Parts of the area hit into the 80s Friday and earlier in the week the forecast was for warmer Saturday, Last nights forecast was that today would not get that high with a cold front moving in.

    Congratulations on the Rheumatologist's visit.

    Hi all.
Congrats, Jo on your BP lowering. Thanks, I'm really enjoying the stained glass work.
Irene ,good work on your front steps and railing.
Roger, it's beautiful here today. Went for the walk in the park. High of 82 and sunshine. We'll be back into the 60s and rain tomorrow, so enjoying it while we can.
The cherry blossoms are blooming (they line the road into our development and it's beautiful). We also have daffodils, hyacinth, snow drops, creeping phlox, and some of our flowering trees blooming. Very pretty. Hubby put our new patio chairs and umbrella together and put them out on the patio, so we now have some comfy seats to enjoy the outdoors at home. I also got new cushions for the set we have on our deck, so they are more comfortable now too.
    Happy Saturday, everyone. :)

    Good morning.
Raining here and only expected high of 53.
Roger, they're outdoor cushions so should be ok if they get wet, but we got covers for the chairs anyway, so we put them on last night because we knew it was supposed to rain. I think they'll last longer that way. We had our last outdoor cushions for 4 years without covers.
Our son and his girlfriend stopped by last night. We had a nice visit and went out to dinner.
We have a 40th anniversary celebration to go to today, my daughter's parents-in-law.

If I said That Saturday and Sunday I was running the AC and today the heat... Wet and Windy by 6PM Sunday here.
I saw on the 10PM local cable news that there was a near 50 degree temperature change in parts on NJ from a time on Saturday to the same time on Sunday, Trenton was one of the areas that showed a really large IMO change.

Good Luck finishing the final details quickly.

USA Today Declares ‘Ebony and Ivory’ Offensive, Insufficiently Woke
The writers call the Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder song 'naïve' compared to the 'woke factions of today's cultural discourse'

....The reason why some of the songs might be considered offensive are pretty straightforward, such as Nirvana's "Rape Me." But even well-meaning songs were declared offensive, such as Live Aid's "Do They Know It’s Christmas?" USA Today acknowledges the song was written to raise money for the 1980's Ethiopian famine, but complains the group "did it with a song that declares the entire continent of Africa is bereft of water, trees or joy."

Even "Ebony and Ivory," the 1982 anti-racism collaboration recorded by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, was declared politically incorrect for not being "woke" enough.

"McCartney and Wonder meant well with their hyper-literal interpretation of race relations," USA Today acknowledges. "But their message of ‘people are the same, there’s good and bad in everyone, so let’s just get along' would be interpreted as hilariously naïve by the more woke factions of today's cultural discourse."

Aerosmith's "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" is likewise declared problematic, even though the song about a feminine-looking man was written by an openly gay songwriter.

    Humor once more

    Hi
I'm back from walking and no cents. The temperature this morning was 39 degrees. To Do list for the day is started, Charge the batteries for my heated mittens that ran out this morning , The iPod showed low battery yesterday and this morning so it needs charging too. Before I do that I need to add and delete items for iTunes, then plug it in and synchronize it. Beyond that I have nothing critical that needs doing :)

The Audio-book I was listening to finished while I was walking so I switched to Music which I am still listening too. I did that on purpose as when I Synchronize the iPod it means I need to remember where I was if I was in the middle of a book so it is easier to switch to music. iTunes gets updated for content when I finish my messaging later on so why not listen to more music...

The iPod also goes into a different state when the low battery warning appears, I hear it announced in my ears and on the screen. When that happens I can adjust the volume as usual with the buttons on the side, however to pause it or change content I need to hit the button center bottom that makes the screen appear then swipe the low battery warning off to pause or change what I am listening too.

I blew it yesterday, my Brother gifted me with a 1/2 pint of Rice Pudding from a place he found that opened last week. End result, No more Rice Pudding shortly in the house :(

Good morning, things are starting to happen now today I am going to vacuum the attic stairs and make sure that room is done than maybe scrub some more cabinets in the kitchen on Monday we are suppose to have pictures taken of the house so we want everything looking shinny and clean. Our weather here is cold or at least the wind is. A week ago on Saturday I cut the back of my ear of course it got infected and it hurts it is going to take a while to heal because I wear glasses . I do take the glasses off as much as I can. Well hope you all have a great day. Jo enjoy your decluttering your attic

    Hi Irene
I wear glasses on occasion, My eyes are not as bad as my brothers, he needs them all the time. I wear them when driving, if I forget I can see good enough without and if I need to read small print on the TV I pause it then reach over and put them on.

The Last pair and this current pair I have the same frame as I liked the way it works and so comfortable. The arms that go over the ears are spring loaded so they put minimal pressure on the side of the head and the soft nose-pieces are comfortable too, the older glasses I had to order soft adhesive pads which helped.

That sounds painful, what did the doctor say about the cut ?

My Brother claims that in NJ a house must be Broom Clean before selling, What did Your realtor say about that ? I have seen homes on some of the shows about house flipping where they are sold as is and talk about full of junk or garbage :(

    Have A Nice Day
    Roger

    Good morning.
It's always better to have the house spic and span clean, freshly painted, and uncluttered to sell. You want it to be inviting for potential buyers. If you don't do that, buyers will lower their bids because they will feel the house needs more work. So...good job, Irene. I'll bet you're glad to be just about done.
Roger, Sunny here this a.m., but still chilly. Looks like it will warm up a little more next week.
I don't know if I mentioned this, but cherry trees line the road into our development. It is so pretty right now with all the blossoms.
Jo, hope you found some treasures in your attic.
    Happy Wednesday, everyone. :)

    Hi Irene
When I watch some of the shows about house flipping what I see is disgusting in some of the houses they look at. Stinky, or Buggy or just plain full of garbage I can not believe anyone would leave a house like that. Some of the people out there just amaze me with the way they do things. Your house would not scare me, I am sure it is clean and amazing. We do or do not have a mud room, it depends on what You would call the small enclosed front porch, I appreciate it for the ability to open the storm door, and be under a roof and protected from the wind too while I fumble out the front door key

My take on the yard is minimalist, unfortunately my brother had more grandiose plans that include plenty of flowering plants mulched in and more...

I did end up a little under my step goal, OTOH I did get my distance in so maybe I was taking longer steps ?

It is a shame You can not get them there sooner for the pictures.

    Good Luck
    Roger

    Hi Vix
I agree with Your assessment on the house being clean. From watching the TV shows it seems that having the house staged with furniture can help too, they seem to use staging companies that rent and stage with furniture.

The only time I could see selling the house as is might be an estate sell where You are being pushed by others to get it done.

I have seen the Cherry trees in bloom around here too, and the Tulip Trees are blooming now too. It is always nice to see things looking pretty

    Have a Good Day

Here in NJ at some construction locations only one lane will be open with both directions using the single lane with a person at each end holding a Stop Sign or a Slow (Go) Sign.

It seems we both found a penny walking :)

I hope the rain does not get in the way of Your plans.

Just curious, did You have the mulch delivered in bulk or pick it up in bags ?

    Good Luck with Your Ear

    Good morning;
Irene-sorry to hear about your ear. I hope it heals soon. I too wear glasses. I can't see without them. I would not be able to function without them.
Roger-I am not ready for smart cars. I like to be in control at all times. I think they will make people to complacent.
Vix-I didn't find any treasures in the attic, just a lot of accumulated stuff. I use to sell Avon products about 20 years ago and I still have all the awards that I won and a couple huge boxes of collectables. I am too lazy to put them on E-bay, so procrastinating about what to do with them.
I am off today and it is raining again. I am itching to get out in the yard and start cleaning my flower beds. Whenever I have the time lately, it is either raining or too cold.
    Have a great day! :)

    Hi
I'm back from walking and no cents. The temperature this morning was 36 degrees. There is a chilly breeze blowing too. As is my habit I turned on the Bedroom TV to check the temperatures and weather forecast and had a blank screen. To see if it were the TV or the Cable news channel I checked on the Living Room TV and found a frozen screen that appears to have happened while after 2AM. It was Out when I left to go walking and as of 6:45AM when I checked is back.

We have four 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs to try the next time a CFL burns out. They were on sale at the ShopRite recently for $0.69 cents per.

    Hi Joanne
FWIW, if they are collectables from 20 years ago, I would look to see what they might bring and then decide whether to Sell or Donate. Also around here we have consignment shops where You can have them sell for a percentage of the take. Maybe researching them will reveal that You did find treasure

Yesterday was a Dark and dreary day until well into the afternoon when a little sun and blue sky appeared. Until them it was on and off rain for most of the day, not a heavy rain, just enough to be annoying.

I have needed glasses at least since I got my drivers license and likely before that. It turned up when I failed the vision test portion of the driving test in one eye. Fortunately I can see fine for reading and the Computer usage without them. I only use them in the house to read small print on the TV or if I want what I am watching to be sharper. My poor brother has Bifocals and a separate pair for computer use. His wearing of them from waking up til back to bed has left dents on the nose and side of the head by the ears. That is why I love these spring loaded ones I now use. There is minimal pressure against the side of my head when I do wear them.

Looking out the window reveals that it is time to start thinking about filling the Gas can and mowing now that the lawn has greened up and is growing again. Too Early IMO :(

    Have a Nice Day
