    Good morning.
I helped get the paintings into the fair last night, out of the teachers car and all registered.
Thanks about the stained glass. I'm proud of that one, the photo doesn't do it justice. It looks really great in a window with the sun coming through. The headlights look like they're lighting up.
It's good that you're all getting your walks in, and keeping up with the lawn mowing.
I'm going for my 2nd epidural today. Hopefully my leg will be feeling better. I would love to get back to my walks in the park, but am going to wait a few days this time.
    Happy Friday, everyone. :)

I posted some Humor a little while ago

    Hi
I'm back from walking and once again no cents. The Temperature out the door was 75 degrees and once again very uncomfortable walking due to humidity. I thought I heard rain around 3AM and sure enough when I looked out before heading out I could see where it had rained, not a heavy rain.

Thursday I took and scrambled an egg and after pulling it sprinkled some Shredded Cheddar on it a touch of salt and useful as is or in a sandwich.

We had lunch at the Chinese Buffet, I could have done better :(
I had a slice of their small Pizza, Sadly it was much tastier than the National Pizza Chain Little Caesars', Despite being held in a metal tray on the hot table their French Fries were tasty too. The Chicken Nuggets I tried were Meh
Yesterday was not that great looking, We hit intermittent rain going to and returning from the Chinese Buffet.
The item I ate the most of was the Beef Broccoli followed by Some Butter Cabbage assorted types of Chicken including wings

Then as the Coup De Grace My NS frozen delivery arrived after 3PM when I was feeling sluggish from the Buffet.

    Hi Irene
The lawn needs mowing, It does appear that the Weed Killer we spread last week has killed a lot of the weeds so Success. Now it just looks ragged from the way the grass is growing due to the mostly daily rain.

Good Luck with the Pool Heater

    Good morning.
Well, I didn't get all the immediate relief from the epidural that I did the last time, but they said to give it a few days to kick in. The doc said to take it easy for the week. I may go to the county fair today, but that will be mostly strolling, shouldn't be too much.
Great news!!! My son got engaged last night. Happy Family!

Irene-Did you get your heater installed? How is Annie doing? Any news on the sale of your house?
Roger-I also found a cent this week. I haven't been walking, it has been too humid for me.
We had rain yesterday until about 3pm, then the sun came out.
I had to take a trip to the doctor last Thurs. for a cyst on my thigh. The doc thought it might have been caused by a spider or other insect bite. I am on antibiotics and warm compresses.

    Hi Irene
If I said I am tired of all the rain and humidity...
The Skies opened up yesterday morning after I was back home from walking. I thought I had felt a few drops as I walked up the block to house and shortly thereafter, Heavy Rain. Then in the afternoon the sun came out and it was a beautiful if humid day. Likely the humidity was worse due to the rain drying off into the air.

Good Luck, I hope they finish the Pool heater

You are doing better than I this week finding money, I seem to have been spending it not finding it :(

I'm not surprised Your rain lasted later than ours as the weather reports all showed it moving Northward.

I am sorry to hear that You developed the Cyst. Somewhat scary that a insect bite can do that.

I hope the Antibiotics and Compresses clear it up quickly.

Thanks all...my son and his fiance are really happy, wonderful young people. So glad they will be together. (They loved the stained glass car I made for them). :)
Jo, hope that cyst heals quickly, sounds painful.
Interesting about the goat hanging out with deer, Roger. Those lizards, on the other hand, sound like a menace. Maybe we should be more careful about what pets we allow people to import, knowing how irresponsible some people can be.
Irene, hope they got your pool heater in.
We went to the fair yesterday, but the art exhibit was closed for judging....I guess there were too many entries for them to do it Friday night. So we'll have to go back to see it. We did see a pig race and a duck race which were kind of fun, and plenty of farm animals.

    Hi Vix
I thought that it was interesting too, Goat and Deer, I dug up that link after it surfaced on the TV news.

The same sort of problem has surfaced with people turning pet fish loose in the wild when they get to big.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snakehead_(fish)
"Since 2002, it has been illegal to possess a live snakehead in many US states, where they are considered a destructive invasive species. "Virginia has criminalized the "introduction" of snakeheads into the state without specific authorization, although the relevant statute does not explain whether mere importation is sufficient to constitute "introduction into the Commonwealth" or whether instead release into the environment is required.

    Good morning.
Roger, I read another longer article about the ticks....they are surviving better because of the warmer weather, spreading north and thriving in places where they would normally die off. The Mendocino fire is the largest recorded in California history, and the fires are worse and earlier than ever due to the extreme heat and dryness. All these weather related things happening in our country and throughout the world and it is still being denied by so many. Scary times....we are not protecting the earth, which is degrading our quality of life. Business won't matter if the earth is destroyed. Very frustrating.
Anyway, high of 92 expected today with p.m. t-storms. Haven't seen anyone building an ark yet.
No special plans for today....may go back to the county fair to see the art exhibit. Will see how the day unfurls.
Happy Wednesday, everyone. Keep cool. :sunglasses:

    08/09/2018 100%

    Hi
I'm back from walking and one (1) cent. The Temperature out the door was 79 degrees and very uncomfortable walking due to humidity.
Today is once again forecast to be in the 90s, The heat wave continues :(
The humidity is forecast to be lower later today, too late to do me any good walking.

I will be out the door later after my brother leaves to go to the post office. I have to ship back the old cable modem that they sent to give higher speeds for the same price, At least it is a prepaid label.
A price too high as is IMO. The swap was a pain in the neck. The problem started with the instructions.
Step 1. Download their App to the Smartphone.
Step 2. Scan a QR code.
