Monday-chisel balance and 10 min ab Chisel
    Tuesday-Max Hammer strength
I replaced the 15 min leg Hammer with a 3.25 mile walk
Wednesday- off. I chose to enjoy the morning with my son outdoors in the beautiful weather. Got in 13k steps before noon so I don’t really consider it a day off.
Thursday-total body Chisel and 10 min ab Chisel
Friday-ISO speed power and 15 min leg Hammer
    Saturday-ISO strength Chisel
    Sunday-off

My cycle has started and I am not looking forward to the next few days but I am feeling a nice momentum from the last 2 weeks and hope to make it through unscathed.

Everyone’s progress is so inspiring. It keeps me going. Thank you!

Today I did total body chisel and was impressed with myself when I was able to keep my legs straight out as I did the tricep dips (when you lower your butt to the ground with your hands on the bench). Usually I have to bend my legs and support myself more but this time I was able to do them properly! Yay Me!

    HFM Training Week 4

Sunday - 3 km tempo run
Monday - 3 km tempo run
Tuesday - 5 to 7 km “long” run
Wednesday - 3 km steady run
    Thursday - 3 k steady run
    Friday - travel & rest
    Saturday - rest at home!

So my runs here will definitely be in the nice, air-conditioned fitness centre! Weather is lovely, but it is hot here by 8 am. Just cannot get up early when we are on vacation! The downside is that I dislike race training on a treadmill. I get really bored, and my pace, stride and form get thrown off. I have modified my plan accordingly. Honestly, do not know if I can stand doing 7 km on a treadmill, but will do my best for a long run. But no complaints otherwise, and 11 yr old son is training with me, which is fun!

Jamie - How is the tournament going, or is it over?

Jenn - I do not think that the strike through works on the iPhone, just iPads & computers.

Im back from one of the funnest weekends ever!

    Update on the Wildcats!
My daughters team came into the tournament unseeded.
Game 1 we took out the 3 seed and advanced to semifinals!
Game 2 was aired on TV! We lost bad 6-1 but what an experience.
Game 3 we won 3-0 and ended up for a 3rd place finish at state.
Amazing experience for my daughter and her team!

I am completely out of emotion but I am ready to start this week strong. I will post my plan for the week later!

    • Monday Morning: Chisel Endurance + 70mins on the Treadmill to try and burn off some of the very unfortunate carb-fiasco-binge from the night before
    • Tuesday after work : Max Hammer Strength
    • Wednesday after work: Chisel Cardio
    • Thursday after work: Hammer Plyo :#
    • Friday after work: Total Body Chisel
    • Saturday morning: Hammer Power
    • Sunday after work: A bit of treadmill ?

So I am totally loving my treadmill. It's a good thing I have it cause I sure needed to burn off some of that ridiculous embarrassing binge. Urgh. Anyway, moving on.
I play with the incline a lot and the speed.... mainly inspired by the totally awesome music I blast !!! lol

    YAY WILDCATS !!!!!! <3:p
Very happy for you guys Jamie !!!

Lisa, dude, lol, the fact that you're still following your plan on vacation is completely blowing me away ! De-di-ca-tion. Hey and it rhymes with Vacation !!! lol Trick with the treadmill is music. In my opinion...

Jenn, Bianca, Scotty, we've got this.
LEt's make this week an awesome one !!

    You're right B !

Personally, I'll do 2.5 more weeks of it to get me to vacation time.
    What's your plan ?

    HFM Training Week 4

Sunday - 3 km tempo run
Monday - 3 km tempo run
Tuesday - 5 to 7 km “long” run

Wednesday - 3 km steady run
    Thursday - 3 k steady run
    Friday - travel & rest
    Saturday - rest at home!

Krystina, I have a built in accountability buddy (my active, hockey playing 11 year old) who gets me to the fitness centre everyday on vacation! This kid is my height, tough and he shouts at me when I don’t get moving! He did an hour on the rowing machine & then the treadmill! Figured out that the treadmill motion & sound makes me a bit dizzy, which is why I probably don’t like it. I slowed the pace a bit and yes, introduced some music, so was able to do a “long” run today. Still would rather run outside in subzero, but being in the heat for everything else is awesome!

From Coach Steve and it applies to all exercise:

The body does not want you to do this. As you run, it tells you to stop but the mind must be strong. You always go too far for your body. You must handle the pain with strategy...It is not age; it is not diet. It is the will to succeed." - Jacqueline Gareau (she won the 1980 Boston Marathon & she is a Canadian!)

I guess I will repeat the last few weeks to get me to April first and toss in a few different workouts from some other programs. Maybe I will try some of the advanced PIYo workouts since it's been a long time and I can gauge if I am any stronger than when I did it last.

Are you ready for this ? : Jacqueline Gareau was my neighbor when I was a kid !!!!!!!!!!
I am not joking ! My dad knew of her as he was also a Marathon Runner which is why he was super happy to realize she was our neighbor ! Also, she was/is a totally normal "just like us" person who as you say, was Determined. ;)

Good move on taking your own personal accountability buddy (and rowing BEAST) in your luggage on vacation. You smart. :)
Bianca, you can fit in my suitcase right ?
