@shanaber I would have done the same. I am now hearing about the "anti-mask cuz it takes away my rights" group spitting on people wearing them (a lady on Twitter had this happen). I tell you, if someone says something or tries that, I will lose it and someone is going to walloped. I am so close to losing it these days. I cannot deal with selfish stupid people. As for the hip, I already went for the follow up - basically was told that go by how your feeling - we didn't redo the MRI. I am focusing on short, slow runs or intervals. Doesn't hurt after I ride. We shall see. Hobbes is adorable!

@RunsOnEspresso Incredible running. Way to stay consistent.

    @quilteryoyo That food sounds good!

@avidkeo great self control. Can you bottle that and send it my way?

    Food:

Ok...Got through graduation. Only got emotional once. Got through long weekend. The "world is ending and so we are going to eat and drink what we want all the time" days are over. I need to get back into logging, eating healthy, etc. My weight is creeping up and even though I am burning lots of calories, I am making crap choices. I will allow myself those cheat days only on days that I burn 900-1000 calories exercising.

I also plan to watch Forks Over Knives and Gamechangers documentaries....I want to rethink my diet. I am not a vegetarian but I am lazy and meat is easy. I would like to eat more veggies and be better about exploring new recipes.

Exercise: Big ride yesterday. Today, stretch, roll strength and a light recovery ride. Hope to run W, F and Sun.

Masks are required here now so everyone is supposed to be wearing one outside the home. I will take mine with me always and wear it if I am around others but can't run with it. I did see a thing on the news here where they were interviewing people in different places about not social distancing and not wearing masks, I was shocked. I shouldn't be but I was. One man said his wife and kids wear masks but he won't because he isn't worried they will make him sick. When the news person told him the mask was to protect others (his family) and not him he was kind of stunned and didn't have an answer. How do people not know this now? I really hope there isn't a huge outbreak after all the parties, etc. over the weekend. It could really be disastrous for the economy if they have to step things back again, if people would even do it.

Would your family be willing to eat less meat? I am lazy too but part of my issue is dh wants meat so I would end up cooking 2 different things. I have gotten him to have a meatless meal each week by making baked potatoes with veggies or just a big salad but he isn't super adventurous when it comes to food.

@avidkeo - I wouldn't worry too much about the 600gm/2lbs. Fluctuating up and down by that amount is pretty normal. I think most important is to eat healthy and be consistent.

@shanaber Hobbes is just too comfortable! Haha!

We'd definitely eat less meat, if we learned to develop a better go to meal plan. I'd have to double check my diary, but I think we eat meat 2-4 days a week. Not meat every meal and are happy with veggie dishes. I think the best you might be able to do, is up your dh's veggie portions, introduce something he enjoys and changes his mind about that extra portion. You could just fix meatless dishes and offer a side of meat for him. He grills, perhaps he'd cook that himself.

I neglected the scale today. Sure it'd try to make me cry. I've been just laying on the couch for days. Today I would like to walk, but seems rain is eminent. Also must though through violin today.

    Food
    I have veggies to make.

Trying to tough out the day. I'm waiting for them to cut a giant hole in my leg for the cancer spot.

    Motivation
I watched a few YouTube's of sister Madonna Bucher, the iron nun. I'm trying to keep focused, age and injury didn't keep her down. So I'm staying hopeful and focused.

ETA doc said no walk today. It raining anyway.

@shanaber - Hobbes looks so funny! Sorry about the jerk cyclist. You can imagine as a cyclist/runner I am nice to anyone I meet!
@elise4270 - and Bear is too funny!
@bearly63 - cake looks amazing! I'm sure it was! I get what you are saying about the attitude of "world is ending so eat whatever". I had that feeling, especially in the beginning, and it makes an appearance in my brain every once in a while. What keeps me on track is wearing my normal clothes and not wanting them tight! No sweats or stretchy clothes in the house anymore. I am wearing shorts that have a tight waist or skinny jeans (though I'm too hot for jeans right now).
@quilteryoyo - I was so impressed with your cutting the lawn and then tennis for two hours! I've not played tennis in forever. Good for you!
@RunsOnEspresso - great on the mileage!
@avidkeo - up and down, we could be twins.

The night away at the beach was fun. We got the best room they had (ocean front king jr. suite) and it was beautiful. We could see half the pool from the room and it was packed on Sunday. But it stated pouring Sunday night which I decided was a good thing! The hotel (Melbourne Beach Hilton Ocean) felt very safe other than the people at the pool. We didn't leave the room except to go to dinner one night and I ran on the beach Monday morning in the rain - so fun! Just sitting and watching the waves was fun from our room! And there was tiny balcony too. The hotel had wipes at the elevator so you could pull one, and use it to touch buttons. All hotel staff had on masks, but not all guests. We had decided we would not ride elevator with anyone but on my way down to run someone jumped on and he didn't have on a mask, and neither did I since I was headed to beach. Stupid on my part - should have brought it along but it was raining and I knew I would be out an hour so it didn't make sense to bring it. Eating out was so weird, but fun, - we've not done it in 9 weeks. We picked a Mexican that had nice outdoor seating and they have to be at 25% capacity which was not an issue. It was us and 2 other couples all spread out. It was very windy which could be good or bad. Yelp now has an option to look for "outdoor dining" (maybe they always did).

The one odd thing was that when I left to run around 9am there were 2 extremely obese women sitting in the lobby - right at the front door. I walked by them on the way to the beach exit, assuming they were getting picked up or something. When I came back over an hour later through the front door, they were still there! They were very overweight (like the kind where they have to use one of the wheelchairs in the grocery store). No masks on. I said hello to them each time. Then, we left around 12:45 to head home and they were still there! What on Earth!? Why would they want to be sitting in a public place like that for over 3 hours? I was friendly to them each time and especially when I had my mask on when we were leaving.

I have heard of people calling out others for wearing masks - but spitting! WTH! Spitting is like a Kindergarten thing, isn't it? I am astonished how political all of this has become. I'm going to continue to wear mine in public. Did you see in NYC Staten Island the woman was yelled at by customers because she didn't have on a mask? Imagine those two crowds meeting? Well, I guess that's how American is now.

We had take away for breakfast too! Total ripoff but oh well. And we stopped at an outdoor eating pizza place on the way home. So I was up 2.5 lbs today! I knew it would be bad, but I also know I didn't really eat that many calories so it will come off this week. DH said he was not getting on the scale but I knew I would.

I did upper body workout, 20 min Peloton and 20 min run this morning! School is slowing down. But our last day is not until June 4. I had a meeting with 2 of the 4 kids left in my cyber security class and they are just so sweet. They seemed really sad. I told them we'd meet again later this week and next week. They have finished their work because I had put it all online in advance so the seniors could get it done. One kid is in band and really good. The other is an 2 sport athlete, and they are both worried football will be cancelled. I told them I have no idea what will happen.
Sorry such a long post! None of it is important! LOL

@ddmom0811 I wanted to hit disagree on your post, because all of it mattered and I enjoyed reading it!

I don’t keep up on news and it nice to hear what’s going on as it personally is experienced. The skin clinic and woman’s here is the only places I know of that is absolutely wear a mask. I’d assume the doctors offices are that way, although the bone and joint clinic (shoulder) isn’t and it’s at your discretion. Maybe that’s to avoid the confrontations. I wore mine, but felt dumb when the doc wasn’t wearing one. It’s just hit and miss here.

Guess it just shows how some take the threat seriously and others don’t understand if a threat truly exist or care. We still see a lot of conflicting info on the virulence of it. I saw one large case study that came out a few days ago and cites the anti malaria drug, hydro chloroquine and it’s efficacy. I might be second guessing my recall, but I think it wasn’t as effective? Or maybe I got that backwards. I think 35% didn’t make it with vs 9% without. But don’t quote me, I might be backards. I can dig up the link if anyone wants the study, 60,000 cases or more, 6 continents, near 200-300 hospitals. And I skimmed it, there may be something, probably something I’m missing. Anyway, point is, we’re still trying to figure out the truth regarding the virus. Here’s the brief of the study so you don’t have to sort the details and such. And while I’m at it, here’s some vaccine info.

I need to get off my lazy butt and cook dinner.

I think the biggest thing about hydrocloraquin is that it's risks by far out weight the benefits. And 35% deathrate among people who used it vs 9% who don't... Even in a non randomised retrospective study, that's pretty substantial evidence to not use the drug, despite whatever high ranking non-scientific people may say (not naming names).

As far as masks go, I can see why they are so important over there, where its spreading like wildfire, showing no signs of stopping yet, and everyone is just out an about. I am honestly so so proud of my country right now. Over the last 2 weeks I think we have had 4 new cases, and have had 4 days now onlf no new cases. We are on track to have completely elimated it. When we had the 4 week stay at home order, basically everyone complied. There were a few voices of dissention but mostly people agreed. So consequently we don't need masks. We social distance, we are respectful (again for the most part) and we came together to beat this.

It makes me sad to look and see what's happening in the US and The UK, cause it feels like money was put ahead of people and when you do that, everyone but the extremely wealthy lose.

Oh that was a self congratulatory rant. Sorry guys, I didn't mean to put myself on the pedestal. It breaks my heart to see what's going on.

OK so to the topic at hand. Ended up yesterday in deficit again, yay! Especially when I got home at 11pm and just wanted to snack bahaha. Held off, and lost another 200g (half lb ish). So definitely back down whew.

I've got a holiday in 6 weeks. Sure would be nice to be at my goal of 64 by then... Its possible... Sigh. The constant roller-coaster of the last 2 months is really frustrating me, especially since I had 3 months of brilliant sustained weight loss. Well overall its going down, and slow is good. Need to sort out my emotional eating.

    @shanaber Hobbes is adorable!

@bearly63 Spitting on someone to try to force them to follow your beliefs because you don't want your rights taken away seems a bit LOT hypocritical. People are crazy! And, spit is one of those things that I can't stand! It's bad enough when a toddler in day care does it. I would NOT stand for that from an adult. Yeah. Fisticuffs would follow.

@ddmom0811 Thanks. Your time away at the beach sounds like fun. It is odd that those women were sitting there for 3 hours. Humm. I started playing tennis when I was in high school and continued until I broke my elbow in 1994. Even after it was healed, which took 8 months, I was afraid to play because of the jarring caused when you hit the ball. I finally tried it again around 2009 and was fine. So, I took it back up. I really enjoy it, but now that I've been running so much, I don't feel like I get much cardio unless I'm playing singles.

@Avidkeo You're doing great. Slowly trending down, especially when you're near your goal, is the way to go. It's hard. I know. I'm right there with you!

I’m pretty sure spitting on someone is criminal assault. I sure hope charges are filed in these instances.

I ate a whole box of cookies so I wouldn’t eat chocolate and get a headache. The cookies had chocolate on them. Dd said she’d walk me tomorrow if it doesn’t rain. Haha! I could feel my face pulse, I think my blood sugar might have been up a tad!

I feel like a hypocrite. I take the high calorie cat food away from beans and just leave her looking at me like wth? Then I eat all the cookies. She is down from 17.5 to 16.9 but tends to yo-yo. So... I should walk the walk, er eat the eat. I need someone to take food from me.

    Hey all.

Well did ok today. I think im about 100 calories under maintenance. Had a bit of a binge in the evening, but managed to rein it in in the end. Whew.

Not worried about it, it will be what it will be. Tired now. Sleep time.

@Elise4270 I feel the same way with my dog sometimes. If someone would just give me what I needed to eat with a treat every now and then, I'd be okay.

    You did great @Avidkeo .

I was talking with a friend yesterday at about 9:00. He said his mom had already eaten breakfast, but he hadn't yet, because he doesn't get hungry early in the morning. That got me to thinking about when and why I eat. I ALWAYS have breakfast, but I realized I am NEVER hungry in the morning. I just eat breakfast because it is the thing to do. If I'm going to be home all day, it may be 10 or 11 am when I eat, but I will have breakfast. Then, I have days like yesterday. I ate breakfast relatively early - 8:15am and was gone all day. I didn't eat anything and was never really hungry. I ate when I got home, not because of hunger, but because I knew I needed to. I am rarely hungry. When I am I will eat everything that is in the house to try to satiate myself. So, I guess in my rambling way, I am saying that I eat because I know my body needs fuel and I LOVE food. I rarely eat because I am hungry. Do any of you have a similar experience?

@quilteryoyo I eat out of boredom, stress and pain also seems to make me want pie or ice cream. I suppose that’s legit as it probably offers a chemical pick me up to counter the pain. If I eat right, I can control my hunger and habits. Easier said than done since I’m so lazy with planning and cooking.

I started a high dose antibiotic yesterday. I anticipated some pain relief, (they also reduce inflammation), woke this morning almost comfortable, (shoulder even less painful). I’m tempted to take a low dose nsaid to help with the inflammation, but since I’m allergic to them I’d just be adding more inflammation. Guess I shouldn’t do that. I did take my turmeric. Might be a good time to try to change my diet, least for the week to more inflammation lowering foods. Dang, I already put dairy in my coffee. Maybe I can start after the coffee. So now I wanna do stuff. My upper arms sure are flabby. I think there are some weights in a closet.

My la mer came today. Yay! I already put 4-5 things on my face this morning. I decided the AM trigger is heat and the bump in the basal metabolic temp. The bedroom is cooler, once to the living room I can feel it worsen, add hot/warm coffee and touching my face and it becomes uncontrollable. I put on hydrocortisone (doc prescribed), topical antibiotic (prescribed), CVS brand sunblock because it’s heavy, la therapie calming stuff and topical Benadryl, then sat down with a cool pack and thwarted the ensuing swelling, itching and whelts. Ha. Bingo. Rosacea is a kitten. I will ask about additional measure to control this as it’s getting out of hand. Maybe laser. I may pick up an topical anti fungal, I wonder if there could be a secondary infection. Couldn’t hurt, right? I also thought about washing my pillow cases in something different, dreft is the only think I can think of. Any others I might consider? i know tide has one, but I am allergic to tide and so is everyone else here. I’m not sure I trust their hypoallergenic-like product.

@shanaber You got me wondering what was in the ceraVe lotion that might irritate my face, the one I have has hylauronic acid. So maybe that’s why. I’ll look for a plain one.

    Scale
Up. Duh, ate all the cookies.

    Food
Think I’ll do the butternut squash dish again provided my pain doesn’t get worse today. My flower beds are embarrassing, but my back won’t tolerate pulling weeds and grass. The ground is soaking wet, so I can’t sit and do it, er won’t. Our front yard is quickly being overtake with pretty yellow flowers, they are probably some sort of dandelion. I thought about spraying the yard knowing our neighbor doesn’t want them. But I kinda like them. So... maybe I’ll leave them. Or maybe I’ll spray the patch next to him. Be a good neighbor.

I need to eat every few hours typically or I start to get shakey and if I wait too long a headache.

@Elise4270 Glad your shoulder was feeling some better today. But then to have a Rosacea flareup. You just can't catch a break, can you? I use the Tide Free and Clear and have never had an issue, but I'm not allergic to Tide. I probably wouldn't try that either, if I were you. I think there are other brands that are "free and clear," I just don't know what they are.

@RunsOnEspresso I will sometimes get shakey a couple hours after a high carb/low protein meal. If I get plenty of protein, I'm okay.

After I told you all I rarely get hungry, wouldn't you know I was starving after my noontime run today. Go figure.

@shanaber I think eating less meat would be accepted as DH agrees that he does not need a bunch of it. It's just finding the time and energy to experiment with tasty, satisfying meatless recipes. I have no excuses.

@ddmom0811 Sounds like a fun weekend getaway. Just changing locales and watching waves would be glorious. Maybe those women just needed a different view to sit and watch the world go by. And I love the idea of wearing real clothes. I need to hang up the PJs asap. (kidding). But since I am down 20 pounds I need to get some more shorts that fit. Right now most of my shorts and jeans with waistbands are loose. Not bragging, just need to get a few more things.

@elise4270 Interesting studies. You are right. So much info and we really don't know much more about the virus since the numbers are so screwed up. Today I read that 50% of Americans won't get a vaccine once available. Not trying to stir up anti vax issues but so much for herd immunity. And 30% (different poll) believe that Bill Gates wants to include a tracker chip in a vaccine. I just keep shaking my head. As for cookies, chocolate and beans, I am giggling. I could easily eat a whole box of cookies and then chase it with the chocolate. Sugar is my middle name.

@avidkeo OMG....Y'all deserve a pedestal. You literally just discharged your last CV patient. Jacinda is so awesome. And I will probably never get to visit NZ because my fellow Americans refuse to get vaccinated and we will continue to spread the virus. I wouldn't let me in. Good for you to stay within your calories!

@quilteryoyo I have gotten into IF but more because I exercise in the am, don't eat before, drink coffee. So I eat around 11 for the first meal. Usually not starving but feel I need food. Then I eat around 3 at work or while working. Then we have dinner at 7 ish...since that is when My DH can be home (prepandemic) and try not to eat after. I do get hungry if things are off, I eat only carbs or I did a big workout underfueled and that is when I get "hangry" and eat fast food, chips etc. I am better off eating smaller meals more often.

Food: Ate well under my calories yesterday and drank a lot of water. Dinner was basically Banza rice (chickpea based) with steamed broccoli. Woke up to no change on the scale. Odd. Gotta be patient and consistent. Ate eggs and toast for breakfast. Lunch? not sure yet....dinner maybe salmon and veggies.

Exercise: I ran today. Will do a core workout and a short bike ride.

@bearly63 ugh. A Tracker?! This country, the fear and paranoia such talk will incite? Yikes! Dh is already taking about a tracking app and how covid is just a ploy to make such a move. Man I hate politics and conspiracy theories. I better be ready for dh to come at me with Gates is the Antichrist and is gonna give us all the mark of the beast.... hmmm. “About time!”?, “well, I lost that bet, I figured it was the orange devil. Oh wait I bet he’s involved too!”?, he hates trump digs... “I hope they put mine in my kitten!”... now I gots thinkin’ to do, cuz he’ll be all over it. “Oh my, what ever shall we do?”, “Shame you made me get rid of that cyanide”... uh ohh here he comes.... eta oh good it was just a plan to get really fat and get on disability. Whew!

@quilteryoyo - I also always eat breakfast. Sometimes I am not hungry. On Monday night neither DH or I felt hungry but we both knew if we didn't eat, we would wake up hungry and have to eat in the night time. I guess that never happens to you? It does to me if I don't eat enough calories. I can't fall back asleep unless I eat - maybe it's all in my head.

@elise4270 - agree - this country ... speechless. Glad you were a little more comfortable with the high dose!
@bearly63 - I recommend Hello Fresh for some vegetarian meals. You could just do 1-2 a week and see how you like it. I love it. We have had it for 10 weeks now and though the meals rarely repeat, I was reading about similar services and thinking I might try them to compare.

I was down 1.5 this am -- from the 2.5 I gained over the weekend. My Hello Fresh order won't arrive until today (usually here on Monday) so last night we had take aways -Cuban. It's very salty so surprised I was down.
I got my thyroid test results back and as I expected they were off. My T3 was 1.8 and should be 2.4. The other numbers were okay. I've been on the same level of Armour for about, IDK, 5 years or so. I need to get my physical next month anyway but I may fax over the results or call. They will probably say "we don't trust those online services!" But today I went to Quest and do blood tests for my insurance at work. We have to do it every year and when I ordered the online thyroid test I forgot I had to do that in May! Oh well, I just like to help the economy when I can. Quest results always come back fast, so I'll wait for that.

@ddmom0811 I don't ever wake up at night to eat, but I will have a snack right before I go to bed sometimes. That's probably not good and most of the time it is out of habit.

Oh we aren't immune to conspiracies. 6 cell phone towers have been attacked because "5g and corona" 😒🙄

We have a tracking app but hardly anyone has taken it up and its still a bit glitchy. It amuses me the number of people who don't want the government tracking then but have no issues with all the apps and technology people who not only track their every move, but have also bee caught selling that data! I mean, yeah be skeptical but that's just dumb.

@elise4270 hugs on the hubby. Mine has stuck his head down one or two rabbit holes but fortunately has pulled out before getting too sucked in... Hopefully... Though he listens to a lot of Joe Rogen and im not sure how I feel about that.

Gah struggling right now. I'm sat in a room, doing nothing but watch aachine and people work. And there is food behind me. Yummy food. Brownies, and quiche, and ginger slice etc. And I'm hungry cause I only had a light breakfast. And I'm stuck here for another 2 hrs. Eep. I've already indulged a few things, and adjust my food plan accordingly, but I suspect today will be a maintenance day. And actually I'm OK with that. Mostly. Was down to 64.7 this morning so at lest scales are still going down. I'm trying to just drink water and tea and ignore the smells...

I did go for a walk and do some strength so at least that's something

@quilteryoyo - I am another one who eats breakfast every day. When I started with all of this my trainer wanted me to eat something of at least 100 calories as soon as I got up then a total of 6 meals during the day. So I usually have a protein bar or half and sometimes a banana and then breakfast after I run or workout. Lately I have been skipping lunch because I really don't like my choices (salad or salad or tuna...) I need to think of some things I really want for lunch and pre-make them. When I don't eat lunch then I end up snacking - today was a few tortillas chips and salsa not terrible but lunch would have been better. The nutritionist I saw also recommended eating at least 5 times a day and 6 if I was running (pre and post run plus an afternoon or evening snack). I do have a difficult time with all of that because I too am often just not hungry.
@elise4270 - I have to stop watching the news these days because people are just so selfish. I don't get how they can make wearing a mask political. I am amazed your clinic doesn't require masks. At my doctor's you can't get in without one (they will give you one if you come without) and they take your temperature and make sure you use hand sanitizer before you can get in the door.
I hope the rosacea is better. I have never had it but it sounds awful!

Also I have a brother who is SO paranoid and is sure he is being watched by the government (through his TV, on his computer, etc.). I used to ask him why they would want to watch him but now I just nod and say mhmm, sure, you betcha.
As for tracker apps - I wouldn't mind, especially if it meant I was keeping someone else safe if I got sick. Honestly though like @avidkeo says they can already do it with so many apps. Did you all see the maps of the Florida spring break beach party goers and how they spread out across the country afterwards? There was no special app involved in that tracking. It was what was already on the phones (weather apps, google maps, etc.)

So I saw the electrophysiologist today and have a specific diagnosis - 'Sick Sinus Syndrome' which is a type of sinus node dysfunction. He was very concerned about how low my heart is going and staying. For the entire 24hour study my heart rate never went over 79. It is also pausing 2-3 seconds between beats and that is when I get dizzy. After talking to him I decided I am not going to wait until December and will be getting on his schedule to have the pacemaker put in.

Food - had a decent morning and breakfast. Was nervous about my appointment and didn't eat lunch so then had the chips and salsa when I got home. Dinner will be chicken and veggies.

@Avidkeo It's so hard when you smell the deliciousness. Sounds like you are doing great. Funny you should mention the cell phone towers. When I was at my cousin's apartment yesterday, I parked near a van that had stuff written all over the windows about 5G and Corona. First time I had seen/heard anything about that one. I also pass a vehicle sitting along the street on my way to his apartment that has info on the Flat Earth. People are interesting in the things they chose to believe and those they ignore.

@shanaber I do think as a runner that we need to eat even when not hungry. I've heard it's better to have 5 or 6 meals throughout the day, but I just can't do that. I could snack. But I really like to have a big dinner. Glad you are going to get the pacemaker sooner rather than later. My dad's heart was pausing as long as 30 seconds when he was passing out - pre pacemaker. The pacemaker made a world of difference for him. I'm sure you are going to feel so much better once you recover from the surgery, which isn't horrible, as I recall from dad's.

I read this article earlier today, feels like it fits with what we are talking about. Also, it mentions the book Roar which I've seen/heard recommended many times. I put it on my Amazon wishlist before it came out but not ordering yet.

Dh ist getting better with some of the conspiracy stuff. I just tell him that I'm not an authority and can't comment on such notions. I can't in any way, know these details.

@shanaber when I went in to grab a CD of the shoulder x-ray, I got a mask and temp taken. But now that they have let the masses out, I don't know what they are doing. And I don't keep up on communication, so I can't even say if it's advised or not. I've been wearing it to the appointments, except the eye doc, no one there had masks. Nor was it communicated to wear one. DH say we're up to 25 in the county with 1 death.

I just hate the division all this causes. Instead of spitting on folks, hand out masks. Why is it so hard for people to do better? Just embarrassing to be a part of the human race sometimes.

    Food
Ate acorn squash with a microwaved chicken pot pie shoved in the middle, hehe. Then DH brought me another salad. It was suspicious. Chicken was dirty chicken tasting. Blech. Gave it to the doggies. Overall a better day. Mfp predicted I'll be less fat in 5 weeks. Ha!

Sprayed those yellow flowers. Walked. Did dishes. Washed bedding. And a bit of violin. Shoulder is tight but not painful. Heck ya! Even bought a few school books, 5.

@RunsOnEspresso - thanks for the article - as everyone has said it is very good. Guilty -- especially during my really long bike rides. I am adding Roar to wish list also. I've got a stack I'm going through! I had the problem with no periods when I was in early 20s and lost a ton of weight. When I look back on it, I didn't even need to lose weight. I was probably the weight I am now, but thought I was fat, so went down to about 122 (at 5'7") and I swam all the time. No periods for six months or more. Then of course I gained it all back! And the cycle began.

@shanaber - that is worrisome that the doctor is very concerned about your HR. Did he say you can run/exercise? Seems like it would be good for it. But wow, that is amazing never lower than 79! That article about the spring breakers was interesting too. I have been thinking all along that the way Google Maps and Waze use our cell phone data to be able to gauge traffic, could easily be used to help determine the spread of virus. The data involved is huge though! And then the notification process... I am telling the two students that I have picked to work on the project for the annual simulation convention to be thinking along these lines. Something to help with a pandemic. Kids can come up with amazing things! In 2015 the student I taught did a project called Finding Patient Zero and it was about something very similar - going backwards to determine who a person came in contact with to find who started the disease. I messaged him when this all started "we need your project!"

I can't eat 5-6 meals a day while at school. I guess I could have during this time at home. We had an all teacher meeting yesterday to talk about closing out this year (ends next Thursday) and were all teachers will be teaching from school whether the kids or there or not. They still don't know what it will look like as far as kids being there (how many, cafeteria, sports, class size, etc). I'm pretty sure they will cancel all field trips which means my kids can't go to the simulation conference - but they are making virtual options for the students. Not the same, but nothing I can do.

Forgot if I said my cycling group starts up this Saturday. DH and I are going to wait a week or two. They are limiting to groups of ten but that all sounds so stressful -- like picking your friends to be on your kickball team.

Had a Hello Fresh Vegetable soup last night - it was okay but I'm not that into vegetable soup. Only if the vegetable is potatoes or sweet potatoes!

Really thinking about if my extreme exercise and limiting calories (though I'm ALWAYS over 2000 and usually 2200) is the cause of my thyroid going out of whack.

@shanaber Gald you have more answers. I missed that yesterday. Hopefully all is well and good with the pacemaker and continued care. I know we’re so far apart, but if you need anything let us know. I think you deserve a spa day with the dd, at least. Or maybe together we can pop in on @HonuNui next summer/winter. That'd be an awesome girls vacation if we all could go.

@ddmom0811 the la mer is lovely. I realized last night that I got a bit of sun (all that stuff on my face and only a 15spf), so I put it on before bed. So far my face hasn’t flared up today. I put more on this morning. I am sure I already love this product enough to continue buying it. Dh didn’t even flinch at the cost, said if I like it, get it. Who Ohio! Ok why is iPad so bad with auto correct? WhooHooo! Thank you so much for the suggestion.

    Scale
Tricked it, it thinks I’m down a tad today.

    Walk
Although I loved getting out and it’s incredibly hard now that I’m so out of shape, I don’t think I’m up for another today. The back is a little grumpy and I’m going to “back”off. I’d love to get the trail bike out and see if I can manage not to fall. But, I’m not sure I wanna load it up in my car. It’s heavy and I’m like a wet noodle wrestling a wire elephant ( I made that up. It has no meaning).

    Food
Still haven’t made the butternut squash dish.

    Adulting
    Violin
I may go through these new books and see what I can familiarize myself with.
I thought about mowing the yard (riding mower), but... why take the fun away from dh. And it’s still wet out.
Oh I need to fetch those weights so I can address these arms.

ETA auto correct is just determined to get me...mad(e) corrections

@shanaber Interesting map....not the least bit surprised. So glad you got a diagnosis and have a plan to get the pacemaker. You will feel so much better once that is done! How invasive is that surgery?

@RunsOnEspresso interesting article and book. I will check them out. I for sure don't fuel properly....so looking forward to improving that.

@ddmom0811 Hello Fresh could be interesting for working in the veggie meals. Thanks for the idea. That project sounds so cool. There was an early article during the the pandemic (maybe march) that showed how the outbreaks in Asia (Japan or Korea I think) could be traced back to single incidence via contact tracing. One person who was sick went to a huge church convention and infected tons of people. Interesting about your thryoid and food/exercise. It's got to be a stressor of some sort but if you add back your exercise calories, I wouldn't think it would be an issue.

@elise4270 Remind me....La Mer....is it just a moisterizer or sunscreen too? Love acorn squash - always forget about it....its really great with cinnamon and brown sugar. B)

Food: Woke up early to prep for a 2 hour Pelo bike challenge so I had to eat a little something. Had some cracklin oat bran with milk, a few bites of banana during the ride and a lot of nuum/water. Then eggs and toast after.

    Dinner.....chicken and cauliflower rice stirfry.

Exercise: My competitive self is coming out. I am hoping to complete all 23 of the instructor Tours de Peloton before June 26th, which means I need to do 2-3 a week. They take about 2 hours and 15 minutes. I just don't recover that fast....so we shall see.

Hey all, can you send some positive vibes my way?

Shadow was puking last night but she had seemed to stop around 9 pm but about 10 am today she puked again. I'm at the emergency vet now but can't be in there with her. I get it but it makes it harder, you know?

@bearly63 I think the one I bought is just a moisturizer. They do offer sunscreen. A quick google and their products can be found at Sephoria. We have an Ulta, I may see if they carry it. I really love it so far and gave DD the samples. She was stoked. I'll probably grab a sunscreen one too.

@RunsOnEspresso Sending good doggie vibes. I hope it's simple and not horribly expensive. I always hate it when they take them away and you can't go. But I find I can be less anxious if I'm not in the room.

    edited the unhelpful out
I had one cat put down and they took him to another room. I felt so bad. He was so weak and just loving that we were all there with him then this stranger took him and he let out the worst "MAMA!" meow. I hate that he passed in the arms of a stranger and upset. They were *kitten* for doing that. oh, sorry to be such a downer. But, insist to be with her if you need to. Lessons in speaking up and advocating for yourself. I have room for improvement. Poor peedee-baby.

now I'm so sad.... go hug your baby ASAP!

I WAS NOT HELPFUL @RunsOnEspresso Sorry.
