@CALIECAT...thanks, Marie... we are 2 hours from Mrytle Beach and Charleston...basically in the center of the state. We have the water, batteries, and are ready to hunker down!

Good afternoon,
Looks like Matthew is going to reek havoc in Florida and the east coast. During hurricane season I am happy that I
don't live on the coast although I love the water.
Not much going on at our house today. Did my exercise this morning, have had lunch and will get out later this afternoon.

Well gang. I made it through Canada today. Took me a day and a half of driving and a 6 hour ferry ride. LOVED THE DRIVE!!!!!! Just me and my tunes cranked up singing along. Staying on a friends couch tonight and camping with another friend tomorrow. Went shopping today. Usually I would be in so much pain right now after shopping but I'm doing great!!!!! And the knee did awesome during the drive. I would stop at rest stops and stretch it out. And it will bend up to touch the front of the seat now too. I'm putting the new knee to the test.

my primary doctor is sending me to a wound specialist I think it is about time. She said she could not give me anymore antibiotic Patsy I have a pin hole opening that hurt with my shpes on.And not healing. i sure hope this works for me. I been wearing the none slip socks around te house. Heck I may grow Accustomed to them I think I have already

Marie..glad the doc is finally sending you where you need to go! I agree with you that it should have been sooner.
Gym day for me...hurricane wind and rain not coming until tonight so I am glad to get my exercise on. Down a pound this morning and I am taking it.

I just finished making stuffed shells for our Thanksgiving Day dinner on Sunday and I will bake the pumpkin spice cake tomorrow.
Marie I am happy you will a specialist so you can get on with walking with shoes again. Good luck and when is your apt. ?

Marie-I am glad they are sending you to a wound specialist, hopefully they get it healing for you.
Esther-You sure are busy with your new knee, glad you feel better than you have in a long time. Have fun.
Shirley-I bet your getting excited about your New York trip. Are you seeing any shows? I am not ready to think about Thanksgiving, not sure what we'really doing this year. Last year I cooked, but the past few years we went to my husband's family for dinner.

Janice I know Thanksgiving here creeps up fast and I seem to be doing the cooking mostly. One year we actually ordered Chinese food, a surprise by some but I was happy not to have a mess to clean up.
Connie Happy to hear all is well in your neighborhood and you are safe.
My daughter Kristina is here today and we went for a nice long walk together. Good to talk because I don't see her that often, she is almost 2 hours away from us and doesn't have a car. She usually rents a car but this time she got the Go Train all the way to Niagara Falls so we picked her up there.
I finished frosting the cake today so we just have to buy some fresh bread and make a salad tomorrow.
Tonight we are ordering a vegetable pizza for dinner tonight.

Hi guys!!!!! I am home again now. What a great trip. After the shopping trip I went camping for a night with one of my best friends. I was able to do things I have t ever been able to do at his camp. He has a chair less camp. Usually I have to stand and chat but this time I was able to sit around the fire on the ground and visit. I was also able to get off the air mattress on the ground. I haven't been able to do that for almost 20 years. I went walking on the beaches too while I was camping. One was nice soft squishy sand and the other was wet sucky mucky sand that would try to pull my shoes off with every step. It also had green algae covered round pebbles all over. I did awesome walking on the mm. I had to climb down a spiral staircase to get to the beach. Here are a couple pics of where I was.

I just hope my wound care is as greats for me. I go Wednesday. .
Alice and I went out for lunch yesterday. I had fried shrimpd olong with french friesand gain 1 .5 lbs this morning Wont do that anymore but It was worth it SO GOOD But enough of a good tins is enough

No worries, Marie....it is water weight from the sodium. I ate out yesterday, too, and had a few bites of a fried blooming onion, ribeye, and brocoli. I am up today as well. I am drinking lots of water to flush it.0 -
Our Thanksgiving was a success and everyone enjoyed our meal together.
Today packing for our train trip to New York City. We will be picked up at 6:30am so we don't have any problems at the border.
I will be posting pictures on Facebook. See you ladies when I get back.
