Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have 23 (Celsius) mostly cloudy degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 30 and 61% chance of those pesky PM thunderstorms. Actually they have generally been not too bad, if they happen at all, and haven't really inconvenienced us.

My dinner last night was sirloin steak braised in a creamy mushroom sauce that I made with a little red wine. I served with some yellow rice, and had a glass of the red wine with dinner.

Breakfast was another Jimmy Dean meat lovers breakfast bowl, a strawberry toaster pastry, and some pineapple juice.

I see by the clock that work beckons.

    Good afternoon;

Currently 88F with a mixture of sun and clouds with wind gusts of 25 mph. Vix-Are you going to keep the purse? It is pretty. I use an Athletica body bag purse. It holds my keys and wallet, has a pocket for my phone and a little extra room for whatever. I found I really didn't need all the stuff I use to carry and it is a lot easier on my shoulder. Ed-thanks for the scam info. I can get seasick standing on a floating dock watching the water, so no cruise for me.🀒 Today I am doing laundry and dusting and vacuuming. Have a good day and stay cool.😎

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 23 (Celsius) cloudy degrees with an expected sunny high of 32 and 5% chance of precipitation. Sounds hot, but otherwise possibly pleasant.

Dinner last night was taco salad. I made some honey mustard dressing and re-fried black beans. The base was the re-fried beans, encircled by bite size round tortilla chips, then shredded iceberg lettuce, a sprinkle of shredded Mexican blend cheese, the honey mustard dressing, a big blob of store bought restaurant style extra chunky, medium hot guacamole in the center, and a ring of medium hot salsa around the guacamole.

Breakfast was the last of the gluten free corndogs. They weren't the greatest, but did satisfy any urge I had for corndogs this summer. If I see them again, I may buy them again.

    Work beckons.

    good morning

Ed, Pete made BBQ ribs last night. It was yummy. Jo, I am keeping the purse, it's cute. It's very light weight, and has room to spare. I carry my wallet, keys, phone, extra glasses, a mask, and a sandwich size bag with a few emergency items in it. So much easier on my shoulder! Irene, lots of hot weather for enjoying your pool. 😊

    We had thunderstorms yesterday evening, had to reset the clocks this a.m. It's currently 72F, 22C. Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. High 87F, 31C. Winds light and variable. I cut out glass for 2 sun catchers yesterday, and I was alone at clay group after the first half hour. I put together a cup and a bowl, and then worked on blending down some used clay to be used again. We have lilies, roses, balloon flowers, daisies, a giant sunflower, dahlias, and whatever blooming. It's beautiful! My Lyme test came back negative, whew. I have an acupuncture appt today and need to pick up a book at the library. I'll see what else the day brings. Wishing all a happy πŸͺ day.     Good morning;

It is currently 79F and cloudy. It was raining when I went to work this morning. Vix-I am glad your Lyme test was negative. My balloon flowers haven't bloomed yet, but the day lilies, geraniums and lavender look great. Hi Ed and Irene. We had a thunder showers right before the fireworks started last night. I could see the fireworks through the trees in my backyard. I watched a few and then went inside. It was very muggy out. Does anyone have plans for the 4th? Enjoy your day!πŸ˜€

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have 22 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 33 and 13% chance of precipitation.

Sounds a bit hot, but not too unpleasant.

We had a power outage during the night, after I had gone to bed. Based on the flashing microwave clock it happened about 11:30 and based on the flashing stove clock lasted a bit less than 40 minutes.

It's a short work week and today is the last day of it! There's a pool party planned for tomorrow, the 4th, and we'll probably go. I'll try to make my baked beans for it.

Supper last night was my easy, cheesy fiesta hash brown casserole with minced onion, jalapeΓ±os, and bell peppers, and plenty of cheese, along with a dab of plain Greek yogurt.

Breakfast was gluten free waffles with real maple syrup, and some sausage links.

Work has already begun and just finished rebooting the work laptop after yesterday's updates.

    good morning

Jo, the flowers are so nice this time of year. We have blue and white balloon flowers. Those are new since last year, I really like them. Our town sets off fireworks tonight. They seem to like July 3. It's very muggy here too. No plans for the 4th, anyone else? Hi Ed and Irene.

It's currently 73F,23C. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 89F, 32C. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. I picked up 2 more books at the library. I'm falling behind! I have 4 books at home. Yesterday afternoon, we went to our town's Farmer's Market. They are in the park every Wednesday afternoon in the summer. There was a variety of things there, not a lot of produce (we picked up some tomatoes). They had a couple of distilleries (sampled some peanut butter whiskey-it was good!), specialty oil and vinegar, crafty items, herbal remedies, pickles, several people with baked goods, someone with snakes, a turtle and some strange creature from Thailand that looked like a cross between a snake and a lizard, and someone with little goats, chickens, and paintings. Interesting! It's another hot one today, and no special plans. Will see what the day brings. Wishing all a fine Thursday. Stay cool. πŸŒžπŸŒ»πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ˜Ž

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

    Happy 4th!

We have 28 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 34 and 15% chance of precipitation.

Baked beans are in the oven for the pool party later.

Supper last night was pizza from Pizza Hut. Breakfast was Greek yogurt with grain free granola, and three chicken tenders, orange juice to drink.

    Gotta feed the cats!

    Good morning

Jo, it was about a thimble of whiskey, but yes, it tasted a little sweet and peanutty. Irene, glad you had a great visit. I'm enjoying my new purse, very close to perfect! Hi Ed, hope all is well.

I didn't do much yesterday, ran some errands. It's currently 74F, 23C Abundant sunshine. High around 85F, 29C. Winds light and variable. We'll get out today. I've been looking for things to do nearby. There are a lot of wineries and breweries! Most of them have music and food trucks on the weekends, and some have special events, like crafts fairs, etc. I found one pub that has a comedy night. We'll probably go to Frederick today, there's a natural food co-op grocery store there where I pick up a few specialty items, they have a bulk section for grains, nuts, etc., and you can grind your own organic coffee. Wishing all an easy Friday, and Happy Independence Day!

    Good morning;

It sounds like everyone had a good 4th. We had a quiet day. I made a greek pasta salad and we grilled sausages on the grill. My daughter made chocolate chip cookies. We went for a walk around the neighborhood, boy was it hot. Ed-I hope you enjoyed the pool party. Vix-Did you go to the comedy night? Irene-I am glad you had a good visit with family. Do you take Sammie with you? Does she like riding in the car? Today we are going to pick, raspberries, strawberries and maybe blueberries depending on how they look. Have a great day!πŸ˜€

    good morning

Ed, a pool party, how fun! Irene, great weather to enjoy the pool. Jo, the comedy night is in a few weeks. I should probably get tickets ahead of time. Sounds like you had a nice day. Have fun picking berries!

It's 70F,21C. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 88F,31C. Winds light and variable. We ended up going to Frederick yesterday. We didn't go to the co-op. They had an event in the park, getting ready for the fireworks last night. There was a band from Philadelphia called "my cousin's sister's boyfriend", that was pretty good, and another band on the other side of the area playing mellow guitar songs. There was a plethora of food trucks and stands, some rides and giant bouncy houses and blow up slides for children, and lots of people had put up sun tents and were there with whole families, very festive! We watched the fireworks from our driveway on Thursday night, and last night heard some in the neighborhood. Not sure what I'm in the mood for today, will see what the day brings. Wishing all a fun weekend! πŸŒžπŸŒ»πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ˜Ž

Howdy all y'all. It's sensational Saturday!

We have 28 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected sunny high of 33 and 2% chance of precipitation.

The pool party was good. About 60 people showed up for burgers, kosher hot dogs, chips, dips, fruit, several side dishes and desserts.

I had no buns with my meat, as I had decided not to bring my own gluten free bun, but I had plenty of carbs in the chips and dessert. Yes, I had dessert! One of my old friends brought home-made gluten free peanut butter cookies. His ex had to eat gluten free so he learned to make them, and just kept making them even after separation because they were so easy and tasty. He just happened to hear me lamenting the usual array of gluten filled desserts and had just happened to have brought a plate of those cookies!

My pan of beans was demolished. I heard at least two people say that they were the best baked beans they had ever tasted, and they didn't know who had made the beans. I still took that with a grain of salt, as everything tastes better at a cookout, even if you are actually eating in the relative cool of the downstairs.

I did get in the pool briefly. After the party Jason and I and the friend we had picked up on the way (he doesn't drive) went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for a semi-late supper. I had the huevos rancheros as I wanted something fairly light. I couldn't find them on the revamped menu, but when I asked if they still made that the waitress didn't even blink but wrote that down for my order. It was nice.

Breakfast this morning was maple brown sugar oatmeal with sausage links on the side and orange juice to drink. Also a very ripe banana for fruit.

I may get grocery shopping done today because it feels like Sunday and we are planning a spa outing tomorrow.

Ed, sounds like a good time was had by all. Peanut butter cookies, yum.

It's currently 67F, 19C. Sunny skies during the morning giving way to clouds and a few showers late. High 91F, 33C. πŸ₯΅ Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%. Yesterday, we went to a local winery where they were supposed to have live music from 1-4p.m.. The musician was there, but not playing, so we had a glass of wine, and then went to Frederick for our favorite walk along the creek. I have the screened door open next to me while it's still nice out. Will see what the day brings. Wishing all a peaceful Sunday. Stay cool.πŸŒžπŸŒ»πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ˜Ž

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

We have 26 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 34 and 2% chance of precipitation.

I got the shopping done yesterday and tried to rest up for the remainder of the day, as much as possible. Those parties are nice but drain my social battery.

Supper last night was salad. I made the thousand islands style salad dressing. Chopped hard boiled eggs were the protein, two eggs in each salad. No meat, though I could have made some bacon to crumble into mine. I chose not to. We both felt we had enough salad to eat, as we split a whole bag of salad mix between us. There were gluten free croutons and potato sticks for crunch, and a light sprinkle of shredded Mexican style cheese on each salad as well.

Breakfast this morning was a bowl of Nature's Path gluten free Mesa Sunrise cereal with whole milk. Flakes of corn and other things, but mostly taste like corn flakes, but quite a bit heavier in weight and texture. This was my first time trying any gluten free cereal other than granola or Cheerios. Most of the gluten free cereals seem to be aimed at kids with fruit loopy rings or other overly sweetened ideas, but this one looked like it would taste like corn flakes and did not disappoint. I liked them a lot. Pineapple juice to drink and bacon on the side.

We're planning a visit to a Korean spa this afternoon.

It's 75F,24C, and very humid. Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 88F, 31C. Winds light and variable. We have a sunflower that has grown up to the garage roof! There are 3 flowers on top. Our housecleaner is coming today, and I have some errands to run. Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!

We have 23 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 35 and 22% chance of precipitation.

We did the Korean spa yesterday. It was nice. Afterward, dinner was at Cheeseburger Bobby's where I had a bun-less single cheeseburger, fries, and tea.

Breakfast this morning was maple brown sugar oatmeal, sausage patties, hard boiled eggs, and orange juice to drink.

Eating gluten free has made a big difference. I just wish I had figured it out sooner. It did take a while for the damage already done to heal up, and of course there is still the occasional hidden gluten that manages to find its way into me, but I'm glad I made the change.

We have 24 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 34 and 54% chance of PM thunderstorms, predicted to start as early as 1:00 in the afternoon.

For supper last night I assembled pizza from SchΓ€r ready-made gluten free pizza crusts, Kroger brand spicy red pepper pizza sauce, and Kroger brand white, Italian blend shredded cheese. My pizza also had turkey sausage crumbles and pepperoni, while Jason's had extra cheese.

My breakfast was leftover pizza and a bowl of cold cereal.

I need to get some laundry going soon. Maybe today.

We have 24 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 34 and 57% chance of PM thunderstorms. There were none yesterday so I guess they either blew over or someone else in the area experienced them.

Supper last night was nachos. I made the cheese sauce and the re-fried beans. There was no meat, because we shared. The Guacamole was store bought, as was the salsa.

Breakfast this morning was the last of the leftover pizza from the other night, along with same bacon, and some Greek yogurt with granola topping.

I rebooted my home desktop computer this morning because of updates and my work laptop is installing them now. I haven't checked my personal Macbook yet to see if it has any updates.

    good morning

Ed, I shut down my computer every night, so it usually notifies me when there are updates and I just get them done as they come in. There's also a series that is a prequel to Midsomer Murders, I can't remember the name of it. Jo, doesn't seem like much difference in the weather here to there. Hope you got a chance to relax. Irene, hope all is well.

We had thunderstorms last night. It's currently 72F, 22C. Overcast. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High near 85F, 29C. A bit cooler than yesterday. Winds light and variable. I finished reading "The Life Impossible" by Matt Haig last night and started "We all Live Here"by Jojo Moyes. I've emptied the dishwasher and put in a load of laundry this a.m. I have my regularly scheduled massage this morning, Yay! and will see what else the day brings. We have 23 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 30 and 55% chance of scattered thunderstorms. Last night, once again, we had rumbles but nothing came of it.

I need to get some laundry started today.

Supper last night was chili, with Frito's scoops for dipping or crumbling. There was also cheese for stirring in. Breakfast was toast with home made sausage gravy (using gluten free flour) and scrambled eggs. Pineapple was the juice of the day.

Work has already begun. Left a process running all night and I'm making notes about what did and didn't seem to work, for our morning meeting in a while.

    Good afternoon,

Ed-Midsomer Murders is in its 23 season, that should give you something to watch for a while. It is currently 69F and raining. We had flash flood warnings this morning. My sneakers, socks and the bottom of my pants got soaked walking across the parking lot at work. The drains couldn't keep up with the amount of rain coming down. It was no fun working in wet sneakers and socks. Enjoy your day and stay dry.β˜”οΈπŸŒ§οΈ

    good morning

Ed, sounds like work is keeping you busy. We've been having lots of rain and t-storms, keeps things green. Jo, wet shoes and socks are so uncomfortable, bet you were happy to get home. We get flood warnings a lot, but it doesn't usually flood in our immediate area. We have 2 drains in the back corners of our yard that go to the sewer, and our house is up on a little bit of an incline. One side of our yard always gets soaked through, and the ground gets mushy. We've tried planting things to soak up the water, but it isn't that effective.

It's 70F, 21C. A mix of clouds and sun. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High around 90F, 32C. Winds light and variable. This is like a tropical climate, very hot and humid with rain in the p.m. I enjoyed my massage yesterday, but I was so exhausted I didn't do anything the rest of the day. I hope I have a little more energy today. Wishing all an easy Friday. β›…πŸŒ‚πŸŒ»πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ˜Ž Stay cool!
