Chocolate.... Pork rind cake?
That's a new one to me! Is there a recipe? Does it taste porky?1 -
When you shamelessly exhaust your day's calories and carb ration on a chocolate pork rind cake with avocado cream cheese frosting.
@HereLieWe - Chocolate Pork Rind Cake with Avocado Cream Cheese Frosting? Please tell me you are willing to share this recipe!!0 -
When you don't bat an eye as the waitress sets the basket of rolls on your table, but light up when she sets down the ramekin of butter and immediately slather it on your meat and veggies.5

I found some that had avocado in the batter and frosting, but they weren't low carb...lol0 -
I used the cinnamon spice pork rind cake recipe above and added cocoa powder. Used liquid splenda. Instead of heavy cream, I used pumpkin spice protein powder mixed with 1/2 cup almond milk. Boiling coffee instead of water. I added zucchini, too, to add some more substance. Carrots would probably be delicious, but they're too high carb for me.
For the frosting, I just mixed an avocado with some cream cheese and splenda.3 -

...when you check the window on the back of the bacon package to make sure it is fatty enough5

When it is your cheat night, and you still keep it low carb and high fat.6

Mwhahaha...I used to check those windows with such an anal retentive nature to make sure I was getting the most meat for my money. I don't even have windows on mine any more because I buy only thick sliced bacon in big econo packages and you can clearly see the fatty content of it. It's grab and go these days.
I can't wait til we are set up to smoke and cure so I can make my own bacon and pork belly! Still buying that at the stores...4 -

Oh my gosh! I can't wait to build this with a gingerbread twist. Going on my holiday baking list. Thanks @HereLieWe for opening our eyes to something new - baking with pork rinds. And to @KnitOrMiss for doing some leg work!3 -

When you can't stop thinking about that pork rind cake Guess I will just have to get more pork rinds and bake that sucker.3

In my opinion the stronger, more sour as opposed to sweet pickle juice tastes best with the eggs, but that may be just me. I always loved the larger English style ploughman's lunch pickled onions but I can't do malt vinegar once I realized I was Celiac. I sub ACV & white mixed (since ACV is so expensive).
I am going to have to try this. My deviled eggs feature a strong wallop of dill pickle juice in the yolks, so it's likely to be a hit in my house (and possibly with the kids, who love my deviled eggs)2 -
When you go to the canteen for lunch with your colleagues you can find nothing suitable, so you end up with a small portion of steamed green veg smothered in real butter.3

Wow...just had one of "those" moments. Only a lo-carber would regret not incorporating the most animal fat into a meal. Finished a nice grass fed burger (grass fed beef is my splurge item) with onions topped with asiago cheese, horseradish & whole grain mustard...yum. But then I put MCT & butter in the pan, scraped up the brown bits left from cooking the burger & sautéed some baby portebella mushrooms. I was thinking "yum" until I realized that I could have been thinking "YUM !!!" if I had remembered to use the bacon grease I had in the fridge instead of the MCT. As Homer Simpson would say..."doh!" Macros still the same. But...next time those mushrooms will be extra bacony and probably be sitting on top of a steak.5

Either way the 'rooms sounded wonderful to me. Love your add ons to the burger too. Well done!

when your "cheat day" is eating honey baked ham. Went over carbs today with net of 33. Still well below 5% carbs, so hopefully not going to haunt me.3

When you have the opposite of the typical grocery shopping hungry scenario and instead are so un-hungry you can barely pick out anything!3

-
When you finish a 3 mile hike with non-LCHF friends, go out to brunch afterwards and they all say how hungry they are and order large quantities of pancakes, waffles, biscuits & gravy, etc. You had your BPC before the hike, so you're not really hungry, and you just order a salad.11

When you are making cupcakes for your son and get a little frosting on your finger and wash it off like it's the plague. That was me last night. ☺️12

Omg, yes. That was me today.
When your kid comes to you at 7:30 and says, "what's for dinner? I'm hungry."
And you look around bewildered and say, "uhhh, I haven't thought about it." (We ate a late lunch at my parents, so I've had all my food for the day. Usually I save it for lunch and dinner.)
Oops. Totally forgot I have a husband and child to feed.9 -

I did the same thing tonight making pumpkin cookies for my husband!0 -
When it's BOGO holiday drinks at Starbucks and you have to get the Joy tea blend w/ cream! lol
I even considered trying to fit one into my day which I could do by eating mostly meats/cheese otherwise and asking for less syrup but honestly when I do try a drink of a sweetened coffee I always end up thinking it's so sickening sweet so I know I won't like it.0 -
Usually I just get an americano, but if I'm in the mood for something a bit sweeter I'll get a latte with coconut milk, it's a touch sweet because of the coconut milk, but nothing like their drinks with syrup...2

You had to choose from a list of holiday drinks to get the offer. Kind of silly since my usual iced Americano would've been cheaper than many of the approved offerings.

I get the chai tea bag brewed, with heavy cream and splenda. Super delicious!0
