    Hi all
Irene...you deserve a day off! Thanks for the sympathy. I try not to have days like that.
Got on the eliptical and did PT exercises again today, going to try to be more consistent with that.

    Good afternoon;
Vix-I hope your day is going better than yesterday, Hugs!
Roger-you are doing so well with you weight loss.
Irene-You have been working so hard, you deserve a day off.
The snow is slowly melting, but not fast enough for me.
I am still adjusting to daylight savings time. I have been sleeping later in the mornings and have been late for work twice this week. I am usually early. Even the cats have been sleeping in.

    Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 28 degrees .
Yesterday the day turned windy, Considering that the early morning when I was walking there was no breeze the midday wind gusts were surprising. Parts of the NY Metropolitan area had wind gusts in the 30+ MPH range with Newark, NJ hitting gusts of 39MPH.

Yesterday we precooked via boiling Potatoes, Cabbage and Corned Beef so that they will be a easy heat to eat.

Looks like another cold day with the sun popping in and out. There's a little bit of snowy pebbles on the ground that's been blown around. Guess that's from overnight. Had art class and rheumatologist yesterday (not good).
Irene, you are really polishing up that house! So much work.
Roger, good for you to keep up that walking and congrats on the scale.
Hi Jo...Hope the snow isn't too much of a pain.
Not much planned for today. I do have an acupuncture appt this afternoon.

Good morning, We went for a nice walk this morning it was like 33 outside . Its amazing how we think 30s and 40s are nice. Not plan on doing much today I think all the work I did yesterday wore me out I still have a little corner to do in Trenton but I can finish it on Monday. The roofers will be there on Monday so it will be nice to have that done. Aw Vix sorry you had a bad day hope today is better Jo hope the snow is melting for you. I hear on Tuesday we are suppose to get another storm is it me or is this winter really getting old! Hey Roger. take care everyone

    Hi Irene
Agreed, that those temperatures are accepted as a nice day.

Winter has passed beyond being old IMO.

They are indeed muttering about another Nor' Easter :(
The last weather forecasts I saw seemed as if they could not decide if we would get a lot of snow or no snow or rain or nothing. I am hoping for nothing

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Joanne
Sooner or later the snow will be gone, Not much we can do about it sadly. The Snow that was on the ground here has melted away except where it was piled up by the plows or shoveling. I am still having to detour around areas when walking where the sidewalks cross the streets in some places, It depends on if the property owner cut through them when shoveling or not. The Town areas that the DPW maintains they bring in a small plow and plow the sidewalks, That would be Parks and sidewalks by the schools.

I am hoping that the first day of spring brings good weather and that the storm stays off shore and that it is the end of them too.

Strangely enough this year I do not seem to have had a problem adjusting to DST, That is different than in previous years, Why I do not know.

    Good Luck Adjusting

    New Humor, Enjoy

    Hi
I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 29 degrees. Yesterday I weighed the change that has been building up in my pockets and came up with 647g AKA 1.42639 pounds. Then I removed much of the change to lighten the load on the pockets.

Yesterday we had Boiled Red Potatoes, Boiled Cabbage and Boiled Corned Beef for Dinner, The Corned Beef was $1.88 a pound at the ShopRite using their coupon.

FWIW Friday my brother and I went to look at the new Whole Foods Grocery Store, It looked open with the store being full of people and the parking lot being pretty full. However upon checking the cars and people were what they called associates there for training and the store does not open until March 21. Oops.

It has been a few chilly mornings lately. Once again there was no wind when I left the house and as I neared it the breeze has started blowing, Not as bad so far OTOH.

    Are they that unreliable ?

    Hi Joanne
The CB Dinner was good, somewhat fattening of course.
Everything was boiled, The Corned Beef, The Red Potatoes and the Cabbage. I will be having the leftover cabbage today as my Vegetables, I plan to steer clear of the rest of the potatoes, my Brother overdid how many were boiled  and I will be using some of the Corned Beef as my extra Protein. Or I may use more of it with a little bit of potatoes as my Dinner Entree... Indecision, indecision  If we had been thinking we should have, could have used Brussels Sprouts instead of the Cabbage as They appear like miniature cabbages and have a similar taste.

Mall walking is something I have never done, To get to one I would have to drag my brother out to move his car and since I do not mind the Outdoors... And since I don't like to shop walking in a mall could be a bit of a drag for me, I'm not sure.

    Have a Nice Day

Good afternoon, we went for a nice long walk found 2 cents our walk was like 1 hr and 30 minutes right now I have in14,139 steps not sure if we will be going out again later or not. Roger the valve on it needed to be replaced and they put in new spark plugs plus changed the oil and a few other things we have had our generator while now living now in the country we will be using it more. I took in our little haul of change to the bank yesterday it was a 138.00 so that was a nice surprise it is the change we find on our walks plus change that we find around the house. Vix it is always nice when we get to clean the house. What kind of soup did you make? Jo its really nice when you come home from work and hubby has cooked I would call that a win win. Yesterday I had a little piece of the Boiled Red Potatoes, Boiled Cabbage and Boiled Corned Beef for Dinner. I have one more meal setup to be heated for today and some other proteins for use with Lunch.

The scale was nicely lower than yesterday morning, again, It seems that the "Time-restricted eating" combined with a 100% NS plan is working really well so far.

    Good going finding two cents.
Thanks for the information. I suspect You might be using it more. Just curious, I'm guessing that You are on City Gas rather than Propane. City water and sewers ? If not and on a well then You will need a source of power to have water.

    $138 is a nice amount.
I did enjoy the meal and made two more meals out of it and had one of them Sunday and will have the other one Today.

    Congratulations on the step count.

    Hi Irene
Being on City Water avoids lots of problems. I was watching something on TV the other day where the homeowner had to have a complicated well water system. The first item was a device to remove the radon from the water :(, then filters for sediment etc. Two Expansion tanks, two different pumps etc.

I'm not happy with the weather forecast either, Today we should be luckier than You will be down south where You are. OTOH Wednesday they are muttering about Snow :(

Congratulations on Your monetary find and getting out walking, I am thinking I might take a day off from walking tomorrow myself, and many days I have some knee pain when I start out walking that clears up shortly.

Have a Good day and Good Luck with the weather

    Hi Vix
I like many of the different winter squashes usually baked and less often boiled.

If it were just me I would likely just get some corned beef from a deli and boil some Brussels sprouts to substitute for the boiled cabbage and then when they are ready throw the corned beef slices into the pot with the Sprouts and call it my holiday dinner.

You have been lucky with snow compared to up here a little further north of You.

I'm back from walking again and no cents. The temperature this morning was 37 degrees with a breeze that caused a bit of a chill while walking. A light snow was starting to fall as I went out the door and is forecast to become much heavier later on this Wednesday. The footing was OK in may walking shoes and the sidewalks and roads were only wet with snow starting to stick on lawns and cars, It was also starting to build up on a footbridge I looked at while walking.

Not buying the program, though I thought it was pretty much at the level I need for now. I have my PT exercises I can do, and I've been using my elliptical.
    Happy Tuesday, everyone.

    Hi Vix
That sounds like a good idea, Driving on sleet and trying to keep the windows clear is no fun nor is it that safe.

Did You go to the Pottery ?

Good Job keeping the Exercise going.

Hmmmm.....little ice balls coming down now...odd they haven't cancelled schools with the change in the forecast. (They moved the snow up from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m., and changed the rain now to rain and freezing rain). Will see how long it takes them to send the kids home.

Looking at what hit parts of Alabama it could be a lot worse. Hail that large can do major damage.

County Commission declares emergency in wake of hail storm

The commission’s declaration of emergency follows Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey’s emergency declaration for North Alabama counties affected by the storms, which dropped grapefruit-sized hail over portions of Cullman County and wrought extensive property damage.

Sad that there was another shooting in a school. This was on the news yesterday, is that near You ? :(

A 17-year-old male student shot two other students at Great Mills High School in Maryland on Tuesday morning before a school resource officer engaged him and stopped the threat, authorities said.

Aw, Irene, I hope the medicine helps poor Annie....toothaches are the worst!
Well, I ended up staying home, schools were closed down early, it's been snowing for a while and the plows just came by with their first round. Crazy, 1st day of Spring, and we're getting our first real/accumulating snow of the year. I was hoping we would miss it!

I could be cynical when I say this but there is the possibility that they decided not to close the schools since with a early dismissal the day counts as a school day that does not make the school year longer.

Looking out the Window I see that the Snow is becoming larger and heavier and the lawn is turning white with the taller grass still sticking up through it.

    Have a Good Day

hi all, just got back from the vet on one side of Annie's face is swollen got meds hope it goes down if not I will take her in Friday morning and they will pull it , It is a tooth that is causing all the problems. Keep your fingers crossed that the medicine does the job . Friday is her birthday and she will be 12 years old.

    Hi Irene
I know that it must have made You unhappy. I hope it can be treated without pulling the tooth.

Good Luck and stay safe and with no power loss from the storm.

Good morning....I ended up staying home yesterday, they closed the schools in the afternoon. White out here this morning...snow is going sideways. Probably about 6 or 8 inches already.
The school shooting was not near us. St. Mary's county is southeast of Washington, D.C.
Good that the roof was fixed yesterday, Irene!
What a 2nd day of Spring!
