I think that is the power of daily weighing - if you can do it for a few months and not freak out over the gains, you definitely see the patterns. Knowing your patterns, takes away the worry over gains.

    Truthhhhhhh!

^^This! So glad I weigh-in everyday because it's helpful to me and does indeed lessen the worry over gains. :-)

    Well, here we go again...
October 2- 227 lbs, pretty much where I started last time. Along with falling off OMAD, I also had to stop exercising due to injury which is where I attribute most of the backsliding to.

You can do it Jason, this last year I had to lose 10-lbs 3-times and 5-lbs twice. You will get there!

Well, it's been a long time, almost 10 months now. I started IF with a 16:8 on July 24th, and went back to OMAD on 6 August. It was easier getting back on track this time, I have made it all days with a strict OMAD!. Here are the numbers:
    27 Feb 17 - 225.8
    06 March 17 - 224.2
    13 March 17 - 217.6
    20 March 17 - 214.2
    27 March 17 - 214.3
    31 March 17 - 216
    3 April 17 - 213.3
    10 April 17 - 212.5
    17 April 17 - 212.6
    25 April 17 - 211.2
    7 May 17 - 210.2
    15 May 17 - 212
    22 May 17 - 211.6
    31 May 17- 208.4
    New Scale
    12 July 17 – 219.6
    17 July 17 – 216.4
    24 July 17 – 214.0
    31 July 17 - 216.8
    7 August 17 - 217.2
    24 July 18 - 233.4
    30 July 18 - 228.0
    6 August 18 - 228.8
    13 August 18 - 224.0

I am still doing strength training 3 times a week.

    24 July 18 - 233.4
    30 July 18 - 228.0
    6 August 18 - 228.8
    13 August 18 - 224.0
    20 August 18 - 220.4

Although these numbers are good, after reading Delay, Don't Deny, I have went back and started averaging my weight for the weeks. The point made in the book is your number from Friday to Friday may go up, but it you weigh daily and average weekly, and do a clean fast between OMADs, your numbers will go down. So my averaged numbers look like this:
    29 July 18- 230.7
    5 August 18- 228.8
    12 August 18- 225.3
    19 August 18- 221.5

Appetite correction has kicked in and it feels really good to be back to eating OMAD. We had my daughters Sweet 16 party this weekend, and it was nice to be able to eat all of the food I wanted, including cake, and not worry about it, since I just had the 1 meal that day. Friday night we did stay up until about 1 in the morning prepping for the party, and I broke down at midnight and ate again because I was so hungry... it showed on the scale the next day. One day of OMAD following my slip brought me right back on track!!

Happy 16th Birthday to your daughter! :) I love OMAD as I can eat whatever I want with my family and I don't crave for food as I am satisfied. Congrats on getting back on track! You doing so well! :)

Here are my weekly averages, still headed in the right direction:
    29 July 18- 230.7
    5 August 18- 228.8
    12 August 18- 225.3
    19 August 18- 221.5
    26 August 18- 218.7

I had a really good week for OMAD, I slipped one night at 10PM and had 2 bowls of cereal, but at dinnertime the next day I was not the least bit hungry so I just kept fasting. I ended up skipping my OMAD that day and continuing as normal the next. I guess if I listen to my body it really will guide me. I need to hear some success stories this week, I am following the process but the last 3 days my numbers are starting to go up.

That is great! I think listening to our bodies is really important in terms of eating, I have discovered that no more than ever with OMAD.

    @Vanguard1 Good to meet you.

The topic of listening comes up, however, we must ask questions and acknowledge some facts about the human body and our food supply.

Some “foods” have been designed to be addictive. They will call to us years after the fact. We all have triggers.

Our bodies are stubborn and enjoy homeostasis, sometimes even a destructive state.

So, first, I think we have to reboot with OMAD and perhaps some longer fasting to reset that voice in our head (overall body as well). The body talking to us, because the human body is capable of great heights or of being a crack addict.

We have to learn to filter out the bad information. Hunger is a habit. Drinking fluid can be as well, as I just learned. Craving certain foods due to a nutritional need is a different matter.

All my rambling is really intended to say that listening is great, but be sure the message isn’t from a tempter or temptress!

    I

Listening to your body is what I learnt when I started OMAD. When I first started, I open fast at about 2pm as that's what everyone tells me and that I should not eat this or that, etc, etc, etc. And guess what? I ended up caving into my cravings at night. I then decided to listen to my body and I OMAD when my body is screaming for food and its about 11.00am - 12.30pm and I eat whatever I want. That stopped my night cravings and it was so much easier for me. I also accepted that my body is very slow when it comes to weight loss. I just take OMAD as my new lifestyle and don't stress too much when I fall off the wagon. I just climb back up again. Good luck! :)

Your numbers probably went up because you went a whole day of not eating and lost water weight and now that you started eating again the water weight came back. This happens to me every time. You're doing great :)

Here are my weekly averages, still headed in the right direction:
    29 July 18- 230.7
    5 August 18- 228.8
    12 August 18- 225.3
    19 August 18- 221.5
    26 August 18- 218.7
    2 September 18- 216.3
Another plug for the weekly averaging, on 27 August my weight was 217.4 and on 3 September my weight was 218.4, so without daily weighing and weekly averaging it would look like I gained 1 pound over the week. But when I compare my averages I see that I actually lost 2.4 pounds over the course of the week.
The big change is in in measurements though, 30 July my waist was 41" with 25% body fat, and 1 September my waist was 39.5" with 22% body fat. I had a really good week with OMAD, hopefully the downward trend will continue.
