That was actually a gif. The kitten stretches its legs. Too cute for words! Just one of several gifs of VERY sleepy kitties! https://cheezburger.com/6906117/just-10-itty-bitty-kitties-who-are-soooo-sleepy-gifs

We have two adoptable cats right now: www.catresueofmd.org

The NS forum is just dead. Very few new messages. I guess they haven't been able to get out the word.

I lived in yoga pants, t shirts and a flannel shirt over the t shirt while I had the broken ankle. They were fairly easy to get into while I was balancing on my knee scooter and/or one leg. I also needed short sleeves for easy access to the port for my IV antibiotics. I was awfully happy when I could wear regular clothes again.

Think this hung in my kitchen would slow me down?

Somehow I ended up on our governor's re-election campaign email list. In spite of "unsubscribing" I'm still getting emails. Today I got one asking me if I'd filed my absentee ballot. My first thought was that he used his position as governor to access the names of folks who requested absentee ballots and is now sending them campaign emails. DH says maybe both candidates have access to those files. Hmmm, I have my doubts.....

That would seem like an illegal use of voting record information. There must be a state election agency that you could report it to; probably the Secretary of State's Office? Here's a possible place to address the question. elections@alleganygov.org

Send him our way. we have a bumper crop of acorns in our neighborhood. the squirrels aren't working hard enough to clear them all up. The folks of wild turkeys are pitching in but my driveway and sidewalk are covered with them.

I saw a new NS commercial They have a new program. They will test your DNA and "unlock your weight loss secrets". I kid you not.

How much do you think they actually tweak the program for just one person????

When I was buying NS earlier this year I was asked to participate in several market research surveys that asked a lot of questions related to DNA testing and programs that might be devised according to the results. I guess they are rolling that out now. Probably a few different canned approaches that are assigned based on the results of your testing, but not that different than the previous offerings.

It’s a wet, cold day here. We’ve had a lot of rain over the past few days, and more expected this week. We may see around 6-8 inches before it’s done. Our pool has an overflow feature but it can barely keep up with the amounts we are seeing, and the park that is nearby has been closed due to all of the mud covering the walking trails. Parts of this area are experiencing flooding as well, although we don’t have any issues in our neighborhood because we are located on a hill that drains to a field and eventually into a creek.

Everywhere you go hear people are talking about rain and water and being fed up. I just hope we don't get this much moisture this winter!

The chili with beans is apparently back on the NS menu.

I discovered you can order South Beach food a la carte. I have a little here (from ebay) that I'll probably try as I settle back into dieting.

We have another drizzly day today. I think we saw the sun one day last week I'd love some sunny, dry weather about now.
Pam, remember when TX had a drought? We used to see pics on the news of cracked, dried lake beds. What a difference from now. It's too bad we can't send CA some of this excess rain that we don't want or need.

Dreary days and rainy days with low temps are getting old. I like this take on exercise class:

    Jean - love it!

In the interest of full disclosure, in all these years there have been 27 Dubbs' cats and none has ever bothered the toilet paper.

I lost a pound last week.

I'm proud of having been on the treadmill every day. My current goal is 20 minutes every evening after DH goes to bed and 15 minutes each the two days he goes to work. I'm watching season 5 of My 600-lb life.

We're having a beautiful sunny fall day. We get about half a dozen of them. For the most part Maryland goes right from summer to winter.

Australian firefighters pose with animals for 2019 charity calendar. If this isn't selling like hot cakes (bad pun intended) I'd be surprised: https://cheezburger.com/6941701/australian-firefighters-pose-with-animals-for-2019-charity-calendar

I feel deprived. I've only had 3 cats in 40 years. The first was a solo. She didn't like other cats. We got the next two at the same time. They tolerated each other for the first dozen years. After that, they didn't play well or anything else together.

27 doesn't include fosters. There was a period of at least 15 years when we never had less than 16. I admit the house feels sort of empty now with six. But as we get older we would be irresponsible to not start letting our numbers drop.

I've always said in my next life or my next husband, whichever comes first, I'm going to have a dog.
