That's some jack-o-lantern, Dave. I'm still sick too, but I also managed to get out on my bike long enough to make goal. As k80flec said, that's what we do. 75/75. I wish I had the lack of appetite thing working for me though. Losing 20 pounds would make up for everything. I just seem to want to keep eating in the hopes it will make me feel better.

@kar328 - I'm sure the job will get better. The HR department just has to do its thing first.

Another quick update today....and I spotted THREE more of you crossing the GOAL line!! @GRANDMAJACKIE, @K80FLEC and @JTH11706 (Janet!) :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

@K80FLEC - You're right, I have no clue which one you are? I can only rule out one or two that aren't* you. :)

@JANET - No, I don't advise this diet....I just haven't had the desire to eat anything, but I have been forcing myself not to starve. I do have plenty more to lose so don't worry about me wasting away just yet. I sure hope you start feeling better soon too. And for the record, I did not carve that pumpkin...it's clip-art.

Well Dave, you got me beat. I dropped 13 pounds because I was constantly nauseated and no appetite. I felt better Friday thru Sunday but today my symptoms are back which probably means my blood level is up. Fortunately the new meds that I have been waiting to be sent to the pharmacy showed up at my door. They ordered through my mail order but no one told me. I guess self dosing has not worked.

My last Halloween parade and parties at school. They have now taken pretzels and water away and there zero snacks for the kids. Just a story and some toilet paper mummy wrapping stuff. And it's goodbye to my last October.

Adding 36 miles for the past three days making my total of 361 miles.

    Happy Halloween!

If it weren't for my turbo trainer with my medication being slowly withdrawn, I don't know what I would do. I do a morning and afternoon session. I do hard workouts, takes the edginess off at least. With my balance being messed up due to this, at least I can't fall off :D:):D:)

10/29 - 23.0 miles turbo trainer (it was kinda tough today)
    10/30 - 01.0 miles river walk
10/31 - 23.0 miles turbo trainer (kinda out of sorts today)

    Total: 609.0 miles

@Dave - Wow! That's one really cool pumpkin. Sorry about you still being sick. That's really hanging on. Hopefully the weight loss doesn't include muscle loss. If you can get any exercise in, that will help prevent muscle loss.

@Janet - Glad you're starting to feel better. I'm more like you. When I get sick I want to eat everything.

@clepant - I really hope the new meds treat you better than the old meds. Can you start and the new meds and just stop the old meds; or do you need to wean off the old meds?

@dave Great pumpkin picture. I've been watching that Halloween cake wars type show where they use pumpkins and it's amazing what people can do with them. I'm a little jealous of your 20 lbs, but don't want to lose by being sick.

Moving to the November thread ...

Dean: Same meds just a different dose. I use to take 200mg/ 300mg alternating days until my doctor said I should be on 300mg. I was sent back to my GP to maintain seizures as I never had them again. Just three in my sleep in my late 20's. Every time my neurologist increased the dose, I had major issues with toxicity. I tried to tell my GP this but not dealing with this with me in the past made them question my comments. So it built up over the last month. After convincing them that the levels were up, they sent me for blood work and I was correct. So now they are putting me on a 230 mg dose a day. But no one told me what dose to take while I waited to get the 30 mg capsule. I basically self medicated by guessing from last Thursday until today. Not a good thing. All because his nurse would not ask him fo me what dose should I take until I got the 30 mg dose. My hubby will see him Friday and I am sending a letter with him to let him know that his nurse and office staff would not respond to my request. He is a fabulous doctor but there are serious staffing issues in his office.

When I took my dad in with what I thought was some bleeding again, his tech asked me in a really nasty tone as to why I didn't call gastro and go to them instead of coming to their office. I told my doctor that perhaps I need a doctor that specialists in dealing with elderly patients with multiple health issues. He told me that I came to the right place and guaranteed me that they can handle multiple health issues. I guess their office has been called out these things and we have ticked off some of their workers. We will now go to their other office from this point on because we think there is some conflicts of interest and I don't want to die because I am someone's sh-- list. I started my new dose today and I felt okay so here is hoping I don't deal with that again.

Congrats on making OCTOBER GOAL to @SUGARNSPICE1922, @KARID1114 and @ROCKANN16!! :drinker:

@DEAN - I'm sure it's a little bit of both. I haven't exercised barely at all in the last two weeks. I'm trying have to wear my body down any more than necessary. Leave all available energy for repairs. I do think I am turning a corner though. My phlegm factory is finally cutting production! I'm still trying to cough up all of the gunk left inside of me. I think I'm going to go to the gym tonight and sit in the steam room again too. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel now!

@SUSSEXBYTHESEA - Wow, that was a great month for you! Nice job! :drinker:
