We enjoy having a truck. The interior is well equipped and comfortable. DH has had a truck for about 15 years. The only problem is we drive it to FL and that’s our only vehicle there. It’s awkward if we want to take anyone with us like to dinner. We’ve talked about getting a used car and leaving it down there. Maybe we’ll do something about that next winter. DH is a big DIY guy so he brings a lot of tools back and forth. So we really need the caro space of a truck. 6 years ago, his truck bit the dust just as we arrived in FL. We ended up losing a RAV 4. You should have seen DH in Lowe’s parking lot, sawing lumber into shorter lengths so it would fit in the car. Plus we had to leave many items We brought down in the truck. The car had smaller cargo space and limited what we could bring.
DH is also a total do-it-yourselfer. Between that and having worked at a hospital for so many years - where he HAD to go in regardless of the weather - I've always been shocked he didn't buy at least a 4-wheel drive. He used to borrow my Explorer for that but never switched from his tiny compact cars.
Once when my car was at the dealer I rented a HUGE Toyota truck. Was fun for a couple days. But I had trouble getting in the thing.

Having a truck would be useful when the nearest good donation place is over an hour away. There is a place in this humble town but they don't have good hours. As a result, people dump their bags of goodies at its door after hours. At night, a person or persons have been seen going through the bags and taking what they want, and possibly selling it at a roadside sale.
One reason I want to declutter now is I still have the opportunity to sell stuff for CROM and don't have to worry about taking it somewhere to donate. Just have to worry about somewhere to store.0 -
Jean - that would be our cats all right!0

I’m surprised your DH didn’t go for a truck with a plow since he had to make work regardless of weather. We have running boards on the truck sad that helps getting in. I could get in without them but it makes the process a lot easier. We have the small back seat which was the cats area. The two carriers fit in there when we had to take them to the vet or other places. People could sit there but it’s not a lot of leg room. When we travel, we put luggage and other things we need encountered back there.0

DH loves to do favors for our neighbor so said neighbor will take stuff for DH in his truck. I'm with you and not understanding why DH never wanted one. He drives these tiny little Toyotas.
We just been running around the house like crazy because we couldn't find Sammy. Anywhere. All of a sudden he comes strolling into the room. Geesh!
Saw the dental hygienist today. "My" dentist was out so she said I could see the other one or wait until next time and see "my" dentist. I said I'd see the other one. Much younger guy than me - comes in the room and says "hi, sweetheart". I felt like taking him aside, saying "with my attorney hat on, you do KNOW you shouldn't be saying that, right?" I was appalled. Next time I'll pass. If I remember correctly the two of them are cousins and are now in charge since the "founder" has retired. They also moved the office so I now need to get on the Baltimore Beltway to get to them. PLUS they aren't Blue Cross participating providers (i.e. I'd pay less if I switched to a participating provider). They do NOT want to get on my bad side. Luckily for them I love the hygienist.

I read this op-ed piece and could make NO sense of it:

Then I read this article:

I make Key Lime pie quite often. It’s one of the easiest pies ever! I buy Key lime juice in a bottle, because I have no patience for juicing the limes, which is a huge time saver. The recipe is on the bottle, and it’s even easier than the one above, though probably has more calories.0

I had my annual well woman checkup yesterday, and today I’ve been figuring out how to get my prescription for Estrogel filled in Canada. None of the Medicare drug plans cover it and my out of pocket cost here is $140 for a 2 month supply. The exact same drug costs $47 from a Canadian pharmacy, and $10 of that is the shipping charge. Definitely more hoops to jump through to get it filled, but for that kind of savings it is worth it.0
-
Try Good RX website. I’ve gotten meds with their coupons that were cheaper than my insurance. One was over $200 and the Good RX price was $22.0
-
Helene, the Good Rx price was $112.11, so getting it filled in Canada is still a much better deal. Just takes longer and is a little more cumbersome than just running down to my local pharmacy.0

I have to feed this morning and then go get my hair done. People keep bugging me - "why don't you just go grey?" Heh, if I'm not ready to be grey, I'm not ready to be grey. Nothing wrong with it, I'm just not ready!!0

Maryanne, I’m with you on the gray hair. Most of my gray is around the hairline and it’s fairly easy to blend it with blond highlights. I figure I’m not embracing the gray until I’m at least 50% gray all over. In the meantime, I get it highlighted every 3-4 months.0

We're pretty sure I'm 100% grey/silver but since I've been coloring it so long, we're not completely sure.
Those grey kittens are adorable!!!0 -
Ditto on the grey kittens. I stopped coloring about 15 years ago. The hair around my face is mostly grey. Surprisingly, the back of my head is very dark hair. I like the contrast and it’s zero work.0

Someone's selling bumper stickers about that "no female reporter in MY car" candidate:
Lin-Manuel Miranda's comment:
This guy wants to be governor? Of a STATE? With women in it??

I wonder what the candidate’s mother thinks of his treatment of women?0
