Friday - how did I miss my Friday posting? Friday was one of those miracle days where it all just came together...I had lunch out and dinner out and I still managed to hit my new lower calorie goal - PLUS - I did my workout before getting ready for dinner, so walking done, and Dynamix done and food on point - and it wasn't even hard, took a bit of planning, but mostly effortless...I need more days like this and I'll trim up easy!!!
Saturday - Good day but not perfect, up early to workout Eccentic Upper (only did half, my carpal tunnel was killing me) and taxi the girl to ballet...did my costco shopping and picked up easter dresses for the granddaughters so cute!!! One is navy & white, the other is navy & pink & white so they aren't identical, but they are complimentary so they won't clash with each other in photos and such...treated myself to a latte at starbucks...drove the child home to clean and then off to her ice skating party and took myself to D&D. Game was fun, and I think I managed to log everything I put in my mouth, which put me about 400 over in calories, but it's been a long time since I logged a D&D day at all, so I'm going to call it a win for keeping track of what I ate and not going crazy even if I was a bit off target.0 -
Sunday was solid. Food was pretty on plan, there was some minor snacking that I didn't log since we hung out with my folks prior to the super bowl for a bit...reupholstered the dining room chairs for them...did my workout (accelerator) and did book club...it was cool!!!0
-
Monday was a bit over on food, but walking and yoga done...probably going to spend some time working on the ivy costume...other than that, a pretty calm day!0
-
Tuesday - calories in line, walking and agility done...protein was barely where it needed to be and carbs were over...mostly because of peas...I think I would have been ok with the peanut butter pretzels if I hadn't also had peas...but, whatever, it was what was available in the refrigerator and still better than eating from the cafeteria...0
-
Peas are always better than cafeteria food! How is P90X3? I did P90X when I was a teenager and I remember liking everything but the yoga. Their version was a sure way to get an injury.0
-
I'm enjoying P90X3, I've done it before, so it's not a brand new routine for me...I think this is the first time I've done the "lean" schedule, but I don't think any of the individual workouts are new, just different timing...so far I haven't missed any workouts...and the scale says I'm up a pound this week, but my hip bones are starting to be visible, so that scale can get rekd!!!1
-
Wednesday...some walking and ab ripper done...went to lunch with friends, so less walking than usual...I can feel it in the stress level too, my walks keep me sane...food was so over...I was so hungry in the evening, but I did load up on eggs and sausage, so no junk and at least I did finally hit my protein goal and I didn't go over in carbs...and I did eat at maintenance, though to be fair, I found that out AFTER the fact...at the time I just ate a giant bowl of food and then when I went back and keyed it in I discovered to my pleasant surprise that it was at maintenance and not over.0
-
Thursday...walking - lots of awesome walking, I do enjoy my 5K at lunch, plus I got to catch lots of Pokemon and hatch two...plus Triometrics...dinner was so delicious...plus, got some more ivy leaves sewn on...the back lace part is almost done, but the body is going to need like a million more leaves...and I need to get fabric paint to do the leggings...in any case, food was a little over, but it was protein/fat over not carbs, and it was really close, so I'm good with it.0
-
I wish I could walk that much at lunch! Even if you went over yesterday, you've probably been under other days anyway0
-
What a weekend.
Friday - did well on food, but didn't workout...my husband had a friend over when I got home and I just wasn't comfortable working out with him there...I was not even remotely feeling social, and it was kind of annoying to have someone visiting with no prior notice, but whatever.
Saturday - helped a friend pack...didn't track food and didn't workout...had some pizza for lunch and cooked some sausage/eggs for dinner since no one else seems capable of cooking in my home. It was an exhausting day of 9 hours of manual labor but I did have some whiskey and seltzer water to round of the evening so it wasn't all bad.
Sunday - helped a friend pack...kind of a ditto of the first day except we had sandwiches for lunch and I cooked myself mac & cheese for dinner...total comfort food...another 9 hours and we finished one room and barely started on a second - there is so much stuff still to do.
My carpal tunnel is killing me and I'm sore pretty much everywhere...but just muscle sore, not injured sore, so that's good. I missed strength training on Saturday and my strength workouts are just at maintenance this month, so I may go ahead and do that workout tonight...or maybe I'll just do pilates and figure 18 hours of lifting, boxing, and cleaning is probably enough of a strength workout.
4 trips to the dump in a 6 ft truck bed with campershell - packed full top to bottom
3 trips to goodwill with cars and a truck
I don't know how one person feels compelled to keep so much stuff, but even just the boxes already packed and selected for storage take up half of a room stacked floor to ceiling and it's barely scratching the surface of the packing. I hope the storage shed all this stuff is going to is enormous because that's what's necessary.0 -
Wow. You definitely got a strength workout in! I thought I had a lot of stuff when I moved, but I only had one small U-Haul. I guess it wasn't so bad!
I hope your carpal tunnel gets better with a break from packing. Enjoy your Monday!0 -
Monday was interesting. I was super hungry and super sleepy all day long. Likely the result of not eating enough and being so active over the weekend. So, I ate as much as I wanted. I ended up about 500 cal over maintenance, but I'm cool with that...most of it was good food...I did have a bit of leftover mac & cheese plus some pb pretzels for a snack, but everything else was solid nutrition. I also didn't work out since I laid down and rested instead...I did get my lunch 5K in at lunch and some walking on other breaks...I'm just going to call this one a recovery day and let it go.0
-
Tuesday was just as bad...still sleepy...still hungry...still 500 cal over maintenance, and I didn't even do my workout - AGAIN...and in some ways it was worse because I got into the chocolate TWICE and so it's not just the lack of food and high energy expenditure from the weekend, it's also definitely PMS week coming into play...and I felt so sick after all the chocolate after dinner...ick...and I fee bloated and fat and gross and this has got to stop.
So, today I got up and did my morning combat. I packed a chicken breast with the leftover caesar salad. I normally eat around 1, but today I will not eat until at least 2:30 and that should mean I can skip afternoon snack. Ab Ripper is on the schedule and it's only 15 min, so surely I can manage a short workout. Dinner is planned and should be quite filling. There will be no snacking after dinner. There will be absolutely no chocolate today.0 -

I love that last gif0

I hope the day turned out the way you wanted! PMS can be a real *kitten*.0

Wednesday was amazing...it was super hard, but I stuck to it - mostly
Combat and walking done...didn't do abs, but I did get up early today and do abs.
Food was on point, the only macro I was over on was protein, and I'm totally cool with that...I did end up having a snack, eating a late lunch didn't really help because I was still insanely hungry when I got home...however, I was good and didn't get a second snack after ballet...and I ate my dinner, which was super delicious...and I didn't get any chocolate after dinner, so yay me!!!
Definitely a better path in the making!1 -
Thursday...Valentine's day!!!!
I was not good on food or workouts.
I got a card and hand soap in the morning.
We met for lunch and I got flowers plus lunch was super delicious with calamari and seared ahi and goat cheese dip and spinach artichoke dip...and steak and crab portabello and green beans and potatoes (only a bite) and salad and asparagus...and bread pudding with ice cream for dessert...and 2 strawberry champagne drinks...it was a super good lunch.
Then I picked up sushi for dinner, and did I stick to the plain tuna and salmon which would have left me within calories and carbs for the day...of course not...I had a bit of everything...plus some cookies...FOUR...FOUR COOKIES...I do love me some chocolate chunk cookies and Wegman's has an excellent bakery.
There was no snacking, but there was plenty of eating.
So, I ended the day with only 30 min of walking...and not even walking fast, just walking with a friend...about 300 g over in carbs...about 700 over in calories...though, that's over my low day value, so that's only about 100 over maintenance...that's not so bad...I am up a pound and a half this morning from the water weight of extra carbs...but that will come back off.
Friday needs a real plan - I do better with a real plan. Lunch is out with a friend, no idea where we will go, but I will try to stick to carnivore and definitely will stick to low carb. Dinner is going to be Publix sushi on the way to helping my friend pack...we should get a solid 3 hours of packing done tonight, so I'm not even going to fret the rice since it will get burned off in the physical activity...plus, publix doesn't usually have plain sashimi the way Wegman's does, so when going for grocery sushi, you get what you get. No snacking.1 -
Sounds like your Valentine's Day was great! I definitely went overboard with eating too. My reaction was to do yoga Friday morning, then climb last night, a post-climb workout, and more climbing this morning! I am sore and now I just want more chocolate 😭0
-
Friday...lunch was cool...then I had a good snack...then there wasn't any sushi that I liked at publix...so, I had some chicken nuggets from McDonalds because I was super hungry...but lots of packing was accomplished and I was exhausted and slept well after...so, all in all it was an ok day.0
-
Saturday was good, had a chicken club at burger king for lunch and dinner was just some eggs...no real working out, but lots of deep cleaning and sorting and general activity...it's nice that the house looks better!
Sunday was good, lots of good food and wine and did eccentric lower in the morning.
Monday was not great...felt sick most of the day, ended up leaving work early and going home and sleeping...so no working out but also not much eating either...some ramen and some lunchmeat.0 -
I hope you feel better soon!0
-
Thanks! So far this morning is not sick, but not quite right either...I brought lunchmeat for lunch since that worked ok yesterday.0
-
Oh no I'm so sorry you haven't been feeling well! Hopefully tomorrow it's totally better. Rooting for you!0
-
I am already super bored of P90X3 lean...maybe I'll switch it up for BBL instead???0
-
I have decided to finish out the month with BBL, and to do just half of the Arnold Smash routine for next month (so each workout once per week instead of twice) and also mix that with BBL...the thighs are getting kind of flubbery...I did lose a few pounds, so I think I probably just need to get back to building the heck out of my leg muscles...my Awesome *kitten* routine was good for that, but I just got so bored of it...BBL is pretty effective too, and it's different...plus, the Arnold routine, is 80-90 min a day, and it's very difficult to fit into real life 6 days a week while BBL is 35-40 min and much easier to manage...this will hopefully be the best of both worlds.
