Hey y’all, I’m quite busy helping one of my daughter-in-laws who is struggling with a back problems and also has an eight, almost nine, month old baby. When I’m able I’ll write some catch up posts. But in the mean time I will read when I’m able. This little one is already very mobile and weighs around 20 pounds I was told. so I’m getting all kinds of exercise 💪🏃♀️exercise!
PinkyPan, I do hope that your recovery is speedy. I’m sorry this injury is painful. Hugs 🤗.

Ok I missed Move it Monday! Well, I didn't really miss it, I have just moved it to Saturday! :laugh: This has been a crazy week, but it should be the end of them for a while, so I am getting back on track! I need 16.5 miles to beat last January and I am going to get them!!!

Texasgardnr Oh no I feel so sorry for your daughter-in-law as back problems and an active 8 month old are not a good combination. My daughter-in-law was 8 months pregnant over Christmas and even though my granddaughter is 4, I took over a lot of her care as she just exhausts her mother, who also has problems with her back right now. The good news is that chasing around children increases our milage substantially!
My plan is to do 2 miles a day through the end of the month and then get back up to 3 so I shall be posting much more often again. I am in training for May when I go to Netherlands to help take care of what will then be my 5 year-old granddaughter and 8-10 week old grandson, as well as walking my beloved canals! I need my endurance and strength for that and I also need to be missing a few pounds!!! :grumble:

Finishd the 4th week of the 6 week 2019 challenge,started following Leslies walking program back in Sept. Of 2018 but didnt do it every day, now i am doing it everyday,haven't lost any weight but i can tell that i am firming up.2

I actually managed to do a Move It Monday! :laugh: We are in the midst of a monster snow storm and then it is going to plunge below 0. I absolutely love this, so thank you Canada! We have had some snow, but then we get 40 degree temps and it melts and makes a mess. Canadian air will make sure we keep these 10 inches for awhile! It's energizing for sure!

Winter has arrived in SW Michigan and she's super angry. Blowing snow with whiteout conditions and temps are going drop below zero and the wind chill is scary. I'm huddling inside and grateful I work for myself and don't have to travel to work.2

That does sound scary. Living in the deep south, every snow (and there certainly aren't many) is cause of celebration and buying of milk and bread. But that is only because we don't have to deal with much. But living with it for months and having to get around in it; that can't be much fun. Grab some hot chocolate (if it fits your macro's ) and curl up on the sofa under a nice warm blanket. Or even better, do a Walk with Leslie. That is IF you still have power. Hope it blows through soon.2 -

Polar Vortex day 3. We didn't leave the house today. I'm barely dressed but am watching all the blowing snow from my sofa covered in blankets, downing cups upon cups of tea. We have record lows and I think records wind chills. Hubby started the car a little while ago just to make sure it works. Schools here are starting to cancel classes for the rest of the week. No mail until Friday, maybe. The Winter Warning was supposed to end at 1 pm tomorrow but has been extended to 7 pm tomorrow.
Somehow, I did manage to meet my monthly goal of 70 miles, so yay on that. Can spring start in February???1 -

Well, Canada came through a bit more intensely than I might have asked for, but it's all good. It is currently -13F (-25C) at my house in MI! :laugh: The Post Office is not even delivering the mail so you know something has to be crazy since they deliver in sleet, freezing rain, hail and all other manner of terrible weather. We are even getting instructions from our furnace companies about how to manage our heat to put the least amount of strain on our furnaces so they make it through. A lump of salt that fell off the running board of my truck has frozen to the floor of my garage! :noway: However, I actually have this one beat as my husband and I were in Old Forge NY in 1979 snowmobiling when the temperature dropped to -52F (-46.7C). When it is that cold, the air is very still so there is very little sound. We had to walk to the Firehouse for food and we could not hear our boots crunch on the snow or hear the sound of our snowmobile pants and jackets rustling as we were walking. It was surreal!!
To make all this even more bizarre, we are expecting temperatures of 47 degrees here for Super Bowl Sunday-that is only 4 days from now!! We'll need to get out our shorts and swimsuits to cool off from all that unexpected heat!! The good news is, there is not much to do but workout with Leslie to get warm!
Stay warm Deeder and get your summer clothes ready for Sunday! :laugh: It is going to be a zoo at the stores on Friday when every one can get out again so be careful! Cabin Fever does strange things to people-especialy mothers of school age children who have unexpectedly been home all week!! :laugh:
