    Good morning;
    I am off today and will be waiting for Salvation Army to pick up my old furniture. While I am waiting I will be doing some much needed housework.
    Irene-How is Annie feeling?
    Roger- We still have a lot of snow on lawns and piles everywhere from the plows. I can't wait for it to melt. The snow is very dirty now.
    Vix-I made corn chowder yesterday. Your soup sounds healthier. :)

    Good morning, we went for our regular walk this morning so I got my steps in right now I got in 11k steps in. Not too much planed for today just going to clean the bathrooms. Yesterday we got an airfryer so I will be learning how to use it. We got the Phillips one, better reviews I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for asking about Annie she is good you would never believe she had a tooth pulled I could never get her to take her pain pills she is a tough puppy. Jo enjoy your day off. Vix soup does sound good my problem is I like to have bread when I have soup so we don't have soup to often take care every one

    I'm back from walking and no cents. The temperature this morning was 39 degrees with a light drizzle falling that quickly cleared up and no breeze. Yesterday I saw two Deer run across the road and later on at the halfway point I saw 4 of them by a brook. Then today on the return leg I saw 4 more heading towards a different brook.

    I decided to change things up and go back to a regular pattern of eating starting Tuesday, Change is a good Thing to aid in weight loss.

    In that case You will need to go to the store as they seem to no longer ship physical cards and have gone to email, OTOH the email method means You can get them the day You want to use them.

    I was not feeling it walking for a few days, then I went back to having something to eat before heading out. Yesterday it was a NS Snack Bar and today it was a NS Brownie Snack. Between that and the coffee I am back to going the distance. Hopefully this could help You too.

    I only have three things on my shopping list and my brother will pick them up when he goes today or tomorrow. If I can stay out of the grocery store I'll be eating healthier since I can avoid impulse buys that way. He also needs to pick up the free ham we earned by spending $400 over a specified period of time.

    I seem to remember that the rest of today and the week will be better temperatures and weather. It is starting to dry off outside.

    We're going out for a family dinner tonight for my son's 30th birthday. Looking forward to that.
    Drawing and painting class this a.m. Yesterday I went to an art glass store with a couple of the ladies from my stained glass class. It was pretty awesome to see all the glass, books, equipment, tools and finished pieces they had there.

    I'm back from walking and no cents. The temperature this morning was 47 degrees and dry when I started out then a very light rain started falling that never became heavier.

    Today I walked on a 3rd route in the last three days, Wednesday I saw two Deer on my way to get coffee then at the 1/2 way mark I saw four more heading down towards the water. Thursday on a second route I saw 4 Deer running along a stream and then today I saw two Deer, likely the same two as Wednesdays on my way for coffee then on a third route I saw 4 different Deer in a yard, likely eating the landscaping.

    Yesterday I went to the new Whole Foods that is now open to look around. I did sample some of the hot & cold foods, I was not impressed by the Cardboard boxes available to use, They did not keep the food warm. WF seems to have an aversion to plastic including the bags used to pack the purchases. The Fancy fresh baked breads did look tasty if Calorie laden. FWIW the Hot & cold foods were $8.99 a pound.

    Call me cheap, I really wanted 5 more, $55 for $100 purchase is a great price and since they do not expire :wink:
    Oh well it is what it is, Better 5 than a limit of one or two. I was wondering when they would close that loophole where I bought on more than one day to get around the limit :(

    It has been drizzly the last three days, Surprising to Me it has never rained hard enough to do more than than get the ground wet. Today as I look out the window right now the ground is wet but not soaked.

    I Would say congratulations are in order for walking in the dank and dreary days we have been having.

    It was very nice being out with the family last night. We had Thai food and I brought a homemade banana bread with chocolate chips for the birthday cake.
    Looks like it's going to rain on and off all day here today, but will find something to do.

    I have found that I need to eat something before I head out walking, if I have a NS snack or Banana before I head out the door I can go further and have better speed while walking.

    I am starting to fell like I want to have Thai food in the near Future.

    I think I prefer my Banana Bread with Nuts rather than Chocolate Chips, That is a matter of taste however. I also like nuts in many baked items :smiley:

    The Sky was clear last night and there was a big bright glowing light in the sky AKA the Moon that helped light my way when I left the house.

    Since there is no way I could ever get my brother to have a CostCo card, He will not go near them.... Not likely to work for me. I suspect You are correct that the last minute shoppers will be mobbing the store also the ones that want to get perishables and others that would usually shop on Sunday that will be there Saturday to free up Easter Sunday.

As for the gift cards I am happy with the 5 I still saved a lot. I have been walking so I fell pretty good I am fitting into a six 6 which sure made me fill good.     I would concur that You were lucky. Today I need to do something I meant to do yesterday, I managed to not go pick up fresh fruit to supplement my diet plan :( Hopefully I can avoid temptation AKA impulse buying.

    My brother always gives a basket of goodies. It has Peeps in it, Yellow naturally. Jelly Beans, A chocolate egg, Something called Robins Eggs which the bag calls Malted Milk Candy in a Crunchy Shell, There goes the diet plan this week :(

    We went for a walk in the park. There were lots of birds...I saw one of those large woodpeckers, very pretty. I think it is the Piliated woodpecker.
