    water- 72 oz.
Exercise & steps: 30 min Leslie Sansone walking video and 10,015
    Day 1 on my string

I am checking in tonight as I am meeting my friend who retired for breakfast tomorrow. Tonight is her last nightshift after 40 years!! I had a good day, still decorating, got my exercise in and was on point with my food. Tomorrow I am going shopping after I meet my friend and then back to decorating. No excuses not to add to my string tomorrow.

I rolled the dice in the team challenge and got a 6. I have to identify one small habit I want to change or focus on in 2019 and make a plan on how I might accomplish it in 2019. Planning is what I would like to work on. I am doing way better than I have in the past but I still have to work planning my meals and menu for the day ahead of time. I would really like to see it be more ingrained into my routine. I think by making planning more of a priority, I can meet this goal. I also know if I log my food ahead of time I will do so much better eating healthy.

I will check in a little later in the day today. Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!

    Daily check in for: Sunday
    logged- yes, on track.
    water- 36 oz.
Exercise & steps: 9919 and day 2 of yoga
    Day 5 in my string

I had a very nice weekend. I love love love all the activity on the thread. We are getting geared up for the holiday season. yesterday, did the pre planning and grocery shopping for the week. then i had a nap for about a half hour. then went vacuum shopping. no buying yet, doing research. i am looking for suggestions for anyone who has a hairy dog and plush carpet. then i went out to dinner. i skipped lunch to make room for the extra calories. got home and did a half hour walk on the treadmill and then did the 30 minutes of yoga, day two (if anybody wants to join the challenge it is on utube and is called 30 days of yoga with adriene)

oh yes and don't forget, those of you that track steps report them on your weekly weigh in for your weekly step total. we will track them on the spreadsheet.

I am going to make december a success. my goals are:
to walk everyday for a half hour
to get 10k steps 6 days a week
    to explore new food options
complete the 30 day yoga challenge and above all:
    to loose 4 pounds.

@DananaNanas i high lighted the yoga videos above.

@lennoncpa yay! you got your food scale. now make sure you use it for everything!! i do. it is a great tool to have in your weight loss bag!

@sleepymom5 ohhh. an impromptu visit from family is wonderful. makes my heart sing!! lucky girl! lets shoot for onederland for the new year. ohhhh it would be glorious. we will work hard. make your star chart. and lets get going. i am with you girl.

@nstephenson01 i was going to decorate this weekend. but didn't have the motivation like you. and your right, liquor would help but lets make a new tradition.

@CassieGetsFit2013 you have such a sweet heart. you are the sweet one of the group. lover of animals and eggnog. you are a determined soul and you never give up. i hope to be hear to watch you make it. so lets make this december your month to shine!!

@Mrsbell8well thanks for the 30 day yoga idea. i love it so far. i sweat my butt off last nite doing it!!

@Shirin_K i am glad your doing the yoga with us! at the end of december we should be way more toned! yay us.

@amsandos i have done that soooo many times. I have responded to everyone and then posted and it was gone. take heart. it doesn't happen often. i quess you cant complain when the site is free. but ohhhh is it upsetting.

@jbfitnss67 welcome to the group. looks like you had a great week. i could have sworn youhad an introduction on here yesterday. did it just disapear or am i going crazy? please tell us about yourself.

@ljdanny I love your December goals. I am also proud of you for making time for you amongst all the struggles with you son. you are a very strong woman.

@Mandi5512 agreed. that is the great thing about this. you can always start over. good for you for getting right back on track.

@lenka1 wow. you had a great day yesterday. good job.

@carlsoda woooo whoo. good job on getting all that exercise in. you are a rock star!

@twyla77 the scale is fickle B****. it is probably just water retention from working the muscles. don't you worry. just keep doing what your doing.

@sleepymom5 oh crap I forgot to roll the dice. I rolled a 1.

It was another great day! I did the yoga challenge and some additional cardio to work off the pie. I was just under calories!

@sleepymom5 @cyndiesstuff I'm willing to be a part of the step challenge if you need me, but I don't have a fitness tracker. My phone keeps track, but the steps often look low because I only have it on me half the time. I'm getting a Fitbit for Christmas (so excited), so I will be a better contributor then!

@eyesopennow and @Shirin_K you too are in! I love it. @eyesopennow, mike you have to start sleep stepping if you want to keep up with me. it takes incredible balance! that's why I am participating in the yoga session.

So we just need 2 more people now for our 10 member team.

    Good Afternoon Team,

First, I want to apologize for slow posting but this cold has kept me on my back for the past couple of days. My name is James, I am single 51-year-old residing here in Dunedin, Florida. For most of my life, I have always stayed in shape due to my sports career. Now a 100 lbs. heavier, I find hard to believe that I ever played competitive sports. Along with tired of hearing “What Happened to You” from my family and friends I am here ready to take my health back.
I started this Journey June 05, 2018 at a weight of an uncomfortable 331.8 lbs. Today, December 2, 2018 I come to you at 330.2 lbs. my goal weigh is 240 lbs. at 15% body fat by December 1, 2019.

I have also been dealing with some shoulder issues that has limited what and how much I could lift. I originally thought that maybe I had torn my rotator cuff. Unfortunately, No such luck there. It turns out that I am suffering with osteoporosis of the shoulder. And of course, my Orthopedist is recommending a total shoulder replacement. So, while I trust my doctor, I am going to get another opinion. Afterwards I will make a decision of what’s next entering the new year. Until then I will have to alter my approach this weight loss journey. No matter what I am, going to reach my Goal.

I am looking so forward to following and being a part of each your already incredible self and fitness transformation. If there is anything you need please feel free to ask because I am committed to having your back. Let’s have a Great month of December!!!!

Welcome @jbfitnss67. you have come to the right place. I am glad you are here. what is your strategy Jim? are you counting calories? what does your exercise look like? and there are plenty of exercises you can do that won't use you shoulders. your probably gonna have to stop lifting for now. but you got this. we are truly going to make this a December to remember!!

Yesterday was a little much. Not gonna lie.. moving a little slow today. Been a long time since this body has done any yoga. Felt like a discombobulated pretzel. Did well on water which is one of my December goals. Dinners are planned for the next few nights. Still haven't decorated. It either happens today or the totes are going back in the garage. Hoping day 2 of yoga helps these sore muscles. Its trying to snow but the dogs are not going to let me get away with not walking them.

@cyndiesstuff Yes, count me in on the step challenge

    Have a great day everyone!

@nstephenson01 sorry but day 2 is not much easier but it does get easier hang in there. I remember how much harder this was when I did it in November. So yes after 30 days you will feel more balanced, stronger and more flexible. I remember her starting out pretty strong but soon there are shorter days and she does mix it with easier workouts. But there are some that have me moaning and swearing under my breath. Hang in there!

Yoga...also I forgot to mention that walking Lula Mae this week she some how got twisted on her leash. She had me tangled and doing a dance to stay upright. I really think the yoga kept me balanced and on my toes and prevented a face plant.

    Daily check in Sunday
    food-on target
    water-good I think

    Yoga-Day 2

Had a nice day. Need to find a way to hang out with wifey more often.
so this morning I struggled out of bed but finally made it to the kitchen. Started the day with 16 oz of lemon water. Packed some fresh pineapple and raspberries for breakfast. Made a huge salad for both me and wifey. packed apples and dates and fresh figs for snacks. Also steamed some organic baby potatoes to go with salad.
Then...I knocked out my day 3 yoga. I am planning to go walking the second I walk in the door. Today is day 1 of my cleanse. I am doing well. Not too big of a transition of what I normally do but it is more food more often than I am used to but I am prepared.

I steamed my new red skirt and laid out all my clothes last night. I have a new smaller black turtle neck and my black boots an white floral necklace. I look really cute today. But the really amazing thing that I have noticed this week is how very comfortable all my clothes are. I too @sleepymom5 used to squeeze in, pull and tug during the day. This is a really nice place to be.

I have been thinking of this team so much. There is so much great activity. I may not be reaching out to you all individually as much as I like but I think about each and every team member and am rooting or each of you!

thank you @sleepymom5 and @cyndiesstuff for doing such a great job as captains! You both are so caring and motivating.

I have also been thinking about some great tips that have been working for me. How do you all feel about a TIPSY TUESDAY? If you feel so inclined think about some tips and suggestions that have really worked for you on your journey. Have you found a great idea that helps you with food prep? (I have...check back tomorrow). What about ways to get in your exercise? How to get a good nights sleep? What works for you? How do you successfully navigate the Holidays? If you have some great ideas, let's post them tomorrow and learn from each other.
