Walked in the park again yesterday. Supposed to be mostly cloudy with a high of 61 today. Maybe I should get out while the sun is still shining.
Jo, I think that would have been scary for a lot of people being evacuated...good that it was a false alarm, but who does that? Sounds like we all enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday.
Irene...enjoy your weekend break.
Roger, we're pretty lucky so far....the deer haven't been coming to our yard, but we do have plenty of rabbits. My son has a whole small herd that visits his yard, we joked about not having to mow the lawn.
Happy Sunday, everyone.0 -
Good morning;
Another beautiful day in store. My daughter and I are going for a walk in one of the state parks.
We have a few rabbits in our yard, but mostly squirrels. I counted 6 the other day.

good morning, went for a walk and found 2 cents yeah. Not much going on yesterday George and went to Trenton and got everything from the shed we don't have much left to bring I do have a large out door dog that we need to bring up it was too heavy for him to pick up by his self. The weather out side is so nice maybe we will go for another walk later or a car ride. My ear is still healing so I am keeping my glasses off , it sure is taking a long time to heal. Roger I only picked up a couple of bags of mulch for the front of the house. Take care all0

Hi Vix
So far so good walking in the early morning such as today when I was out the door at 5:10 AM. It was only 39 degrees due to the cloudless sky and was not bad due to no wind and thus no wind chill
I wish the darned walking appetites AKA Deer stayed out of the garden. Last year they ate most of the leaves off of the Apple trees for example and towards the end of the growing season they decided to eat all of the nearly ripe figs of of the Fig Trees
If they kept the lawn mowed instead of eating the garden and landscaping I would not be bothered. It is a beautiful day. Still a little chilly, but went for a walk around the neighborhood.
Have a Nice Day

Hi Irene
I'm guessing that the yard dog is a statue ?
My Brother is now looking for mulch on sale and he always buys enough for the front yard and garden out back in one trip since he now has a F150 Pickup Truck with the 8 foot bed. That makes it a bit of a drag to load and unload.
Congratulations on the money find.
I could go out later in the day, OTOH that does tend to lead to buying foods that I should be avoiding when I go past where they are sold. Part of what helps me avoid that sort of thing is my brother does most of my grocery store shopping. Yesterday as an example, he picked up a loaf of the 647 40 calorie per slice bread, Clementines that were on sale and baby carrots that I add into the frozen vegetables when I microwave them.
Good Luck with Your ear healing quickly

Hi Joanne
The best made plans and all that...
Yesterday the plan was to Fertilize the land and then lime it. Liming did not happen. The fertilizer had picked up moisture and did not feed through the spreader and as I result I had to hose it out and that precluded the liming, oh well, another day will have to do.
I can understand feeling tired

Have a Nice Day
RogerGood morning, rain here too.
Roger, sorry, I was kind of over the top with news yesterday. Some of it is interesting, some of it is just junk, and lots of times I do only read the headlines! Seems like so much is just "in our face" at this moment in history. I need time away from it.
You're so industrious, Jo!
Good luck selling the house, Irene!
Happy Wednesday.
If You think the ones I use are junk, some of the ones I skip are either depressing or Political. I have found some of the health and financial ones interesting. I try and use a mix so that some of them will be appealing.
Since I DVR the TV news after skipping the garbage, weather and repeats I can get through a 1 hour broadcast in 20+ minutes. The weather gets skipped after the first one, they seem to give the weather every 6 or 8 minutes. Talk about overkill.
I find much of the TV news to be depressing too.
Have a Good Day
Roger
