Must be lunch time because I smell and hear the popcorn that my colleague just popped. That's all she has for lunch, sometimes also a tray of ice cubes (craving caused by her anemia). She is overweight and is unhappy with her weight but refused to bring stuff healthy for her.0

I use HWC in my coffee in the AM and am usually fine well into the afternoon. I should try the Ketoaide in the afternoon and see if I could make it until dinner. I love the idea of a BIG dinner
I'm not eating anything past 9pm and have my BPC made anytime between 6 and 7am depending on my work schedule. I'm slowly drinking that for an hour or two! Then I'm usually good to go until about 6pm! I'll then eat a full dinner at 6 and enjoy a snack between 8 and 9.
I've got to sit do wn and really dig into the how to's and such for fasting. I never thought that it would be something I'd be interested in doing but this week has shown me I can.2 -
Update: I just received word that I did not get the position I applied for.
I am trying to remain positive as I don't want my anxiety attack to return.
Well...time to pick myself up and move on!1 -

Happy Hump Day!
Wednesday is here. Halfway mark for the week and the craziness is upon me at work. I've been doing great this week with positive thinking and not letting the stress get to me but today and tomorrow are the crazy days. Lots more kiddos, and more things to get done. Thankfully they did hire on two more staff so things have been a bit easier this week so far. I even got out really early yesterday!
I managed an extra walk after work since I was home so early. It's was really nice to go out by myself and get some alone time. That is a rarity for sure! Part of me wishes I could join the ymca so I could get exercise when I wanted and have my youngest go to the child care. I guess I could look into it but it's hard to justify with it being out of the way from my house and even further past where I work.
Maybe I will look into it. It can't hurt to inquire.

Yes, hump day... So I am back to work this week after taking last week off. Things are getting crazy around here. In addition, I'm just finishing up my MBA in a few weeks here and trying to get my final paper done (which is why I took last week off). I'm so exhausted and nervous I'm not going to meet deadlines with the paper. Next deadline is Sun. 11:59pm. I'm contemplating sleeping very early tonight to "catch up" on sleep and then crashing through the paper on Fri. night, Sat., and Sun. I keep telling myself I'm almost there... have to endure a ton of work and anxiety for a little bit longer and then I'm done! After this, I don't expect to ever work towards another degree in my life, as in my field, a Ph.D. (the next higher degree) is not very valuable unless I want to work in academia (I don't).
After this degree is done, I'll have time to focus on other things for me - that includes returning to a workout routine. I might develop a new routine or I might return to a prior routine that I had put a lot of thought and research into building specifically to gain strength in muscles needed for rock climbing. Maybe a hybrid. IDK - I'll look at that when I get there. I have other things planned. Hopefully not more than I can actually take on, but it will be nice to finally have time for things I've been putting off.2 -
@midwesterner85 Years ago (when I was highly driven) I was working on degree 3 which happened to be an MBA. I QUIT in term 3 of 5 so good for you for getting through it especially while juggling employment. Kudos.0

What a coincidence - this is my 3rd degree and is also an MBA. I've been working on it since Jan. 2014 taking classes 4 of 6 terms each year (1 term = 8 weeks) and taking a class both terms in a "semester" is considered a FT course load because of the accelerated class schedule. So even for the times that I took 1 course of 2 and was classified as a PT student, I was actually taking a FT course load for 8 weeks and nothing for the other 8 weeks.1 -
I am sitting in the clinic feeling pretty nasty after fasting all night and then chugging 75g of glucose solution. Hoping the next hour and 40 minutes goes quickly.
My doctor told me he'd call me if there were problems with my numbers but I think I'll make an appointment to come in and go over them anyway. I'm a science nerd (professional chemist) so I like numbers.3 -

@samanthaluangphixay I'm sorry to hear that Sam If you've been there a long time and are constantly turned down for promotions or raises sometimes it's best to move on to another company. I had to do that a couple years ago and it tore me apart because I loved working with my team, but I was upset that I was always getting looked over for promotions. You deserve nothing but the best!1 -

Thanks @Sarahb29! The person who got the position does have more seniority than me and I have only been with the company for less than 2 years so it isn't time to throw in the towel yet. That said, the girl who got the job needs to be replaced but their department supervisor is Lucifer reincarnated so I am skipping out on that one LOL. I know better than to get myself in a position where I may possibly needed to be bailed out of jail.

It's "Will this week ever end?" Thursday!
I thought we were having a good day yesterday but apparently my partner in the room didn't! Once she gets in a bad mood it's over. I don't even know why she had such a mood change. Oh well! Nothing I could do but grin and keep going.
It's my early in day so hopefully I can be out at a decent time today and maybe even get another walk in after work! I was exhausted by the time I went to bed last night and looking at my sleep tracker I can see why I'm looking forward to my coffee! Hurry up Mr. Coffee!!
Hopefully everyone has a great day today!1 -
I crochet in the winter as well, lots of recycled stuff- old t-shirts into rugs, plastic bags into mats or bags.1

Unfortunately, I don't live close enough to any of the chains offering discounts or promotions for National Coffee Day. But I made coffee today like I do every day.0 -

Yeah, I should have. Not worth going over my carbs.1 -

My daughter's music instructor, with her church, crochets plastic bags into sleeping mats for the homeless - it's amazing! Who knew you could do such things?! (Can you tell I have no crochet/knitting ability?)2 -

Oh no! If it was at Starbucks, they offer almond milk which only has 3 grams of sugar so 3 net carbs. Their coconut milk isn't worth it, it's not unsweetened Any other coffee shop I'd stick with an iced coffee and heavy whipping cream for sure!0 -
Greetings all. Hope this is the right spot for an introduction. I've been doing grain-free since October at suggestion of acupuncturist because of arthritis. Feel great and have the added benefit of losing pounds. Yippee! Too bad it took 30 years for me to learn the truth of the matter, right?? I did a lot of online research, found Banting, went LCHF, and haven't looked back.
I was a bread maniac and had a killer (indeed) sweet tooth. No more. It was easy to give up bread because of the correlation to pain. And thank goodness for Lilly's Dark Chocolate made with stevia. I no longer eat candy as before but a little dark chocolate makes for yummy fat bombs!
Spouse was dubious but went along in solidarity; said he would give it six months. Well, in 11 months he has lost 4 pant sizes plus all his "markers" (LDL, HDL, Triglycerides etc) are the best they have ever been. He loves to cook and his minor in college was statistics so he is GREAT at putting together low-carb recipes and tracking every bite & sip on his special spreadsheet. Me? Not so much of either but since finding MyFitnessPal, I am doing much better at tracking plus I can share all the recipe macros with him. Still don't like to cook!
We live in Northeast Florida (transplants from Northern California), and are most fortunate to live near the ocean (we couldn't afford THAT view in CA!). At this time we are empty-nesters (but I see a boom-a-rang in our future): Son is in the Marines; daughter away at school. We have a feisty terrier Eddie who is very happy that bacon is on the menu! We own a business and work full time...most weeks.
My perfect trifecta? A great recorded book, a fun knitting project and a good bottle of wine. To me, that is heaven. Next is walking on the beach with the dog, especially when the Florida humidity breaks -- and that is just about now!
In 38 days I will be 60. Before last October when it hurt to get out of bed, I thought I would be crippled with arthritis by the time I was 65. Now I feel FABulous!
Thanks to you for this community; I look forward sharing the journey!13 -

Just stopping by to say hi.
@samanthaluangphixay there is something better on your horizon, my friend.
My baby is turning 10 on Monday.
That's really about all that's happening in my little world right now.
Hope you all are well.1 -
