You've got this! think positive1 -
In @katharmonic neck of the woods. Hiked Watkins Glen gorge trail in the NY Finger Lakes. Then wineries. Having dinner and spending the night in a very nice one Glenora. Tommorow meeting my sister for Christmas shopping then other family members for my 60th birthday dinner. Head back to Ohio Sunday. 60 is a celebration in my case! My parents and my older sister all died in 50s. I'm still skiing and cycling so life is good! Also 7 years maintaining a healthy weight thanks to MFP and these amazing races!!!
Wonderful @120maggie! I haven't been to Watkins Glen but it has been on my weekend plan list for ages, just need to get it together and act on it. You picked some great weather today! Before it turns on us this weekend, apparently. Happy 60th birthday! Good for you for being active about your health.
I didn't make it under my calories today, thanks to caving in to a Twix bar at work, so I'll have to complete that challenge tomorrow.0 -
I've completed the leftover challenge successfully today but the spreadsheet doesn't let me put it in yet.
WARNING:
I'm heading off to Phoenix for a week of fun. Next week is going to be a real challenge.
I'll need the team to cover for me. Don't think I'll be posting as many minutes as I have been.

We'll have to have a HUGE team party on Monday for @120maggie's Big 6-0!!
Keep up the good work everyone! Let's finish strong!3 -
@120maggie -happy birthday!!
@vowder-we will try and cover for you but you will be missed! Have a great time in Phoenix. Are you gong to golf? Go to the Grand Canyon? Sedona? Great hiking around there too!1 -

Feet are tired! 86 min long run this morning and then as soon as I got home took Stella out for a 2 hour hike. The weather is unbelievable here today. 71 degrees and sunny right now! And then we have a lake effect snow warning for tomorrow night.
I need to get back outside and get my patio furniture covered up and ready for the winter. I'm mad that my lawn service didn't come this week to clean up leaves in the back yard when they said they would so now it is going to snow on top of them. I do not have the energy to clean them all up and haul them to the front myself.
Check in with you all later.1 -
@katharmonic Great workout! Its cold here already!0
-
OMG - I went out and got the patio furniture covered for winter and I just couldn't stand it that all the leaves in the yard were going to get covered with snow. So I broke down and raked and hauled leaves for almost 2 hours. In that time, the temps dropped almost 20 degrees. It's getting windy and that cold front is racing in. What a crazy day.
I'm exhausted and sore! I'm too tired to make dinner and too tired to go out, but one of those options is going to have to win out. I desperately want some wine and I think I've earned it today! Can someone run out and get me pizza and wine?2 -

Aw thanks @TamiJo1004 You're awesome. That looks perfect.
I ended up going out and got a burger, fries and wine. And am still within my calories for today. Woo hoo! I guess if I did over 5 hours of activity every day I could eat like that all the time.
Teams 4 and 5 are surging ahead a bit, but I see a lot of our team haven't checked in yet today. I'm sure you are out there doing your thing! Great job everyone. I'm off to bed soon. See you tomorrow.1 -
I survived the wedding!!! Still lacking in sleep. While waiting for the new bride to come see her parents I went walking around the hotel parking lot for 30min to get my last mile in.
So that's a total of 4 miles for me @MissionEnforcer. And I've been under calorie for 5 days. And actually found it not that hard to stay under calorie when you only have time to eat twice a day. Danced my butt off at the wedding. And didn't overdo it on the cocktails. Too busy making sure everyone and everything was ok. Tonight I will sleep like a baby. And so will my fur babies!!

@MissionEnforcer I have been under my calorie goal for five days. I was glad I was today since I was a slug and stayed snuggled in a blanket reading since it was the first real day of winter here. Brr it was Chilly today. I had to get reacquainted to the weather again1
-
@Vowder do not worry we are a team and will have your back next week2
-
Thanks for the birthday wishes. @mamaelf2008 what an awesome picture. You look terrific!! Congratulations on a great week too!!3

What a beautiful picture!! All your hard work shows!1 -
Last day of this weeks challenge. Let's end it strong!2
-
@mamaelf2008 -you all look beautiful! Congratulations to you and your family!
I did a body pump class yesterday. I usually lift heavy on ,y own so this was a big change for me. HOLY FREAKING CATS!! I can't walk today without whimpering! I'm gonna have to go for a nice long SLOW walk to try and loosen things up. Shows why it's good to mix things up I guess.3 -
Morning after party at brewery up and did an hour on elliptical at hotel. Husband thinks I'm nuts! I have my five days at calorie goal for challenge. But want to count today to get back on it after yesterday. No cake for breakfast!!!3
-
So I'm in Phoenix visiting friends. Low and behold my friend's wife power walks every morning. I just got back. 45 minutes hard. We went 4km in 45 minutes. It felt faster than that... but those are the numbes.
Really happy to be able to move this week. My caloric targets are out of the window but I might be able to get my minutes in next week!
Go TEAM!4 -
@mamaelf2008 - beautiful picture. Congratulations to you all. Great work getting in your walk and staying mindful during all of your fun! Hope you had a great night's slep.
Good job @cardbucfan on the body pump class - sounds tough!
And @120maggie good for you for getting up and doing the elliptical! And a morning after party at a brewery sounds very fun. What a great weekend! Have a good trip back home.
Got my run in this morning, despite feeling pretty tired and sore from yesterday. And now the big fat snowflakes are really coming down so I'm happy to be inside again. Nothing is sticking quite yet yet with the ground so warm but it's supposed to snow all day so I'm sure it's going to start to pretty soon.
I posted my points for the calorie challenge. I just need to finish the videos, so I'll get on that this afternoon between loads of laundry. Lots of blanks in the challenge points yet so I hope everyone can finish up today strong!2 -
Team 1 let's start filling up those challenge points!
Who is the best team???
WE ARE!
We got this!
Let's do our Sunday magic!4 -
Lots of blanks!! I'm too exhausted to send you your personal reminders!! Please fill them in!! I know you guys have done the hard work. Let's get credit for it!3
-
Muve videos done and challenge points entered. Those muve people are kind of strange I have got to get huli huli chicken out of my head.
I took Stella out for our afternoon walk and it was brutal. Icy snow and wind - seemed like whatever direction we went the wind was hitting us in the face. It's miserable out there. I remember 70 degree days like it was yesterday - wait, it was!
I leave early Tuesday for my trip to the midwest to see family for Thanksgiving. I'l be gone until the following Monday. I will check in as much as possible and hopefully won't have any problems doing the challenges. Total minutes might be a bit down but I'm hoping to keep up with running. I won't have my Stella though, she's staying at the doggie hotel, so I'll need other incentives to get out there more.
Hope everyone is finishing up their week! Go Team 1, it's a tight race with teams 4 and 5!
Edited to add - woo hoo! I just checked the weekly power ranking and I'm currently in 11th place for this week! So exciting, I've never been in the first column before
Sorry for the self brag, but
And so are you all!!!!!!5 -
@katharmonic That's something to be proud of!!!!1
-
Sorry guys - busy work week. It's been tough to keep up and post in the team thread. BUT all the challenges are completed and posted to the spreadsheet.3
-
Quickly checking in. Holiday preparation seems to be ramping up early! Danced my tail off yesterday while making several kinds of wine jelly - stir, dance while the jars boil... dance between batches... Should have taken advantage of the great weather yesterday morning, but I didn't, so I hiked my four miles this morning with a tail wind half the time, and a head wind the other. It's a good thing I haven't last too much weight or I would have blown away! Monday through Friday under calorie goal, and probably yesterday too.
@120maggie I'm jealous of your hiking venue. My nephew lives up on Seneca Lake and it is just beautiful! Enjoy your birthday!4 -
So proud of all of us while we are getting ready for the holidays we are still doing well! Pat on the back everyone!
@celtikgirl sounds good making wine and jelly. What flavor?
@katharmonic great job! Toot your horn1
