Helene - I suggested he use my water pik but was met with derision. LOL!

Good Housekeeping had a brief mention of vertigo usually being caused by BPPV - benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Caused by tiny calcium particles in your inner ear being out of place. And how your doctor can show you head movements to practice that will put the crystals back in place. Never heard of it. http://vestibular.org/understanding-vestibular-disorders/types-vestibular-disorders/benign-paroxysmal-positional-vertigo

i actually experienced that about 5 year ago. I woke up during the night and felt like the bed was moving. I couldn't walk a straight line without banging into the wall. I took motion sickness drugs for a few days and did an exercise to reposition the crystals in my inner ear. It worked and I've been lucky not to have t again.

Pam, do the second opinion. It couldn't hurt and you might get a different approach. I'm a big believer in chiropractic care. Have you tired that? It makes sense to me if the body is out of alignment, you put stress on other areas to compensate. And that can cause pain. When I'm out of alignment, I tend to get hip and knee pain. Seeing the chiropractor has given me pain free periods.

Maryanne--Did you miss Nutrisystem's BOGO a la carte special? I accidentally discovered it in an email I hadn't read, so I ordered some items yesterday and delivery is expected tomorrow. I finally ditched the 35 Day AD I had and subscribed to the a la carte plan but I can't remember its name.

Pam--A second opinion is always good. I went for PT twice a week in the city and did selected exercises at home from September to Christmas of last year because of a break in the spine that was pressing on the spinal nerves. It was either strengthen the core muscles to hold the spine in proper alignment or go for a spinal fusion in the lower area. I still do some of the exercises but so far so good.

I am really impressed with myself I am now doing an hour of exercise a day on my heavy duty magnetic mini-cycle. I have lost 4 pounds this month which may not seem like much but when eating 1200 to 1300 calories a day and barely losing, this is great progress for me.

Jean - you're doing great! I never get ns emails except for ones selling the whole program that I assume are mass marketing and not targeted at current members.

I stuck to my plan yesterday.

Jean - thanks for the tip! I had stuff in my "cart" on NS and went to check. I tweaked a few things so I'd have free shipping and between the BOGO and the Success a la Carte savings I did great!

Maryanne, I love that show! I’m glad the writers are finally going to let the audience know what happened to Jack, but I’m expecting the episode to be a real tear jerker. Love the graphic!

I tend to miss some of the little details so sometimes I check this forum to see what folks are saying and pick up the little things I missed (or forgot from a previous episode): http://forums.previously.tv/forum/2519-this-is-us/

I'm really surprised they took the risk of the makers of crock pots suing them. Of course if something is true you can't really sue over it and apparently firemen aren't going around saying "oh there's no risk to leaving a crock pot on".

Maryanne--Glad you got into the deal from NS.

I'm on a ER kick as I'm watching it from Season One and on via Hulu. It is a great way to entertain myself while exercising. I confess to not seeing "This is Us."

Our niece melted her crock pot while living in France. It was plugged in using a converter for the difference in current as it was the crock pot she used back here. She left to run errands and came back to a melted crock pot! I wish I still had the picture she posted of it. Fortunately she got to it before it could burst into flames, but it could have done some major damage.

    Loved this one!

I saw two good movies this weekend. Last night DH and I saw The Post and really enjoyed it. The. This afternoon I saw I, Tonya with a friend. It was also excellent. I was surprised at how much humor this movie incorporated since the actual real-life story was quite sad. I would definitely recommend both movies.

Good one Pam! I think I'll enjoy The Post. Around here, when someone quotes The Post everyone takes it seriously.

I stuck to my plan this weekend. Granted, the plan included using up a few things that wouldn't ordinarily be on the meal plan.

    Lost a pound last week.

I had a NS BBQ beef, beans and rice for dinner. Pretty ancient, I know. That was back when there were foods I'd have eaten even if I weren't on a diet.

Maryanne--One of the NS foods I really enjoyed and miss were the scones. The last time I got the muffins, they looked like they were getting smaller and definitely were not filling. Oh I did love the scones and also the muffins but they are a thing of the past.

I just booked Midnight's boarding for when I'll be in England in late March. Just taking care of things as I think of them. Poor cat! On the other hand, they take such good care of him, so I have no worries when gone!

One thing I'll never forget from my original intro to NS was the muffins. They came three in a pack and they were the tiniest little hard things you ever saw. And you were only to eat one.

I see the frozen part of my NS order is on the truck for delivery. I'm also expecting bird seed today. So the birds and I will eat.

There have been two listings on ebay recently for frozen JC food. Both said nothing about shipping except "priority mail". One of the seller didn't respond to my inquiry as to how he/she would ship. I see he/she got a negative from the eventual buyer who received thawed food. The other responded that he intended to put the food in a priority mail box with an ice pack and ship. And he was out west. We agreed that wouldn't cut it. Next thing I knew he'd redone his listing to limit it to neighboring states.

Maybe this is the year I'll succeed in eating my way through my pantry enough to justify going on JC for a month or so?

I'm having a JC shelf stable day today.

My NS order came today so think I'll have a frozen NS day tomorrow.

Then most likely a shelf stable NS day on Thursday because I've been thinking about my mac n cheese mixed with chili and divided in half dinner that I haven't had for awhile.

I loved the old NS scones and they had a cranberry orange pastry which was really good. At the end, it seemed like if I liked it, it was going to be gone.
