Tracey's OMAD Reboot

Hi Tracey,
Sorry about the scale.....That is one reason I can't weigh everyday it would drive me nuts, but for some it works. I know that @mistymeadows2005 has had a 10lb swing in a week's time, so it may be possible for you. DOn't get discouraged, you know it was just the extra bloat from the carbs and that your "whoosh" will come......We are here to support you, you have done so awesome and I am sure your trend downward will continue!! Hugs0 -
Thanks Donna, you are so right. I am looking forward to the whoosh any day now. I am of the mindset that you should not go low carb/keto unless you are in it for life because I know in my case it works really well as long as you are doing it but as soon as you reintroduce carbs the weight will come back with a vengeance. I have come to terms with this now and will NOT be doing low carb/keto anymore. I will just consume the healthy carbs and stay away from the processed junk.0

It can be so frustrating Trace, I know The swings sometimes start to get to me too (like the last few week's annoying-a** plateau) but I just try to remember that it's a longer term downward trend, and the day to day just tells me how light or heavy my day should be...I like that your instinct when "at a loss", as you put it, was to go back to basics...that's a foolproof plan 99 times out of 100. I like tweaking mine and it keeps it interesting but it also does add variables, so the dice-roll is worth it for me to play around with things, but basic OMAD will always be the go-to ole' reliable
You've got this lady! I think we're all a tiny bit stuck in a plateau but we'll get through it together!

I think my body is still stuck on a higher body weight set point and any opportunity I give it to get back there it is going to take it. I need to figure out how to change that set point.0

Well consistency should certainly help...As an example, I think I'm going to stick with my 72 hour fast this week for that simple fact...I want to keep it consistent week-to-week for now...if I'm still not seeing anything by EOW then I might consider changing it up but I wanna give it time to do it's thing...I think your current plan is beautiful0 -
For me, since I can't do low carb for life (okay or more than a week or two) I have to stay away from it all together even though the weight will fly off but with one morsel of bread it comes back with a vengeance, I mean one morsel of bread can pack on 5lbs....I like carbs too much to give them up as well......
So stick to what you know works, don't be too hard on yourself you are still doing fantastic!!!!1 -
I have decided to go with OMAD on my work days and an 8 hour window on weekends/off-work days holding off when I break my fast as long as possible. No food restrictions
Starting today. I hope to have a whoosh and get in the low 160's by Friday.0 -

I am feeling much better today. I didn't have as big a drop as I'd like this morning but it was a drop so I'll take it. I was reading up on weight set points yesterday and found where it is better to drop weight slower so the body won't fight back as much so I am not going to rush my losses. I will take them as they come through OMAD and hope my body cooperates and gets the hint that I want to be smaller.0

I like it...and it seems like you're most peaceful and comfortable with sticking with the basics anyway, which I'm sure has psychosomatic benefits as well! We'll get there! Stay the course and run the play, right?
ALSO THAT SALAD LOOKS AMAZING0 -
The salad was Sooooooo good.
I tend to make things more difficult than they have to be and overthink things. I can handle not eating at work with no problem (providing I leave my cash in the car) and doing an 8 hour window should cover all other times so that is what I need to commit to.0 -
I like that plan!!! Im glad you're feeling better0
-
Yes I do the same thing trying to make them a lot more complicated or harder is never good......So glad you have found a new plan that will work for you!!!0
-
AGREED! Straight up OMAD with some splurge days is my maintenance plan (whenever I finally get there LMAO) which just sounds so easy and glorious and MAINTAINABLE :-D0

Excited to see your woosh today0

No whoosh today. Weighed in this morning at 168.4. I am good with the small daily losses because they will add up to the bigger losses that I will hopefully be able to hold on to.0
-
There ya go Tracey! We've got 2 more days, so you should be able to see a net loss this week still0

Exactly!!! You got this0 -
AWESOME results!!!0

I don't know Steph. It will be real tough for me to pull a net loss from last Friday's weight of 164.8. I would need to lose 4+ pounds overnight to have a net loss in the morning0

Awwww phooey - i was thinking that 168.4 was yesterday's weight *sigh* - well if it makes you feel better I've been netting a gain every other week for like 6 weeks now LOL - I gained 1.2 one week and then showed a 4 lb net the following week to make up for it...so maybe you just gotta figure out your current losing pattern0 -
I had been changing things up quite a bit so it is really hard to tell what was working so I am hoping that by sticking with my workday OMADs and 8 hour off days it will yield me some consistent results. So far I have been having small losses everyday since Monday and I hope to continue that streak and have the little losses gradually get me to goal.1

I like it! Plus daily losses are really encouraging too Especially since (for me at least) regular OMAD is so low stress and easy!0 -
Since Monday my little losses have added up to 2.7 pounds lost. I just wish they weren't coming off of a 9 pound gain. I still have a lot of ground to make up. My lowest weight last week was 162.1 pounds.0

Well if you get down to that, only 2 pounds to 160! Which seems totes reasonable at your current rate of loss!0 -

You just forget about that gain last week and stick to your new plan and you'll be back down to where you want to be soon0
