Welcome back, Sabine. Now we just have to get Magic back here.
About a week and a half ago, I got a dog named Daisy. She is the cutest Shih Tzu ever (not that I'm biased). She's a 3-year old rescue, with the sweetest disposition. She follows me everywhere. And I'm walking a lot more now, since she seems to need a lot of "foreplay" before she'll deign to do her business.

Quick check in...I will be back...we move a week from today ...into our very own home. Ernestine has been going to the vet three times a week during this time...but she is doing great for a little one that was so close to the edge.
Ready to start posting again and especially include my swim ... pool is 100 yards from my back door. So excited about that...and loads of walking ... with grass everywhere. Ernestine is so excited about that!
I did not fall off the face of the earth...it's just been so hectic with the move ... will be back on Mother's Day...have missed my routine here.

Good news, Magic. I know a move is very stressful, time-consuming, and challenging, but if my recent experience is any guide, it is well worth it. Glad Ernestine is doing well and that your cheery presence will brighten my screen again soon. Good luck with the move!

Yesterday I made the sauteed shrimp and scallops (with loads of garlic) from Dr. A's book--yummy and ever so easy to make. It's not cheap, but it is tasty.1 -

It's awfully quiet here lately. Magic, how are you settling in? Sabine, travels done? I've just had a mini-vacation (family wedding in Naples, FL--boy, was it hot!), and am now back on program. I find if I get right back on program, the results of the recent pigging seem to melt away. Actually, I missed my spinach salads. Hope all is well with you two.0

Not great SB, but keeping the weight in check.0 -
Magic, sometimes maintaining is the best option. Once you're settled in, you can resume fully and enjoy the walking trails.2

Thanks so much...I needed that!0 -
I have 37 lbs off as of today. Today's meals are:
Breakfast: Black bean omelet (with black beans, salsa and 1 slice cheddar cheese), unsweetened plain Kefir, coffee
Lunch: Leftover shrimp salad-stuffed avocado, black bean salad
Dinner: Ham and cheese sandwich on Mestemacher rye bread, salad
Snack: Probably plain yogurt with fresh blueberries
Craving: Kale chips! I ate 1/2 lb last night and have none left, LOL!
MY dietitian is thrilled with my doing SBD. The only thing she disagrees with is not having rice cakes. She said if they are made from brown rice, I can have one with peanut butter. I found a recipe to make homemade "jam," using unsweetened frozen berries and chia seeds. You heat them in the microwave til it all thickens and use it as jam. Think I will have some of that and peanut butter on a rice cake at some point soon, as the chia seeds give it enough fiber.2 -
