Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!
We have 23 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 34 and 24% chance of precipitation.
Supper last night was at BurgerFi, where they messed up both of our orders and had to re-make his veggie burger. For mine, I just threw the bun away (with some of my toppings stuck to it) and made do. It was supposed to be lettuce wrapped. And since they had initially provided him with a beef burger, ate that one too. This is the first time they ever messed up both orders, and it's rare for BurgerFi to mess up on either order. They must have been having a bad night in the kitchen.
Breakfast this morning was waffles and a couple of boiled eggs, with orange juice to drink.
I still need to get some laundry going.

Ed, I've never heard of BurgerFi, probably not around here, but I rarely go to fast food places.
It's currently 82F, 28C. Sunny. Near record high temperatures. High 98F,37C. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.🥵 Extreme heat warning. Went to TJMaxx yesterday looking for a light weight summer purse, didn't find one I liked, but came home with 2 nice sleeveless blouses. 😊 Our housecleaner is coming today, and I have a PT appt this morning. Need to stop and pick up a few things on the way home. Not planning anything else but to stay in the AC! Wishing all a bright shiny new week. Keep cool! 🌞🌟🤞🏻🕊️😎

Don't Make This Smish-take
In this week’s scam, you receive an unexpected text message that makes it appear that someone is trying to log in to your email or social media account. The message contains a multi-factor authentication (MFA) code and what appears to be a customer support number for you to call if you did not request the code. These types of codes are usually only sent to you when you are logging in to an account. If you receive one unexpectedly, it might make you think an unauthorized person is trying to access your account.
The message may seem legitimate, but this is actually a text message phishing attack (smishing). It was sent by a cybercriminal, and the phone number provided in the text message won’t actually connect you with a customer support team. If you call the number, your call will be answered by a cybercriminal. They will request that you provide them with your user credentials or other personal information so that they can steal your account!
Follow these tips to avoid falling victim to a smishing scam:
Be suspicious of unexpected text messages, especially if they seem urgent.
Be wary of messages from strange phone numbers you don’t recognise. If you need to contact customer support for one of your accounts or services, always use the contact information listed on their official website.
Remember that scammers often use alarming language to try to trick you into acting impulsively. Always stop and think before you click!

It is currently 84F with a high of 93F and sunny. Tomorrow is predicted to be 103F. I haven't heard of BurgerFi either. I went to Kohl's this morning and came home with nothing. They didn't have a very big selection of women's clothing. Tomorrow I may try Old Navy. I just want a couple pairs of shorts to wear around the house and out in the yard. Ed, thanks for the continuing scam alerts. Jo, I don't wear shorts, but I found a couple of pair of light cotton pants with stretchy waistband at Walmart for wearing around the house or for errands in this heat. They also had some shorts. Comfortable and inexpensive. I didn't find anything at Kohl's either. Irene, I hope you're getting to use your pool!
It's currently 75F, 24C. The sky was a pretty peach color at sunrise this a.m. Plentiful sunshine. Near record high temperatures. High 98F, 37C.🥵 Winds light and variable. I got a tick bite over the weekend, ( alcohol, hot soapy shower, antibiotic ointment with a band aid Sunday a.m. when I found it). I went to my Dr. yesterday. It looks clean, he gave me a one dose antibiotic as a prophylactic and I'll get a blood test next week. Had my last PT session for a while yesterday and a new sheet of exercises for home. Supper last night was some Indian food, I reconstituted some of the Paneer Tikka Masala and heated some ready made Coconut, chickpea and turmeric curry, and served with Basmati rice.
Breakfast this morning was two boiled eggs, some chicken tenders, and Greek yogurt with raspberry granola. Pineapple juice to drink.
Work is already in progress so back to it.

It is a hot one. Current temp is 98F. I ran an errand a little while ago and the temp in my car was 107. Vix-I hope your blood test comes back negative. Thanks,I will try Walmart for shorts. Other than work this morning I haven't done much. I have laundry to do but keep putting it off. Stay cool and hydrated.😀

Sound like we're all encountering severe heat.
Dinner last night was meatballs with roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Breakfast was chicken tenders, hardboiled eggs, and a soft breakfast bar, with orange juice to drink.
Laundry to be folded later. I did get one load washed and dried.

Dinner was pizza. Cauliflower crust for my deluxe pizza, and the usual extra cheese thin crust for Jason.
Breakfast was two Cheddar and bacon egg bites, sausage patties, and Greek yogurt with raspberry grain free granola. Orange was the juice of the day.
Still laundry to fold, but it's DIFFERENT laundry.
Work has already begun, so back to it.

It's currently overcast and a wonderful 68F, 20C! 😊 Cloudy this morning with showers during the afternoon. High 72F, 22C. Such a relief to have cooler weather, if only for a day. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%. My massage was good, as usual, and I stopped at the bank to look over some papers we keep there. Then came home and did some things around the house (in the A/C!) I am sitting right next to the open screen door, enjoying the coolness. Hope to get out later, even if it's raining. Currently 70F with a high of 76F and sunny. Irene-glad you enjoyed your day and time in the pool. I went grocery shopping this morning and am now making strawberry jam and apricot jam. I found a low sugar, small batch recipe on line. It makes two small jars. I usually bring one to a co-worker. He eats PB and J for lunch every day. I bought some coconut shrimp for dinner tonight. I found it in the ready meal section of Wegman's. Enjoy your day😀

Jo, your jam sounds yummy, 2 of my favorite flavors. Pete shops at Wegman's about once a month, it's a drive, but they have the best selection of fish, and good sushi.

We went to Centennial Park yesterday and walked around the lake, 2.4 miles. It was overcast and misty, but so nice that it was cool. Later this morning, I am going to an author event at the Westminster library. Laura Lippman will be there. I haven't read her books in a while, but enjoyed her Tess Monaghan series. We have 23 (Celsius) fair, mostly sunny degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 31 and 48% chance of PM thunderstorms. Sounds familiar! We had a bit of it last night, but mostly noise without too much rain.
I have laundry to fold, but again it is DIFFERENT laundry, even than yesterday. Third load is in the dryer, waiting for me to fold it. Whites this time.
I've been binging Murder She Wrote lately, but also watching a couple of other mystery shows.
Supper last night was chicken and rice, with peas and carrots mixed right in. I have a plate leftover for another meal. Breakfast this morning was Egg Bites, some sausage patties, a Katz apple crisp flavor toaster pastry, and pineapple juice.
I don't think I actually have anything critical on the agenda. If we do get out, I want to stop by Lowes to see if they have a replacement catch for the dryer door mechanism as the current one is getting shot and I don't have another at hand like last time it broke. I suppose I could order one online and save myself the trip. We'll see.

Ed, I'm doing laundry this a.m., and will do some cleaning. Hi Jo and Irene.
Laura Lippman is a wonderful speaker. Very warm and at ease, and quite funny. Her new book is Murder Takes a Vacation, and its of the cozy mystery genre. I put my name on the waiting list at the library (53 in line). We went out to dinner last night at Hooch and Banter in Frederick. I had a small Greek salad with shrimp. And we walked on Market St. after. There was a Pride Festival going on when we got there (I didn't see it advertised), but there were a lot of people out and about, that was nice. It's currently 75F, 24C. Some clouds and possibly an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon. Storms may contain strong gusty winds. High 88F, 31C. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 30%. Ed-Did you ever watch Midsummer Murder? Another good show is The Pitt staring Noah Wylie. It is a day of the life in the ER. There are 15 episodes in the first series. Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!
We have 28 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 31 and 84% chance of scattered thunderstorms. Yesterday's storm was well timed, with the worst of the rain happening while we were dining at our favorite Mexican restaurant. It was still sprinkling as we exited the restaurant but by the time we got home we were out of the rain. I had a grilled chicken dish that came with lots of grilled onions, refried beans and Mexican rice. It was supposed to have grilled bell peppers too but apparently they were out. It was still plenty of food and I did not feel cheated.
Breakfast this morning was a Katz brown sugar cinnamon toaster pastry, some cheese grits, some bacon, and some pineapple juice.
No laundry to fold today! It's all done. Grocery shopping is on the agenda and possibly a meet and greet at a Golden Corral restaurant. I'm sure I can find something to eat there but will have to be very careful of what, as all gravy is likely to have wheat, and potato salad is even likely to have it! Thank goodness the buffet is fairly inexpensive, and I should get a senior discount.
Irene, I keep seeing Midsummer Murder popping up on my recommended list so may check that one out. Not so sure about The Pitt, but when I have time may look into it. It's hard to keep up with too many shows at once and I'm juggling 3 right now along with watching for new season on several others!

Howdy all y'all. It's magnificent Monday!
We have 22 (Celsius) partly cloudy degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 32 and 45% chance of PM thunderstorms.
We had same rain yesterday, but again it was no inconvenience as it happened while we were indoors.
Supper was at Golden Corral. I avoided all the breads, anything in gravy, and most of the desserts but did enjoy a slice of pork roast and a small piece of steak, along with baby Lima beans, black-eyed peas, a small serving of boiled cabbage, a baked potato and a few french fries. For dessert, a small serving of fruit and some soft serve ice cream.
Breakfast was a Jimmy Dean meat lovers breakfast bowl, orange juice, and a banana.

Yesterday, we went to a Makers Fair in Columbia, it was set up mostly for kids to try different crafts, and there wasn't as much as we expected. There were some science people there too (NASA and APL), so that was nice. It was very hot out, at least there was some shade. It's currently 76F, 24C. Mixed clouds and sun this morning. Scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Storms may contain strong gusty winds. High 91F, 33C. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%. I'm going for a blood test this morning for possible Lyme disease, and then to the library. Will probably also go to Frederick with Pete, he needs to get his hearing aids fixed, and we can wander about while they do that.

It is currently 77F with a high of 87F and sunny. We are in for a hot week. Irene-enjoy the time with your family. Vix-good luck with your blood test. The fireworks have started already. I could hear them but couldn't see anything. They didn't seem to bother Sam, he was lounging on the deck when they started. My project today is to wash our deck lounge chairs. They are pretty dusty after spending the winter in the shed. We now have birds in both of our birdhouses. This is only the second time in about 5 years. We also have 2 hummingbirds that have been coming to the feeder. They are very territorial. Enjoy your day!😀

Don’t Sail with These Scammers
This week, cybercriminals are targeting travelers by using online advertisements as part of a scam, also known as “malvertising”. If you book an ocean cruise and have questions about your reservation, you probably search Google to find a customer service phone number. The top search result is a sponsored Google Ad that appears legitimate, and even contains a phone number.
If you call the number in the ad, you are connected to an “agent” who claims to have found a much cheaper deal for your trip. They offer to cancel and rebook it at the lower rate, but they will need your credit card number to secure the deal for you. However, this person doesn't work for the cruise line. The ad is fake, and the number you called connects you to a cybercriminal. They don’t actually want to help you with your travel plans, but they do want to steal your credit card number and money!
Follow these tips to avoid falling victim to a malvertising scam:
Beware of big discounts or prices that are suspiciously low. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Remember that anyone can purchase Google Ads, including cybercriminals. Just because an ad looks official doesn’t mean it’s safe to click.
Always contact cruise lines directly through their websites and official phone numbers. If you’re new at booking travel, contact a reputable travel agent for help.

I went to Frederick with Pete yesterday, and we went to Marshall's while we were waiting for his hearing aid to be fixed. I got a new summer purse, I actually bought 2; one is fabric in a cute purple print, the other is a small light sage color, more dressy. Funny thing is, when I got them home, I saw a Disney tag on the fabric purse. I thought it was a flower pattern, turned out to be Beauty and the Beast! 😂😂😂 I'm off to craft day today.
