Good morning;
It is currently 67F with a high of 71F.Vix-The fiber festival was ok. It was raining, so they crammed everyone into a vacant retail space. They were only letting a few people in at a time. We got there early and we able to walk right in. A lot of the venders didn't come because of the rain. We will try again next year. Hi Ed and Irene. Have a great day!

My work computer is downloading updates right now. Not sure how long that will take. When I got up, I found it in a frozen state and had to power it off completely, and start it back up. It is set up to only do updates when I request, rather than automatically. I check for updates on Wednesday mornings.
My home computer had completed downloading and just needed a reboot to finish the installations.
Dinner yesterday was taco salad. I made the honey mustard dressing and the re-fried beans for the taco salads. Breakfast was a meat lovers breakfast bowl, from the freezer, and some gluten free power waffles with maple syrup.
My tea mug is almost empty so back to the kitchen for more!

Jo, I am curious about the fiber festival, is it food fiber or material fiber? Sorry it was minimized. Ed, funny, I had a Baja salad when we went out with friends last night. It included some quinoa, very thin taco strips, some black bean salsa, avocado, very good, filling and crunchy. π Irene, hope all is well, how's the PT going?

Breakfast was a bowl of Cheerios and some bacon.
I'm still enjoying my murder mysteries on Tubi.

Ed, the nachos sound good. We had simple grilled chicken, some veggies on the side. Hi Jo and Irene.
It's 64F,18C. Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. High 81F, 27C. Winds light and variable. I got my Covid shot yesterday, easy peasy, just a tiny bit warm where I got the shot. Will get the flu shot when we're back from vacation, and can also use updated pneumonia shot. Had a landscaper come check our yard today. Too many plants and trees, need beds edged, etc, lots of work needed. He will send us an estimate. We're ready for sticker shock. Will see what else the day brings. Irene, I hope your PT went well. Ed, sounds like you're really cutting back. Jo, wow, 3 sheds! That's kind of great. We don't have any at this house, so all the yard equipment is in the garage cozying up to our cars. Other stuff is stored in the basement.

The pool party yesterday was great. All of my baked bean were eaten up. After the food was mostly eaten, I cleaned up a lot in the food room and went up to lounge in the shade, near the pool. It was very nice to be able to sit and enjoy the breeze.
The only gluten free dessert was some Beaver Nuggets from Buc-ee's. I ate a few pieces.
Otherwise I ate a cheeseburger and hot dogs, all bun-less, some potato salad, some of my baked beans, a few potato chips, shrimp cocktail, and a few boiled peanuts.
We had a late dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant, where the owner is a friend. She assured me that the house fried rice was made with gluten free soy sauce so I ordered that for my meal, with pork as the meat, and have plenty left over for two or three more meals.
Breakfast was a meat lovers breakfast bowl and a couple of gluten free waffles, no syrup.
We picked up a few groceries at the Kroger a few doors down from the restaurant, in the same strip, but they were out of some things I needed and I couldn't find others before we decided to call it a night and come on home, getting home right at 10:00. I'll get the rest of the groceries at my usual Kroger today, along with a stop at PetSmart and maybe Walgreens.

Good afternoon;
It is currently 76 and partly sunny. Ed-sounds like you had a good time at the pool party. Vix-enjoy your vacation. Irene-I hope you are not to sore from your PT. My daughter and I went apple picking yesterday. We also got some cider and apple donuts. After that we went out to lunch at a Mexican restaurant. We got combo platters that came with rice and refried beans. It was very good and I had enough leftover for dinner last night and lunch today. Today is a lazy day, not doing much of anything. Dinner last night was from Pizza Hut. My 10 inch gluten free crust had toppings of chicken sausage and beef. It was good.
Breakfast was some brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal with bacon on the side and orange juice to drink.

It is 74F and sunny with a nice breeze. Today I put down some grass seed in a few bare spots in the front yard, made a trip to Kohls for new work pants and did a few other errands while I was out. I have started to knit a baby blanket for Sam. He likes to lie on my afghan, so I thought I would make him one of his own. Enjoy your afternoon and evening.π

It is currently 64F and cloudy. We had thunder showers overnight. The leaves have started falling off my maple tree in the backyard. Sam stayed out all night and isn't back yet. I hope he found a dry place last night. I don't worry too much when he doesn't come home, since he was a stray and used to being outside. Hi Irene and Ed. Vix-hope you are having a great vacation. It is currently 71F and sunny with a high of 79F. My neighbor's got solar panels on their house yesterday. For the amount of workers that were there, it was a relatively quiet job. I may have to work today. Already got a few extra hours in this week but we're on a tight deadline to get something usable ready for a trial run. So I'm on standby this weekend.
I did slip out for about an hour yesterday to get my emissions inspection, stopping by the tag office to get my new date sticker and registration, then a quick stop in our neighborhood Aldi, just two doors down from the tag office, to pick up something for lunch. I went about 10:00 to avoid the lunch crowds and really did get back home about an hour after I left. Still had more than 8 work hours for the day as a whole as I had to get some terminal set up to share a single central data point and worked an hour and a half over my usual time to get that done.
