    Good morning.
Roger, very interesting about the piezoelectric devices they are creating at MIT. So many possibilities.
Irene, I'm sure you're enjoying the pool with this heat wave!
Jo, it's always wonderful when someone nice comes along on a bad day. There was also a man in the Walmart parking lot who came over and asked me if I needed help (while I was waiting for the tow truck). Restores ones' faith in mankind and kindness. Enjoy your days off. :)
We went for a walk in the park yesterday, got there about 8 a.m., so it wasn't too hot, ran into some friends on the trail, so that was added bonus. :)
I have a massage scheduled for this morning, and some errands to run later.
    Happy Monday. :)

Hi all, we went for our walk . It was nice it was like 66 but then that was at 3am I never got on the treadmill today at least not yet . We have a metal shed and it has seen better days so I started to paint it so far it looks pretty good next year we are planning on getting a new one so I just thought I would make it look a little nicer. Than I sprayed the whole yard we have grubs and thinking we there might have ticks also so I sprayed the whole yard which took 3 bottles and are good for 3 months. So I am thinking about doing nothing the rest of the day. I have to keep Annie in the house so the stuff I put on the grass doesn't make her sick. Roger I am with you I don't like all that noise from the fireworks.

No Rain for several days, So I was outdoors in the heat of the day watering the plants in the front flower beds.

I thought it was interesting too, A possible use would be to power things like a pacemaker.

When we picked up Mulch at Lowes last time a customer come over and offered to help, We must have looked like we were struggling

It has been humid enough that I am not happy while walking and I am getting out before the Sun comes up.

I should be so lucky to find 66 degrees out the door, with the heat and Humidity I have been shortening my walking as it saps my strength.

I hope the spray works well. The idea of ticks sucking my blood worries me.

I did get on the treadmill for 26 minutes so I did end up with my steps. Vix it sounds like you are going to have a nice day. Well take care everyone hey Jo

I wimped out and made a Grocery Store Run Tuesday. I picked up a Chef Salad that will be the last meal of the day today. I also have two Fried Chicken Breasts, same source in the refrigerator for my Holiday meal. Yesterday I tried two of the Macaroni & Cheese Breaded deep fried wedges, what they called Cheese-steak sliders. The so called sliders looked like a Corn Dog minus the stick. They were both OK.

    Hi Irene
You are so lucky with Your overnight Temps, even the Living room was 78 degrees this morning at 4:45, The first thing I did was energize the AC to combat that. When I walked out the door I could smell the humidity in the air :(

I would have though that short hair would be cooler for Annie ? Annie did not go for a swim while You were there.

Congratulations on getting Your steps in

We did our walk this morning really humid outside we saw 3 deer and a bunny so it was nice and of course Annie went swimming and she chased a stick which is an everyday thing now. Going to take George's truck in for new tires now that he has farther to go to work. That is about it for our plans for today. We did really didn't hear too many fireworks last night which is a good thing Annie gets so scared. well take care everyone

My daughter and I went for a walk at a new place a few towns over. Even though we had bug spray on the insects were relentless. I don't think we will go there again until the fall.
This morning we hiked up Blue Hills Reservation. There is an observation tower at the top.

    Hi
I'm back from walking and One Thin Dime found one block from the house. The Temperature out the door was 81 degrees and I was sweating heavily. The humidity made it very uncomfortable :(

As I was headed out the door I could see lightning in the distance and hear the grumbling of the thunder. Then as I was 2 blocks from home some light rain started falling.

I have been holding off on the Lawn mowing until the heat wave breaks. There is a cold front moving in and Today is out, rain in the forecast and at Noon Lunch with friends at the Chinese Buffet, I just need to be selective with what I eat. Wish me Luck

    Hi Irene
The Fourth was good here too. Yesterday I worked up a lot of sweat when we went to Lowes and picked up ten bags of Mulch, a Replacement handle for a Type of Hoe, A Edging Tool, Some Weed Killer to be spread on the lawn and a bottle of Weed Killer Spray.

As I recall last nights Weather Forecast the Humidity is supposed to break today.

No Problem with Annie trying to chase Bunnies and Deer ?

When my Brother bought his F150 four new tires were one of the first things he did to it. the Old ones were still legal, OTOH new tires hold the road better. When I acquired the Buick I had to put four new tires on due to the age of the old ones.

You were lucky that The fireworks were not all over. Does Thunder bother Annie, I suspect that it does.

    Have a Nice Day

I had no problem, OTOH I was on early.

I had the same problem when I walked in a park during the summer where I had walked during the winter. I got eaten alive :( I feel for You, It is bad enough when the little flying gnats buzz me.
