My awesome NSV-I did chisel endurance today (which I should have done Sunday) and did Incline push-ups for 1 minute straight 2 times. I am sticking with getting the elliptical in. I use it more as a cool down and it feels good.

Took a wrong turn & ran an extra km! The running gods rewarded me for all of my running in terrible conditions. We have a thaw going on here in Toronto, so sunny and warmish. Ran with no ice grips! I am looking forward to my glass of wine tomorrow, as it is officially part of this training plan!3 -

Bianca, yes the bonus workouts use a medicine ball. But I have been doing them with a 7 pound weight. I did get myself a medicine ball yesterday though.
Lisa, I love your adjusted plan ! This is real life right ? Adapting our workouts to the other things in our week is what we must all do. By planning them ahead of time rather than trying to make time here and there, we succeed. Where are you going ? You mentioned a beach....
Scotty, in just a few weeks, you'll have partners on the P90X train.... GO green ! lol
And finally...
Look what I did yesterday.
I am so so so so happy. I've been dreaming about a treadmill for a long time and now the timing is right. I go me a treadmill in my Super Workout Studio ! I seriously couldn't be happier !
Like I told Bianca.... funny that I am not rewarding myself with food but with workout equipment. Tastes sooooooo much better ! LOL Who is this girl ???

Did chisel balance and ab chisel this morning and was just not feeling it. I wasn’t at 100% and I could have put more effort into it. My Fitbit confirmed it when I burned only 119 calories in 50 minutes.
That last move in chisel balance is killer! That one handed, one legged balancing act with the pistol quad at the end. After 7 of those, my leg is on fire and I just can’t continue without shaking it out. I hope to one day be able to do all 15 on each leg without stopping. I will get there eventually.
Hopefully tomorrow I am feeling a little more “into it”.0 -

I have not yet been able to do 15 of those in the allotted time. I too have to shake it out at one point, if not a couple times. I also fall out of it here and there and have to get back to it. It's no joke that thing !!! I am also dripping sweat by that point.
How boring would it be if we could master all these exercises on the first try. Pfffft. Nawhhhh. Struggling is where it's at ! We're all in this together B !
Also, you should check out post on here about calculating calories burned when strength training. It was a complete eye opener when I did it...
Wait I'll try and find it

HFM Training Week 3
Sunday - 4 km tempo run
Monday - 3 km tempo run
Tuesday - 4 km steady run
Wednesday - 7 km long run
Thursday - 3 km steady run, strength train core & arms
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Rest on the beach!
Have been focusing more on core workouts when not running. Turns out, it is really helping with my form and endurance during runs, uphill in particular. This is something I am going to research a bit more. If any of you have advice, let me know!
Krystina, we are going to Barbados on Friday! Bringing my running shoes with me, so stay tuned. I may literally be a melting beach body in that heat!

OK so strikethrough button is at the top of the "typing area" of a post you are creating. Beside BOLD and ITALIC. You highlight what you want striked out and you clic on it. It's soooo fun !!

Had to do my long run today because of scheduling. Am not going to lie, it was really, really hard today, and I wanted to stop with 2 km left. I usually love the long runs, but it was raining hard and got a foot cramp. Emotionally, it has been a hard time too as it was the anniversary of my father’s passing yesterday. It has been 7 years, but we will always miss him. It continues to surprise me (and it shouldn’t) how this journey is just as much emotional/psychological as it is physical. Anyway, I finished the run because I realized being kind to yourself sometimes means staying in the race and pushing through to the finish line, even if it is not your best day or best run. Very happy to use the strike through today!

I completely agree with you Lisa. On everything in this post. I realized that while I ate my emotions instead of feeling them, I thought I was eating/pushing down just the crap emotions, the sadness, the stress, the loneliness, the frustration... etc. But I was so surprised when I realized I had been also pushing down the good emotions too !!! I was so surprised to wear my emotions on my sleeve... I feel JOY, true pure joy. Like that is nuts ! It's like everything is felt now. Everything. Totally falls in the "what no one ever told you about losing weight" category !
Sorry about your dad...2 -
