Good Morning everyone! Added another 4.5 miles for a May total of 11.5 miles.
@clepant Happy Anniversary! I wasn't able to take my 30th off in March but I was able to talk my hubby into booking a late May cruise to celebrate a little late. We'll be in San Juan Puerto Rico on our 30 year 2 month anniversary.4 -
@vhuber - Take it easy on that knee. Don't push too hard. Speaking from experience, laying back and taking time to heal it right sucks. Don't be in a hurry. Setbacks take longer to heal.
@clepant - Happy Anniversary! I haven't been able to take my Anniversary off for about 10 years now. I'm jealous.2 -

HAve Fun, DAve!! I LOVE the atmosphere at a ballgame, whether I know who's playing or not . The snacks don't hurt either...not at the time anyway. : / Lol3 -

I did have fun, thanks! And it doesn't hurt the atmosphere too much either when your home team wins 9-1.

@clepant and @taxmom9093 - Happy Anniversary
Returning to the theme of retirement (my hubby is 8 weeks off at the moment), hubby says the countdown looks so much better when you only count working days. Filter out weekends and holidays for a much more optimistic view .... hahahaha
I didn't get my weighted squats today. My grandson fell asleep en route to swimming - so we didn't go in the end.2 -
Thank you for the Happy Anniversary wishes. And belated wishes to Taxmom on 30 years. Your cruise sounds lovely. And Dave you are right...24 more days of this school year and 190 of the next sounds better than 400 days. Dean... I wish I could cover for you so you could have a lovely day off with your wife.

@anaconda469 can I ask you what a hamster wheel is?0
-
Spent more time in the car yesterday than on my feet so....only added 1.5 miles. Mom's knee appointment went very well for a week and a half after surgery. The Dr. wants her to go home but since she lives alone and isn't able to drive yet she feels safer (and yes, less lonely) at the rehab center. Even if she isn't following all of their rules. I think my favorite moment yesterday was watching her carry her walker, still folded, across the parking lot so the bottom wouldn't get wet. Yeah, I think she's going to be fine.
May total 13 miles

@FANNCY0626 - It is a "term of endearment" for a device that allows you use your outdoors bike indoors. They're called "trainers". You attach it to your rear bicycle wheel at the axle nuts and your rear wheel rests on some sort of shaft that has a flywheel attached to it and can provide a variable amount of resistance. Most of the good ones create the resistance using fluid. The other type has a fan on it and uses air for resistance. I'll try to post a pic of one.
