    good morning

Ed, I hope Ruby is doing better. Jo, it's so nice that you adopted Sam. The cats are lucky to have found you 2. Irene, guess you're feeling better and getting a lot done. My back is feeling a bit better. I took a naproxen before I went to craft day yesterday, and I am doing my PT exercises which helps. Thanks for all your well wishes.

It's currently 59F, 15C. Plentiful sunshine. Hazy. High 87F, 31C. HOT. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. I have an acupuncture appt this morning and will see what else the day brings. Wishing all a happy 🐪 day. ☕🌞🤞🏻🕊️🌸

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 21 (Celsius) partly cloudy degrees with an expected cloudy high of 27 and 84% chance of PM rain.

Supper last night was taco Tuesday taco salad. I made refried beans and made some honey mustard dressing for the salad. We started with a layer of refried beans, then a layer of Spanish rice, followed by shredded iceberg lettuce and the honey mustard dressing. The rim of each salad plate was lined with Tostitos round, bite size tortilla chips. The final toppings were a light sprinkle of Mexican style shredded cheese and some good, hot salsa from a jar.

Breakfast was gluten free waffles, with a drizzle of real maple syrup, and some medium spicy sausage patties. Orange juice to drink.

I have laundry to fold, if I get to it. Maybe I can get to it in breaks and a little at lunchtime.

    Good morning;

It is currently 68F with a high of 84F. We may have to turn on the AC. The landscapers came and put in the new shrubs.

    B46ABDA0-EFD8-47D5-898D-F1822119CD97.jpeg

Now all I have to do is power wash the stairs. Irene-Have you opened the pool yet? Vix-I am glad your back is feeling better. Ed-I get the feeling that you don't like to fold laundry.🤣 I have done one load of laundry and it in the dryer. I don't have anything else planned for today, except maybe a nap. I got up at 3am so I could be in work by 4am. I worked until 7:30 and then had to be home when the landscapers came at 8. Enjoy your day!😀

    good morning

Irene, I'm sure the rocks are going to look nice. We have white rocks under our deck, around our mailbox and next to some of our trees. It's easier to take care of. Ed, your dinners always sound good. I made a sheet pan tofu and vegetable dish last night. It had sweet potatoes and chick peas along with the tofu, cauliflower, onion, and spices, and a lemony tahini sauce. It was different, and very filling. I have plenty of leftovers. Jo, your house looks so nice! The shrubs are pretty. 😊

It's currently 66F, 19C. Partly cloudy. High 87F, 31C. Too hot! Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. We're going to get out to Frederick this morning, maybe walk along the creek again or along Market Street before it gets too hot. Will see what else the day brings. Wishing all a lovely Thursday. 🌞☕🌸🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have 20 (Celsius) cloudy degrees with an expected cloudy high of 28 and 44% chance of showers.

The new shrubs look great, Joanne!

Still have that laundry to fold and I really need to get to it today, as I need to wash whites and then get them folded! I could stand to wash some towels and bedsheets as well.

Supper last night was cheesy twice baked potatoes and dessert was ice cream.

Breakfast was Greek yogurt with vanilla cashew yogurt, and sausage patties on the side. Pineapple juice to drink.

My tea mug beckons, and work shortly.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have 21 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 32 and 5% chance of precipitation.

Dinah and I got that load of laundry folded and put away. But I still have laundry to fold as I washed the whites yesterday and they went into the dryer shortly after I got that other load put away.

Dinner last night, and breakfast this morning, was a nice cheesy frittata that I made. I started with a layer of shredded hash potatoes for hash browns, added minced onion, then shredded cheese, and then a mixture of eggs, milk, salt, and pepper and baked until golden brown and puffy. I had that with bacon, but Jason did not, of course. He had salsa and ketchup.

It will be nice to have the pool for the summer, Irene!

    Work beckons.

    good morning

Ed, I see you're getting through that laundry. I just put our towels and bathmats in this morning, housecleaner is coming today. (I generally fold as soon as the dryer finishes). Irene, I thought it was about pool time. It's getting hot! Jo, hope you had a nice nap the other day. That is very early to be up and at 'em.

It's currently 70F, 21C. Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. Storms may contain strong gusty winds. High near 85F, 29C. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%. We went to Frederick yesterday and walked along the creek, a bit along Market St. and went out to lunch. It was nice, had a great big glass of sangria. I tweaked my back again this morning. Took a naproxen right away and I have cranio-sacral therapy this morning. So hopefully will feel better shortly. Will see what the day brings. Wishing all an easy Friday. ☕⛅🌂🤞🏻🕊️

    good morning

It's currently 69F,21C. Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High 81F, 27C. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 90%. We went to Frederick again yesterday, it's a nice walk along the creek, with convenient low cost garage parking behind the library. They were setting up an art show/sale for today, lots of tents full of original works (we got a partial preview😊). It looks like it may rain most of the day, but maybe we'll get a break in the afternoon. There are lots of local happenings today. Will see what we're up for. Wishing all a restful, fun weekend. ☕☔🌸🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 26 (Celsius) cloudy degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 31 and 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms.

There is a pool party scheduled for this afternoon. I slept in until 9:00 and didn't feel I'd have time to get a good bake on my beans, so am not making any. I'm not sure I'll even go to the pool party. If I do, I'm sure the beans will be missed, but there should still be plenty to eat.

The area where the pool party occurs has only 15% chance of isolated thunderstorms.

All the current laundry is folded and put away.

My supper last night was a cheeseburger and some deviled egg potato salad, with a small serving of vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Breakfast was some Greek yogurt with grain free raspberry granola, and some sausage patties on the side. Pineapple juice was the juice of the day.

    My coffee beckons.

    good morning

Ed, I had greek yogurt and berries yesterday too. Will probably have some more today. It was delicious.

It's currently 68F, 20C. Showers this morning then scattered thunderstorms developing during the afternoon hours. High 72F, 22C. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%. We visited our son and granddaughter yesterday. She's a year and a half already. Toddler running and saying words is so cute! We walked to the park, and she enjoyed the swings and slides and seeing deer and birds. May be a quiet day today, will try to go out somewhere, maybe there will be some time without rain. Wishing all a peaceful Sunday. ☕🌂🌸🤞🏻🕊️

    Good morning;

It is currently 68F and the sun is trying to come out. Yesterday was cloudy most of the day and early evening we had heavy rain for a while. My daughter and I picked strawberries yesterday. Since it is early in the season we were only allowed to pick a pint each. We will probably go back in a few weeks to pick more. Sam caught a chipmunk yesterday, but it got away. This morning he was chasing it around the yard but couldn't catch it. We also had a groundhog stroll through our yard. I hope he doesn't make a home under the shed. Vix-I like your stained glass flower. Irene-good luck opening the pool. Ed-I had greek yogurt and granola. Do you get the plain yogurt or flavored? I have nothing planned for today, we will see what the day brings.😀

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

We have 23 (Celsius) partly cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 29 and 66% chance of AM thunderstorms, probably about 11:30.

That stained glass flower looks great, Vix.

Joanne, I generally eat the plain, full fat Greek yogurt with fruit or granola stirred in, or fruit granola! I don't have yogurt every morning, but at least two or three times a week.

The pool party was great. Despite the threatening weather, about 50 people showed up. Despite there being no beans, there was plenty of food. Several people brought fruit, one person brought a huge dish of roasted asparagus. I ate a nice serving of that, too many chips, quite a bit of the fruit, and just the teensiest taste of the peach topping on the cheesecake the hosts prepared. And of course a well grilled kosher hot dog and a nice burger with Swiss cheese, both with no bun.

Near the beginning, the dessert table looked like this:

    image.png

Mother Nature did eventually shut the party down pretty much, but not too early and I think everyone had a good time.

For our late supper last night, we ordered in from Pizza Hut. Jason had his usual thin crust, extra sauce, extra cheese pizza, and I had the gluten free crust with chicken sausage and bacon toppings, normal sauce and cheese.

Breakfast (brunch?) was late, as the cats let me sleep in until 9:00 again. By the time I got my tea brewing, and my weekly meds and supplements sorted, it was time to feed the cats. After feeding them, I put some chicken nuggets in the air fryer, and made a serving of gluten free maple brown sugar oatmeal. Orange juice completed the meal.

Grocery shopping is on the to-do list for today.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!

We have 20 (Celsius) fair, mostly sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 27 and 47% chance of precipitation with scattered thunderstorms.

My blueberries are getting ripe. So far I've only eaten a few out of hand, but soon I may start picking some in earnest. Or I may just snack on them and share with the birds. We'll see.

Supper last night was baked beans. Well, for Jason it was baked beans with some roasted red potato chunks. For me it was baked beans with an Ekrich smoked sausage, Cheddar and bacon flavor, in an Udi's gluten free hot dog bun. This was my first try on that brand of bun. It was pretty good too. It's the same brand as the gluten free crust at Pizza Hut. I've seen the crusts, I think, in the freezer section at Whole Foods. The next time I get there I may buy some of the crusts.

For now, since I have opened the Udi's buns and the package of smoked sausages, I guess I'll be eating those for a few days at least. There were six buns and six sausages so I have 5 of each to go.

Breakfast was some gluten free waffles, egg bites, and sausage patties. Pineapple juice to drink. I need to get more maple syrup next grocery trip.

    Work beckons.

    good morning

Thanks, all for liking my stained glass flower. Jo, fun picking strawberries! Glad the chipmunk got away. Not good to have groundhogs. We had one at our old house that was digging under the shed. We finally caught him and took him to a nature area about 8 miles away. Ed, the pool parties sound like fun. Lots of deserts, looks like lots of chocolate chip cookies, always a favorite. Irene, good that you're getting your pool up, it's getting hot.

I get the nonfat Greek yogurt. I can't really tell the difference. It rained pretty much all day yesterday. I ended up taking my outing at TJ Maxx. I bought a bathing suit with a little more coverage, Nautica, a plain skirt bottom with a tank top. I kind of like having a 2 piece. It's currently 68F, 20C.Sunshine and clouds mixed, overcast at the moment. High 83F, 28C. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. I have PT this morning, and will see what else the day brings. Wishing all a bright, shiny new week. ☕☁️🌥️🌟🤞🏻🕊️

    Scam of the Week

    Deepfake, Deep Trouble

In this week’s scam, cybercriminals are using artificial intelligence (AI) to try to trick you into clicking malicious links. You receive a text message or voice call from someone claiming to be a senior United States government official. They will try to establish a friendly relationship with you by sounding genuine, making the official seem trustworthy.

But these messages are fake and were actually created by AI. No matter the message you receive, the “official” will eventually ask you to use a different messaging app to continue the conversation. They will then send you a link that will supposedly take you to the new app. However, the link is actually malicious. If you click it, cybercriminals will be able to access your data and personal information!

Follow these tips to avoid falling victim to a phishing scam:

Be suspicious when strangers try to become friends quickly through texts or calls. Scammers will often try to become friendly with you so that you will be more likely to fall for their tricks.

Never click on links sent to you by an unknown person. These links could install malware, steal your data, or take you to fake websites designed to capture your personal information.

This scam is based in the United States, but be careful about messages from anyone claiming to be a government official, even if they act friendly. Scammers could use similar tactics anywhere in the world to try to steal your data!

    good morning

Ed, seems like more and more scams all the time. It's hard to trust anything online, or on your phone.

It's currently 70F, 21C. Cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. Slight chance of a rain shower. High 82F, 28F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph. Yesterday was a pretty quiet day for me, went to PT and for a walk around the neighborhood, did some things around the house, played with the grandchildren a little. Another overcast morning today, off to craft day. Wishing all a fine Tuesday. ☕☁️🌂👩🏻‍🎨🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have 22 (Celsius) cloudy degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 28 and 52% chance of PM thunderstorms.

I finished watching season 4 of Agatha Raisin and that's all there is. I enjoyed that series, a lot.

Ruby had the last of the current round of antibiotic. Changing her food is what I think helped the most with her issues. I have her now on the same "sensitive stomach" wet food as Dinah, and the same "digestive health and skin" kibble as Dinah, even though it's not kitten food. Ruby is 10 months old and the vet and I both felt that if it helps with her issues that it will be fine. She's close enough to a year old.

Supper last night and breakfast this morning was smoked sausage on buns.

    My teacup (and work) beckon.

    Good afternoon;

It is currently 64F and raining. A good day to stay in. Ed-Thanks for the scam info. I really liked the Agatha Raisin series. I am glad Ruby is doing better. lrene-Sorry to hear about your friend. Do you have a heater for your pool? Vix-Enjoy your craft day. Today I am doing laundry. Enjoy your day!😀

    good morning

Ed, so glad Ruby's doing better. We were only able to watch a few Agatha Raisins before it went to subscription only. Irene, maybe today will be your sunny day. Condolences on the passing of your friend. Thanks for liking my stained glass. Jo, hope you had a nice day.

It's currently 64F, 18C. Sunny. High 84F, 29C. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Yesterday was not my day.🙄 I forgot to bring my phone with me to start the day off. I cut out some glass for a 4 leaf clover, then started to cut some glass for a unicorn face, but the couple of pieces of glass I picked were not cutting right. One piece would only cut in straight lines, the other was crumbling when I tried to cut it. In clay, our kiln didn't get fired, and I was planning on glazing, but that didn't happen. Then I wanted to make a hummingbird feeder, but couldn't get the clay to the shape I wanted and kept starting over. At some point I gave up and made a couple of plates to go under my flower pots. I was exhausted by the time I got home. I'll be taking a break from craft day next week, we're going away for a couple of days. I'm taking my car in for an oil change and tire rotation today. I like to take it to the dealer, so that's a trip to Frederick. Will see what else the day brings. Wishing all time to enjoy the sunny day. ☕🌞🤞🏻🕊️🌸

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 21 (Celsius) foggy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high (AM clouds anyway) of 30 and 24% chance of precipitation.

Since I finished with Agatha Raisin (I bought the subscription) I am now watching three other murder mystery shows. High Potential, Murder in a Small Town, and Murder She Wrote. I think all three are on Hulu, with no additional subscription needed, but if you don't have Hulu I don't know where else they may be available. I have the Disney+/Hulu subscription with no ads (at least for most things) so it gives us a pretty good variety of stuff available.

Supper last night was nachos. Breakfast this morning was a small serving of Greek yogurt with granola, some chicken nuggets, and two Egg Bites. Pineapple juice to drink.

My work computer has finished installing updates so back to it!
