Oooh, the Chinese looks so good.

I am always up after Chinese too. Salt content I think but hey, no regrets and YOLO :) To a certain extent, that is. I was always able to eat "whatever I want" when I was younger but really need to watch my weight now.

For me, I can't do bread or any types of dough. I get bloated and very uncomfortable so I try to limit as much as possible.

Same here, but totally worth it as long as I get back on track the next day.

Great losses, Kat! I can go up 4 or 5 lbs after a salty meal like that, so .3 is nothing!

Thanxxx for the feed back ladies...Amazing what salt or sugar can do to us. Today was an on track OMAD day. Got crazy and spent 3 hours in my closet and really I'm a minimalist in the excessive clothes department but there was 3 hours worth of chucking and organizing. Had a nice walk again at 2 so that got me to 4pm with just one hour to go for dinner. Hubby wanted some beef so ...I bought a hunk. Uhhhh....had beef, brussel sprouts and cabbage and then still was wanting something and was craving eggs so I cooked up two eggs during my one hour. I hope I can stay in this frame of mind because when OMAD is easy for me it's realllly easy but when I get a chink in the brain it's like crazy challenging. So best for me to not tweak anymore than I am and as long as I just do OMAD & watch the carbs and sugar... I'll get to where I wanna be. Time goes by super fast for me so hopefully time and OMAD take me where I need to be.
Hope everyone had a great day :)

I LOVE going through my closet and purging stuff. It's never ending though.

I love clothes and I buy WAY too many that I never end up wearing.

I have this idea that I live a glamourous lifestyle where I wear cocktail dresses and heels all the time, where the sad truth is that I work from home and live in Athleta/Title Nine skorts and Lululemon tank tops (aka workout clothes) and runners and Birkenstocks... Even the conferences I go to are casual affairs populated by computer nerds so I don't bother to even pack a dress any more. Sigh... I should have been a spy - I think you get to dress up for that job!

thank you ladies...yes yes yes...just keep on a truckin'...head down and go.
Sarah, I used to lead a somewhat glamorous life when I was a flight attendant. Now I'm like you with the gym clothes (I walk daily....so....why change clothes?), jeans, mocassins, loafers....I believe in comfort. I love how I feel in my clothes!
Today was icy here in Denver. Yesterday I went for my walk in just a light fleece. i stayed on my treadmill today. Weather changes so quickly here.
Made a big pot of Vegetarian bean and cabbage soup and had that with a salad, chicken and 1/2 orange. Son is doing the 'slow carb diet' which consists of protein, veggies and legumes. No white stuff including dairy products and no fruit/sugar. So I make those for dinner and then alter where I want to for myself.
I'm aiming for losing .2-.3 a day. That'll get 40 pounds off by June. Maybe not feasible but.....the small amount to lose each day makes me think to not pop extra bits in the yapper with dinner.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day tomorrow :)

That soup looks perfect. Not that I can think of eating anything hot right now! Way to go in the big drop this week, so cool!!

Yes, my previous life when I didn’t work from home required many more changes of clothes!!

I'll have to go research the "slow Carb diet". Never heard of it. I am thinking about incorporating some LC to jump start my weight loss again.

    Great losses by the way!

    Great loss again. Well done!

I love purging out my closet too and this is what I was doing over Christmas in preparation of all the shopping while on vacation. I bought heaps of clothes in New York :)

I've not heard of the slow carb diet either. Sounds interesting and consists of a lot of the foods I like to eat. I tend to avoid dairy (apart from bread) because I get bloated, though I have been having a cheese-fest the last 2 days!

    Great progress, Kat!
@sammygold2015 I actually used to follow the slow carb diet as a vegan, and I found it very fulfilling. I was always satiated and the losses were steady albeit pretty slow.

I have researched it a bit. Pretty basic, no whites, fruits, and no cheese. Pretty simple. I think I may try being mindful of those things instead of cutting them out. Simply because I don't want to start a diet. :) But it can be a useful tool just jump start me for sure.

A diet without cheese, I just couldn't do it. I was going to look into slow carb, but if I have to cut out my cheese, it is a no-go for me

Hi all, yes the slow carb diet is basically lean protein (30 grams a meal), low carb veggies and legumes. Legumes digest slowly so they help keep you full. I like them because they don't raise you blood sugar too fast too. Could be good to keep them in mind. Son lost a pound a day on that eating regime. He liked it because it was 'boring' ....I tried it and gained weight...so not for me but I do like the 'concept'.
Son wasn't home for dinner last night so we went out for pasta. Hmmm...that cost me +.5 :s
Today was salmon, spinach and salad for OMAD. Pretty stuffed but I still got in my chia concoction for dessert.
Super tired so...hope everyone had a great day :)3z93aj3qy9ji.jpg

Yummy-looking meal per usual! That's a pretty small gain from a restaurant portion of pasta, so I would call that a win :)

Pasta the other night kind of threw me mentally. I've been fighting cravings. Yesterdays OMAD was 2 eggs, butter beans, zucchini and squash and half of an avocado with ranch dressing and chia concoction. Today's OMAD was 2 eggs ( in the picture there's a pork chop but I had one bite and just didn't want it), spinach, red cabbage with balsamic glaze and olive oil, cauliflower with peas and chia concoction.
I *may* check in less often as I'm trying to not think so hard about what I'm doing. I'll at least post my weight once a week and try to take a picture of each OMAD meal. We'll see....I'm never good at sticking to what I say... :o Glad to see everyone doing well :)

Good job, Kat. You are doing well and you've got a good grip on OMAD so posting less often makes a lot of sense.

I'm trying not to fixate so much on meals, calories, weight etc too but at the moment, checking in often is helping with my control. Eventually, I'll want to do it less often.
