And now congratulations going out to amazingmummy on making goal!
I am feeling a little better today. I hope I can be back on my feet tomorrow and make some progress toward my goal. @k80flec - I feel a bike ride coming on myself LOL.0 -

However, without fail there comes a time when even the strongest of us can't overcome the ravages of time or disease. I'm so sorry for the owners that lose a pet to the ravages of time. At the same time, I'm grateful for the relief the animal receives when the spirit finally submits and allows the body to enter the rest of those whos essence has passed on to another plane of existence.
Maybe it's because I'm not feeling well but this brought me to tears. All the joy an animal brings us leaves us so bereft when it is gone. I know I've posted this before but I keep coming back to it: Peanuts cartoon. Charlie Brown says, "One day we are going to die." Snoopy says, "But on all the other days we won't." Here's to all the other days when our pets bring us so much happiness. I hope it makes up for that one day when they leave us. Rest in peace all you good dogs out there.3 -

That's GOAL for @2ESSIE, @MICHELEG1965 and @LISAH8969!!! :drinker:
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well too, Janet! I'm improving ever so slowly. The last two days I've felt a little improved. I would clear up during the day and then clog up and night and spend the first few hours coughing it up and blowing it out my nose. I'm going to try to make it through a day at work today. We'll see.
Hang in there everyone! The finish line is coming soon! Do your best.

I think, with the help of the exercise bike, I may just make it. Tomorrow night is a full on, crazy Halloween 5k Run - in the dark wearing glow in the dark, skeleton tights!!
@Dave - hope you made it through today at work without too much of a problem.
@JTH11706 - you’ll make it over the finish line ... cos that’s what you do.
A couple from my running club are doing the Goofy!!0 -

Thanks, @Janet and @K80FLEC! I'm surviving the day okay and hopefully not setting myself back any. I'll keep resting tonight. I'm with you, Janet...I have just a couple of more easy miles to do before midnight tomorrow night. I also dislike cutting it so closely! And your Halloween 5K sounds fun, @K80!
New thread for November is up! Cheers and good luck to all of you!

Adding 1 mile. Some laps before BootCamp, then a lot of laps during the half I went to. I had to cut out early for the new job orientation, but there was no way I was missing the whole thing (made the fat girl still in me chuckle at that). Hated to miss it, it was a lot of stuff we hadn't done in a while because it was too cold to be outside.
Usual new job orientation boredom. At the end they showed us a cheesy movie and thirty seconds into it, I remember I've seen it before - as I'm sure a bunch of you have - called "Give them the pickle!" Was surprised by hearing I have two more days of this orientation, I knew there was a computer class on Thursday but not about these. New manager is not the most up to date on all this. And I still need my ID badge, which involves picking up a form and going to the hospital yet again. Slightly stressful, but still nowhere near as bad as the previous job was. I just heard some ugly stuff about a weekend shift.

Snow is coming. Time to switch to the bike with Studded Tires. It's supposed to be 17 degrees in the morning. Great day to take the bike path. No one else will be on it.0

I'm a broken record. Still sick, little improvement. Did a couple of easy miles on my exercise bike to finish out the month for GOAL. On the upside, being sick has helped me drop 20lbs from not having any appetite. I'll have to take advantage of that as I ease back into working out for realz...someday... lol
Happy Halloween, my friends!
