I messed my hand up on the weekend, which messes with my ability to spin for sure, and maybe run. Going to start with a 60 mile goal. Thanks, and all the best everyone.

Ouch! Hope it didn't involve the words, "Here, hold my beer."

@clepant - Is it time to switch to the bike and let the legs heal?

@Dean: Thinking you might be right. I am not sure if you answered this question before, but do you carry bear spray on your rides? I would worry about my fur friend?

Oct. 3: Adding 9.5 miles of running lightly, and lots of walking. Teaching pedometer use this week. Boy does it increase student movement. Last day of intramural still late winter. So tired of boys crying over losing a kickball game. No more play-offs. Kids just cannot handle losing. Taking another first grade on a hike to the pond tomorrow to talk about the fall season.

    TTD: 29.5 miles

I do carry bear spray. I usually just bike with slower people so the bear gets them first. If I'm with someone faster than me I carry a gun so I can cap them in the knee and then make my escape.

That's strange. Ticker isn't updating. It should be 14.67 MILES. Also, this new ticker was supposed to have updated yesterday, but it didn't

Starting with 13 miles out of 150.

Weather is not cooperating for Fat Tire bikes. Got on the road bike instead. Adding 23 miles for 36 out of 150.

6 miles on the fat tire today. That makes 42 out of 150.

adding 33 miles for 75 out of 150. Sorry. No photos today. Just nice sunny weather with snow capped peaks in the distance framed with steel blue skies. Forgot to take time to get a photos. You guys have seen it all before. Just another day sunny day in Kalispell.

Okay... I know all of you are probably as sick of this election as I am but I had to share this story from my kindergarten class this morning. Kids finished their action based learning stations and I was introducing them to this game where two kids form a trap with their hands and the rest of the class moves throw them. When the music stops the traps lower their arms and catch kids in the trap making it bigger and bigger. I lead into the game by asking kids what is a bully and a girl says it is a very mean person. After some conversation, I ask if they have ever been bullied...show of hands. I ask if they know any bullies and a kid yells out..."Donald Trump is a bully!" I think...oh no, here we go with the politics and a cute little girl yells back..".but Hillary Clinton is not." After I laugh, I quickly change the subject and move on with the game.

I'm in for 80 again, please. I've been doing more strength training than foot work. My plan is to step that up this month.
