Oh I'm baaack! I had a great 4 days, listened to my body, so my son and I did short rides before the day. On the day of the TdC Cancer Ride, after talking to my son, I did the family route of 8 miles, no one was told about going in and out of some canyons and part of a BMX track but I did FINISH! (sore back/neck and head) and my son did the 50 in about 3 hours (he was just sore all over). Today after driving 200 miles home, I jumped on the bike and did a recovery spin. So I have a few days of data to report as my son's internet was shut off.

    07/08 - 9.0 miles cycling (TdF Challenge Stage 5)
    07/09 - 4.0 miles cycling (TdF Challenge Stage 6)
    07/10 - 5.0 miles cycling (TdF Challenge Stage 7)
07/11 - 8.0 miles cycling (TdF Challenge Stage 8) (Tour des Chutes Cancer Ride)
07/12 - 8.0 miles cycling (TdF Challenge Stage 9 TTT)

    Total: 101.0 miles

@Janet: Thanks for good thoughts. The PT is doing stim, massage, and I am on some exercises to stretch and strengthen. I did have a good 7.75 mile run on Sat. with minimal discomfort although I was sore as all get out after my session. I will take it easy this week with some shake out runs and go to two more sessions this week. My PT feels this will be relieved with some work on both our part. Hoping all holds together for my half this Sunday. Then it will be no big events till September and I can work on healing and just getting some mileage in and working on improving my speed after a year of knee recovery.
@hkristine1: Your foster daughter sounds so delightful. And you can read your joy in your writing. I am hoping that the honeymoon lasts a long time. Glad you are enjoying your time with her. I think age three is such a magical age.

    07/11 - 1.90m walking
07/12 - 9.80m on my bike - my 1st real bike ride post-op. An easy little ride around town, just to make sure I hadn't forgotten how to ride my bike, and more importantly, unclip in time!

    MTD 19.2

Adding a 2 mile doggie walk from the other night. We were camping all week and returned yesterday, so today the kids and I went to the gym's pool. My knee and ankle are still on rest so I did some laps while the kids played. So no more miles, but got some cardio in! I may do some stationary bike tomorrow if my knee/ankle allow it. Have a great week everyone :)

    1st: 5.44
    2nd: 3.97
    3rd: 2.41
    4th: 4.55 + 5 = 9.55
    5th: 6.54 + 12.9 = 19.44
    6th: 4.62
    7th: 5.85
    8th: 1.69
    9th: 1.97
    10th: 3.59 + 6.3 = 9.89

    12th: 7.8 + 4.8 = 12.6 - Total: 89.64

@sufferlandrian - Thanks for the explanation on the cell towers. I figure that if I lived there, then I would get the update for the towers but as I don't, Tmobile was hoping I would up my data plan for roaming. I didn't, I just went to airplane mode for most of the time. And Yellowstone was expected to be a no-man's land for cell towers. That was the day I lost my MFP streak but that's okay. A day in Yellowstone is worth losing a 'streak' on a website.

Glad to hear that all our folks with issues are on the mend and working through the issues. A toast to everyone's continued recovery and active summer.

Got my 2.1 mile lunch walk in and was a wet, sweaty mess when I got back! lol

I'll update the spreadsheet here in a little bit and I still need to get caught up on all the new posts over the weekend. I was semi-unplugged this weekend. I got a nice parade walk in on Saturday morning walking, marching and running flags back and forth for the Color Guard that performs along with my son's Marching Band. It was a blast! Pretty warm and sweaty too, but great exercise! Then got a good interval run in on the treadmill last nigth....I'm trying to up the intensity, but dang, it's slow-going...every little increase still feels like I'm adding mountains. lol I need to get some more of this weight off...that's probably the real underlying problem... :grimace:
