I love all those things too - sauerkraut, pickled ginger etc... And ANY type of curry, Indian, Thai, African etc. etc. etc... I love spice too - the hotter the better... You'll have to post all your vegan curry recipes!

OMG I love ALL THINGS PICKLED AND FERMENTED TOO!!!! Like seriously! If you scroll back through my thread you'll see a picture...I found this little place near me that makes homemade pickled EVERYTHING - they don't even sell it in the store they run, I just got to chatting about it and she sold me some...SO COOL.

Curry - ohhhhhhhhhhhhh curry, how I love thee LOL. I love every kind - Thai curry, Indian curry, Moroccan curry. The options are ENDLESS and YUMMY!

Oh yeah! I do remember you posted about the pickled stuff you got when I was first going through your thread! I'm surprised I didn't respond to that! I can literally eat my weight in sushi ginger, kimchi, pickles, sauerkraut, etc! I even used to brew my own kombucha, and I used to take ACV cinnamon shots daily. I absolutely adore vinegar, so I think that's the real basis for this love affair :D
I am also a HUGE curry fan. My best friend and I would go to the Indian buffet every Sunday in college as our hangover remedy, and it was always absolute HEAVEN. I LOVE bold flavors (and it seems like you do, too!), so I am naturally drawn to foods with tons of spice! Different types of curries are a mainstay in my diet. When I get my kitchen back, you will be tired of looking at curry photos! :p

I'll NEVER get tired of seeing food pictures - YAY FOR FOOD PORN! :D

And YES I love very strongly flavored foods - more bang for your buck IMO :)

    YOU GUYS :s:s:s

I'm not happy - my division leader just announced that there will be bagels tomorrow morning.

    I.
    LOVE,
    BAGELS.

Like SO MUCH. This is going to suck...royally. So I'm bummed - what y'all got to cheer me up?

That's okkkkkkkkkkkkk - I like the same! OORRRRRRR cheese bagels with jalepeno cream cheese - I doubt they have them there, but Einstein Bros Bagels has the best jalepeno salsa cream cheese ever made. My luck that's what my DL will pick up -_-

Can you just take one (or 6) home with you and have it with your OMAD?

THAT'S HONESTLY WHAT I WAS CONSIDERING - here's the problem.....

I actually have Panera bagels at the house right now - WINNING! HOWEVER, the good stuff is the cream cheese - it might be shady BUT I have little plastic souffle cups in my "snack drawer" (the majority of my team are men, so I find having snacks on hand useful LMAO) that I use to take my ACV if I forget to do it before I leave the house. So I COULD bring a lid for one from home and steal some cream cheese to take with me.

Probably fairly dodgy, but I almost don't care lmao. EITHER WAY I'm thinking my OMAD tomorrow will include a bagel (thinking about it makes me want a breakfast sandwich...different beast, though also delicious). I DO have a few calories left over tonight I could use a bagel on butttttt A: there's already a lot of carbs in my quinoa taco meat, and I like to have fairly balanced macros and B: I'm going to want it more tomorrow night SO...

    I digress...

Basically I'm just throwing a mental temper tantrum LOL

You need to take that cream cheese girly!! Might be dodgy, but better than eating it right there and then!

It's already been decided I'm taking the cream cheese LOL When I told my mom about it she said we'll make sure you remember to take one of the bigger souffle cups instead of those dinky ones you have at work lol... Love her LOL

WINNING!!! I love it so much! I usually make it with 'taters for the fam, but I just save all my cals for meat and saurkraut! LOL. I could eat it by the truckload! :p

One of the go-to OMADs last night - lettuce tacossss! :) Sorry it's so blurry I was excited to eat! LOL

i had all of that AND 4 sugar free popsicles, 13 cashews, 1 pepperoni, and 7 starbursts. Random, I know, but I was snacky after my tacos and I had some calories so I munched LOL.

    Total cals - 1503 :)

Have a great day OMADers! I'll be floating around throughout the day!

Kimchi is AMAZING - great by it's own or on things NOM NOM

Part of me wants to try kimchi really badly and part of me is disgusted by it. I watched a show on how it's made and it completely grossed me out. I imagine all things fermented are made a similar way, but I just can't get the image of big barrels of the stuff sitting out in the sun forever out of my head.

Do you like Korean food, @Mom2annie? If so, kimchi on top of bulgogi is the way I think many people end up trying it. Try that - you will probably like it!

Happy Monday OMADers! Here is my weekend grub!

    Friday:
    fx3hcrc7bpe2.jpg
The long awaited bagel with the sneaky sneaky cream cheese - along with half a BLT on tomato basil bread (NOM NOM) and some sauteed garlic mushrooms and onions that were DIVINE. 1600 cals

    Saturday:
    35vunyjpc6t3.jpg
Cauliflower crust flatbread with basil pesto, artichokes, mushrooms, and pepperoni (and half a little pita pizza with the same toppings for comparison) with some ranch. 1665 cals.

Sunday I had my best friend's wedding shower and it was brunch style - I also ate dinner so it was kind of a splurge day, but I'm not sweating it.

Today and tomorrow are full fasting days and weigh in is Weds morning so I'm feeling good about how the week is going so far - stay tuned for updates even if i won't have pictures.

    CIAO!
