    Today:

    Br: V8, All-Bran Bran Buds, banana, skim milk
    Lu: spinach salad with hummus and clementine and hardboiled egg, 2 ak mak crackers
    Sn: pear/skim mozzarella stick, clementine/yogurt
    Di: Wonton soup, steamed chicken & broccoli, pistachios or maybe a fudgsicle (it's supposed to be 95 degrees today-yuck!--hence, no cooking)

    So, I am all ready for tomorrow...will no longer post in the diary...at least for this first week.

    Here is the plan:

    breakfast: green smoothie: spinach, banana, frozen pineapple, water
    snack :HB eggs with one guacamole mashed in...maybe a touch of salsa, maybe not
    lunch: light swiss cheese and Hillshire Farms slow roasted turkey natuals, carrots, celery, English cukes, Bothouse ranch dressing as a dipper
    snack: steamed artichoke
    dinner: salmon, dark leafy greens with Bolthouse blue cheese
    HC fudge bar dessert

    Yesterday's plan got a bit messed up...thought it over and I am posting in diary...for me, it means more of a commitment...also, easier to see what works and what doesn't and no cheating.

    Today:

    b: green smoothie
    s: two hb eggs, one wholly guaca mini
    l: crock pot salsa chicken breast, celery, carrots, English cukes with Bothouse ranch
    d: salmon, salad, bolthouse dressing
    d: Halo top, peanut butter cup 1 cup.

    swiss cheese and Hillshire turkey
    cantaloupe...maybe a bit of chicken ...boneless skinless (cooked in crock pot with salsa...then shredded. Easy peasy and lots of good protein for the week.
    carrots, celery, cukes and Bolthouse as a dipper
    salmon and salad...LOVE LOVE LOVE newest dressing by Bolthouse...cilantro avocado yogurt. EXCELLENT and highly recommended

    Yesterday was a good day until late at night...let my emotions take over and turned to food. Not horrible...just enough to slow everything down. CRAP!

    lunch: making salsa chicken in crock right now...will use it for the weekend!

    dinner: salsa crock pot chicken pulled...so juicy and delish...taco salad I am think...no tacos

    i'm doing ok, just not enough exercise.

    I did make a nice big pot of lean beef, black beans, peppers, etc.

    Much better yesterday . And super today. Green smoothies with fruit are making me feel amazing. Found a website. Will post it when I get home

    Also I do better with daves killer bread. Satisfying and good fiber!

    I ate great, but we got caught in a rainstorm, and ran, fast, to the nearest...bar. Had 3 chardonnays. whoops!

    Goal...today is day 7 drinking a green smoothie a day...found a site on facebook to join...actually you don't have to be on facebook...it's called: SimpleGreenSmoothies.com Goal is to continue on and truly make their philosophy on green smoothie part of my daily routine.

    I think you just have to experience it and find out for yourself. However, the ingredients and most importantly, the greens, are broken down to their cellular level and are actually better received by your body to ... well, to nourish you and make you feel amazing. Green Smoothies, in my experience, also help to eliminate cravings. HUGE PLUS!

    Your question is the most common I hear from people who would rather eat their calories. I eat plenty of calories...just check out my menu.

    I am on day 9 and right now, my body is craving a green smoothie to get me started. My smoothie is more about getting the greens in...not a meal smoothie. I think Sabine is more familiar with meal green smoothies. Mine have NO fat and NO real protein. I do think I might venture into adding the fats and protein...I need to do more research on that.

    I still love to eat my eggs and avocado. Which is on the menu today with a slice of Dave's Killer Bread toast. I get to splurge on the weekends...because I have time to eat.
