hi all, we got done with our inspections actually it was 3 one was for fire another for heating and the other was for the roof. It ended up costing 600.00 oh well nothing you can do about it now on Wednesday George will go and pick up the paper from city hall showing we past . I will be so happy when this is all over. We did walk this morning and it was a nice cool 66 which was perfect take care everyone
    Hi Irene
Finished and all good with the inspections, Congratulations. Am I remembering that You had a new roof installed ?
I wonder what they do for a fire inspection. Heating, I guess that would depend on how old the heating system is.

I suspect Once the house has closed You will feel as if a great weight has been lifted off of Your shoulders.

Good Luck and a Quick and Painless closing

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and no cents found. The Temperature out the door was 66 degrees cooler than yesterday and comfortable. When I left the house it was dry outside.
The Rain was on and off yesterday, heavy some of the time and finished by 4PM. Part of NJ and NY did have some flooding.

    Hi Vix
I did hear some thunder Tuesday,
Other than getting somewhat wet while I struggled with the Rain poncho once it started to rain since the wind kept blowing it and I had a hard time finding the opening for my head yesterday was OK, I much prefer looking out at bad weather to being out in it :)

I hope You had a Marvelous time with the Stained Glass And Clay

    Hi Irene
I am sure You will be happier once the House is sold.

It was a bit warm and humid walking Tuesday here too, It was OK however due to the cooling breeze until the Rain came and then the Poncho blocked the breeze and it became somewhat uncomfortable :(

You are not as sorry as my brother and I are that the Dryer is ten toes up AKA Pushing Daises. A little bit of research on the Internet came up with a test and it appears that the Motor is bad. Using three hands, One to hold the door closed switch, one to turn the dial to start and then giving the drum a spin counterclockwise and it ran which says motor according to my research, Dang it.

    Have a Nice Day

good morning, went for our walk and the weather was nice . Yesterday we had a big storm lots of rain but so far today it looks nice. We are going to close the pool this weekend so I turned the pool and heater off the heater really takes a lot of energy my bill was a 100.00 more and since we won't be in it I just turned it off. Roger hopefully the paperwork will be ready and George can pick it up from city hall it will either be ready today or tomorrow so until it is ready I will be a little edge even though they said every thing looked good. take care everyone

    Good afternoon,
Roger-I am sorry your dryer broke. Do you have a scratch and dent store near you? We got our last washer and dryer from a Sears scratch and dent store. They both only had a little cosmetic damage and work fine.
Irene-congrats on the inspection going well.
Hi Vix- How is Pete doing?
It is currently 64 here and misty. We had a lot of rain yesterday and flash flooding. Today was just cloudy.

    Hello,
I went to the pain doctor today. I'm going to let it be for a while. They said I could get more shots, but I'm not feeling like I want to for now.
Sounds like all is going well with your house, Irene. :)
    Hi Jo.
You're doing well with the walking,Roger. It's ok to skip a day here and there when the weather's bad. Too bad about your dryer. There will probably be holiday sales if you can wait. Columbus day is coming up soon.
Pretty much sunny and warm today. It's nice out.
We went to the P.O., library, Walmart, and grocery store.
I'm starting to plan my daughter's baby shower. Fun.
    Happy Wednesday, everyone. :)

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 69 degrees and comfortable. When I left the house it was dry outside. On the return leg of my walk there was a light mist blown into me that has so far not turned into rain. Two and three blocks from the house going for my coffee I saw t one full size and one smaller Deer trotting down the cross street, Then in the next block three more, One small and two larger deer ran across the street going from one lawn to another lawn on the other side of the street. Likely after eating landscaping or gardens :(

Yesterday we went to the local appliance store and bought a new leftover discounted floor model dryer. There was a Maytag that I would have been happy with for $20 lower in price. My brother did not like it as the controls were on the front which meant a flat top and my brother figured that he would be knocking things off of the top behind the dryer. There was a nice Speed Queen if pricey that I might have gone for, 5 year warranty on that one vs 1 year on the others.

    Hi Irene
The weather has been nice yesterday and today while walking.
Your big storm mostly missed us. No local flooding or rain totals compared to other areas.

That is a big jump in the electric bill, Yikes.

I find that I have problems with sleep when I have things on my mind too. That makes sense to me to hold off until it is done. I suspect I might hold off until after the closing, Especially the the ADT as I would not want to have the house unprotected until it no longer belonged to me, OTOH I tend to be very cautious.

    Congratulations on finds some money

    Hi Joanne
We do have a scratch and dent store semi nearby, Since my brother prefers dealing with people we know at a local store and have dealt with for years. It turns out the the dead dryer was bought in 2005, I had thought it was newer, Oh well. The previous Washer and Dryer were from Sears and lasted what seemed like forever.
I was sorry that the dryer died too, To good for me and the bad for my brother, My laundry a day or two previous dried and my brother ended up with two wet loads that he had to put on a clothes drying rack and a line he strung in his bedroom.

What we call flash flooding on the east coast in nothing like what they get out west where it can be dry and then a wall of water comes down a dry waterway due to rain in the distance.

Are those Edible, I have no way to know ?

if so yea! BTW I like that disposable Oval Plate

    Hi Vix
There was no way to wait since my brother will not use a Laundromat to dry anything.

Are You worried about side effects or a lack of useful pain reduction from the shots ?

Busy, busy every day from what I can see

Mom always enjoyed planning things too, Me I'm a play it by ear and see how it goes. When I went on vacation I usually had no definite plans and would decide what and where at the last minute. In January that meant driving to a warm climate. Hence Florida's Orlando area, Alabama, Louisiana, New Orleans, The Alamo, Carlsbad Caverns etc.

I don't want to bother with shots if they're not that helpful, and I'm not sure if there are any side effects. I tried statins a couple of times, made my whole body ache, only stayed on them for 3 weeks....that was the first time I went on NS,losing weight can help, my cholesterol dropped a bit. It's still high, but my doctors don't worry about it.

I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 68 degrees and semi comfortable. When I left the house it was dry outside and there is rain in the forecast.
While walking I saw one deer on the outbound leg and three on the return leg.

When my brother went out to mow he found a pile of fresh deer droppings and when I went to pick the Green Beans I could see where the Deer had eaten a fair amount of the leaves and even the tomatoes had stems missing. I did get some Green beans, Raspberries and Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes OTOH. I also got a case of itchy legs, I should have put on the long pants first :(

    I just posted more humor

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 72 degrees and semi comfortable except when the breeze blew. When I left the house it was dry outside except for the occasional drizzle.
The drizzle was not enough to pull out and wear the disposable poncho.

Yesterdays weather had seasonable temperatures with humidity in the 80+%. Later today there is supposed to be a cold front moving through with lower humidity.

I think I may take advantage of the Coupons from the Acme and pick up the 3+ pound 80% lean Hamburger at $2.88 a pound, The $2.77 pound of Butter, and maybe a Chock Full of Nuts 23 to 26 ounce coffee for $4.99. For this area these are good prices sadly. Then Monday I need to go to CostCo for some frozen vegetables as I have enough left to go into tomorrow.

Great, I'm sure that is weight off Your shoulders. The rain that was forecast for Friday never happened. With it in the forecast My brother mowed the Grass Thursday morning so that is done for another week.

The New Dryer has a lot more controls than the old one so I need to study the owners manual.

Wish me luck figuring it out.
