It was a very bad week. Something has to change. I can’t keep going like this. Have to fork up the money and join a gym and get a personal trainer. I need someone to keep me in line. Have a friend at work willing to go to the gym with me. I hate going alone
I do love having a personal trainer, she encourages me and I only see her once a week and the rest of the time I work on a program that she created for me so it's a bit cost saving too. Personally I prefer going to the gym alone but having a buddy can help with motivation and accountability so more power to you..find what works for you!0 -

This Week's Question of the Week is:
What's your favorite healthy snack?
My favorite healthy snack is actually kind of high carb but I'm on Keto, lol. It's cottage cheese with bananas and walnuts. Omg, yum. I actually still eat it from time to time, I just do a very small portion. BUT...I think I will maybe try eating it before I hit the gym and see how that goes. I'd rather eat this snack than ice cream any day! When you give up most junk foods you realize ( I realize) how amazing real food tastes.2 -

Daily Post:(Monday)
Track: Yes
Calories: Yes
Exercise: Yes... Turns out I like to dance while I cook.. Headphones on with some firm beats and I just grooved away for half the day. 1500cal burned according to the garmin.
@ka97 I am expecting a slow down.. but not at 120kg if I'm honest lol. I was kinda expecting that once I got nearer to onederland. My measuring is done with pedantic, near scientific precision lol. (except the water) So I'm really confident that the logged nutrition is... well.. as close to accurate as I can make it. I tend to view nutritional info on packets as a guide rather than a rule. The exercise has fallen off a bit, and I'm going to blame a brutally hot summer. It's probably not just that, but that's what I'm blaming. I have made the conscious decision to no longer work out in the gym, just because I find it mind numbingly boring. I even set up a TV in there.. But it turns out I'd rather do almost anything than watch tv while walking on the spot lmao. Since I live in a rural location, fortunately there is always something to burn calories on. So I'm definitely getting as much exercise as the weather permits. You're right.. 1000 cal is silly and I won't do it again.. I was getting a bit desperate to see some change.
Sorry to hear you're in the wars there. Hope you feel better soon. Send some snow my way pls.
@AB0215 Your advice is always great. Thanks. Never fear, though I may whinge and complain from time to time, I'm in no mood for quitting. For whatever reason I feel doggedly committed to seeing this through and enjoying the results for years to come.
Great to see so many of you losing weight. Keep up the good work.2 -
Daily Post
So these last couple of days have been a trial it started our Good on Sunday hung out with my cousin for my birthday outing FINALLY 2 weeks after the fact but that's what happens in my sworld. Anyway had fun at the spa until I realize I left my money home but thank God for cousins, she had my back and I just sent her money via paypal. But on the way home the ride was a terror so even through I got home early I was in bed all night so no homework done. Then yesterday finally saw my Pain Management dr, which I had to postpone last week due to lack of snow removal) and receive my overdue trigger point injections (5) which really helps in conjuction with my medication so this morning I am feeling a lot better. So I am up early to go to AQUATHERAPY! YAY! And guess what?? It's supposed to snow today too well I have three doctors appointment today so hopefully I'll make them all before the snow starts.
Still tracking
Still staying under my daily goal of calories
Only walking a little and AQUATHERAPY for my exercise
Still drinking about 117oz of warer daily1 -

I have something going on every evening this week, except Thursday. This means I have to keep my days caloric intake low and get as much walking in as I can. My plan for tonight is to share whatever I order. Also, my work's annual weight loss challenge starts today, so there's that, too.

@Fyreside So glad to hear you say that you're not giving up, you just sounded so defeated, and believe me when I say this...I get it! I KNOW you will get there!!!
@gjaholy33 Good luck and glad to see you're up and moving around!! Great job!!
@mjohemme Great loss and great plan!! I know you will be successful!! Keep up the great work. And great job on the strength training--it's super important and so many people tend to shy away from it!1 -
Question if anyone knows. I was tracking my food and it was telling me I had 71 calories added cause of exercising then 2 hours later it dropped to only 55? Is there a reason for this?0

If you've added a fitness tracker, it tries to adjust your calories based on your projected amount of exercise, so if you're really active at work and then when you get home you're less active, it will adjust based on that new information since you're now burning less calories....does that make sense....it's one of the reasons I disconnected my fitbit because I HATE that it tries to tell me to eat more, I have a budget and I like to stick to it, not eat back my calories.0 -
This Week's Question of the Week is:
What's your favorite healthy snack?
Healthy snack.......first thing that comes to mind is hummus or guacamole with veggies (carrots, peppers, cucumbers); only thing is I have to watch the portion sizes, because I could eat half a tub of hummus at once!
For portion control I also like the mini bags of microwave popcorn - 100 calories of slightly salty and crunchy, and it feels like a good portion.
Today was a planned day off because I had a couple of appointments after work. I'm still not feeling well so I can probably use the rest. We are getting more snow tomorrow. I'm hoping its done and roads are clear early enough to either get out for a run or go to the gym.
The day isn't over but calories are good today. And I drank lots of water - I think the cold medicine made me thirsty!1 -

I love guacamole too and I understand--portion control is challenging--especially when it's delicious!! And popcorn was (is still I suppose even though I don't eat it anymore) one of my favorite things of all time0 -
Hey Slimsons!
Hope you guys are all working towards your goals, I know you can do it...just don't eat a box of Thin Mints (spoiler alert) they don't make you thinner!

My favourite healthy food right now is frozen strawberries. I am following a low carb/no sugar eating plan. Berries are allowed as they are low in sugars/carbs. I love fruit and it was hard to give it up so eating some strawberries is a very nice treat! (Eating them frozen helps me not to overdo the amount that I eat!!)1

Strawberries are one of my favorite foods too...love that they are low carb as they're one of the very few fruits you can eat while on Keto...as they're low in sugar/carbs...but I tend to limit my intake as I can't just have a few...0 -

I don't know what to say.. I've been hitting all my targets and macros and micros.. Working hard in the hot sun. hydrating, topping up electrolytes, even fasting. And I've barely lost two pounds since late November. Frustrated.
I've tried eating more... eating less.. different times of day. Heck for the first 3 days of this week I only ate 1000cal.. sigh..
@Fyreside. Only just saw this (Don't get into the non-Gustbuster team threads nearly often enough).- Have you seen a doctor and gotten bloodwork done to ensure there is nothing else wrong (hyperthyroidism, etc...)?
- Do you actually weigh portions, or guestamate for tracking? (I'd strongly recommend weighing portions for a week or so so you can get a more accurate measure of your intake).
- When was the last time you re-calculated your daily/weekly calorie target?
- Are you also doing size measurements? (neck, chest, arms, stomach, belt-line, etc..)
Friend me and I can help by working through PM on a number of strategies to try break the plateau. At 122kg, unless you are 7'3" (222cm), it is likely that there are things that can be done.
I understand that you are on a Keto diet. A Keto diet on it's own will not shed weight if you have too many calories in total. Do you have a keytone tester?
