Thought I answered the question of the week but it must not have posted! I would love to go hiking/backpacking/camping for an extended trip like a week or two. My book club had us read “Wild” last summer and its a true story about a troubled girl who hikes the pacific coast trail alone for several months. I’m not really into non fiction but it was a good book, very inspiring!

I'm struggling with wanting to track. I am normally very dedicated but just not feeling it today. I stuck to keto but probably could have made better choices than sugarfree chocolate & pumpkin seeds for dinner... Hehehe

Goals: Really stressed out about the amount of things I need to get done today. Found my chill and just got on with things, but I do need to be mindful of my stress levels. I tend to drop the ball if I stress out.

@IanMoone30 Sounds like one of those moments when you have to dig deep and just find that energy to do what needs doing. Remember why you set out on this journey and get stubborn about wanting the results.

Today is going to a very busy day in my middle school world. I have a huge district assessment that I need to find some time to finish marking. I teach all seven periods today so no prep periods. Then we (the teachers) are playing ball hockey against the Grade 7 and 8 kids...we always win, but every year we get older and it gets a little harder! Plus we have no air conditioning in our building and it gets hot! Then I have girls softball tryouts after school. Then home to my own kids and their needs...aka helping my older son with his PROMposal and helping my younger son with the finishing touches on his resume for a job interview he has on Friday. Then off to the pool! If I am lucky I will have somehow managed to mark these assessments before the end of the day and will not need to finish them at 9pm tonight! Wish me luck! On the upside, we have so much fun kicking butt at ball hockey!!!

@River_Goddess Not sure how much meal prep you do, but I have found a direct connection between my meal prep and good dieting decisions. On those days when I'm just not feeling it, being able to reach for a pre made and portioned meal from the fridge or freezer helps me keep on trackin with a minimum of effort. If I run out of those I eat grated cheese straight out of the bag and expensive low carb chocy bars. :/

@JJKM02 Wow, that is a big day. Have fun with the hockey.

@AB0215 Woohoo! thanks for the headsup on the bookmarky thing.

    Weigh in day: Thursday
    Previous Weight: 161.8
    Current Weight: 161.0

Baby steps..... I am hoping it's just water retention from the exercise, since I work out now, the day before weigh in..... But it's still down. So it's still a win!

This made me laugh out loud  Thanks, this is so true for me too.

I do normally have keto friendly dinners portioned out and frozen, however lately I've been so busy with work that I've depleted them all without time for restocking. This is a good reminder to make meal prep a priority this weekend...

100% agree with this. It helps SO much to just have it planned out and already decided.

    Track?: Yes
    Calories: Under calorie goal.
Exercise: No intentional exercise. Just sat most of the day studying.
    Water: 50 ounces.

Comments: 193.1 on the scale this morning so pretty solid between today and yesterday. I'm also making the intention to slowly make working out part of my lifestyle. I read that losing weight is the easy part and that maintaining the loss is the hard part and working out helps a lot with it. So I'm going to try to start working out to aid the weight loss process and also to set me up for making it part of my life.

Sorry guys, struggling this week. I've been reading but not posting. I'm tired. Kickboxing yesterday, lifting today - both pretty much sucked. Could be work, could be TOM. Haven't been tracking. Not looking forward to getting on the scale. Feeling tired, crampy, and bloated - so I"m sure it won't be good. But it is what it is, right?

@ka97 Unfortunately, every day is different, I know exactly how you feel. Some days I go to the gym super psyched and my workout is lackluster, some days I drag myself there, and crush it. Sometimes TOM gets me too, sometimes it doesn't bother me, and I cannot for the life of me figure it out.But this week, I am right there with you, not looking forward to the weigh in this week either. Anyways, hang in there, it's only ONE week.

So today has been a sad day. My best friend told me she is moving pretty much 4 hours away. This breaks my heart. She is like my sister. The Godmother to my children. I’ve cried. I’ve lifted heavy weights at Pump. I’ve pushed it at volleyball. And now I am drowning my sorrows in white wine.

@jennfalzon1979 I'm sorry to hear that. I'm failing to find words that will be helpful in anyway, except, I do understand how you feel and it just really sucks. And the cold to top it all off, not a great day for you, but hang in there, it will get better :)
Great exercise though, despite how you're feeling :)

Goals: Forced myself to go to the gym today.Almost managed to talk myself out of it, twice, but I went anyway. Wasn't looking forward to my 240 lb deadlifts in my program today. Crushed them. Starting to think that going to the gym at 9pm with all the meatheads is helping. I'm super competitive...
Anyways, for the first time like ever in the history of my lifting "career" I am looking forward to my deload and then rest time before my next few weeks of training. It's heavier and harder than it's ever been, but I'm getting stronger so I'm really happy with my achievements this far.

    Track: Nope
Calories: I am certain I ate way too much, but I was really hungry today, and had zero self control...
    Exercise: 60 minutes deadlifts/back.
    Water Intake: 99 oz

Argh.. I've done it again, I sit down to check the thread and find a half finished post from earlier sitting here unposted. :/

    Daily Post: (Thursday)
Goals: I've been needing to get out and resupply for a while now and spent nearly the whole day doing that. Fortunately that involved plenty of walking and lifting. The fallout of my stress melt down yesterday is that I have trashed my healthy sleeping pattern and now I need to stop staying up till 3am again.
    Track: Yes
    Calories:Yes
Exercise:Down a little from my current daily trend but still got some in.
    Water Intake: Yes

@ssssanaaaa Yep, right there with you on the working out lifestyle integration. We know we can lose just by limiting calorie intake, but as I look to the years to come, I can't see just eating less being a long term solution. So burn more, eat well is shaping up to be the way forward. It's hard though, based on one's actual life. Like breaking away from important study to workout, then shower etc.. But the rewards on offer are substantial. :)

The whole busier active lifestyle thing is slowly forcing me to be more organised.. To keep up with the extra laundry etc. lol.

I'm so sorry :( Friends can be closer than family sometimes. I know you're probably feeling awful but at least you guys can still visit each other and keep in touch through text, calls, and even video-calling. So at least it's not like how it used to be where it was difficult to ever see/talk to another person again if they moved away. You guys can still have a strong relationship regardless of distance. Hope you feel better. <3

    Track?: Yes. Everything.
    Calories: Under calorie goal.
Exercise: No intentional exercise. Just sat most of the day studying.
    Water: 50 ounces.

Comments: 192.9 this morning and was 193.1 yesterday so I'm guessing I've shed off the water weight and now I'm actually chiseling away at the actual weight. I've done really well this week. I'm pretty proud of myself. I've been under my calorie goal every day and been eating really healthily with fruits and veggies in my diet. Planning on keeping it up through the weekend although I am allowing myself one maintenance calories day on Saturday since I've always had an issue with being perfect on the weekends I think it's only fair to change little by little and not be too hard on myself but still not ruin my progress.

@Fyreside exactly! Not to mention just the health benefits of raising your heart rate a few times a week, regardless of weight! But yeah, I totally agree on the organization thing. Having a busier schedule forces me to stay on top of other things as well in my life because I know that I won't have time later on to do those things! So maybe working out will just increase our productivity!
