To no one's great surprise the orange cheeto's Baltimore bashing was front page of the Sunday Baltimore Sun. Also making mentions elsewhere. This one struck me as particularly apt.

Something Trump-Bashed Baltimore Area Would Like To Ditch: ‘Kushnerville’ Homes

How interesting about Jared’s slumlord reputation. Amazing how he can continue to avoid prosecution for the violations.

    Not to mention this:

A few footnotes:

1. Kushner asked for a refi loan; Qatar refused.
2. 30 days later, the US joined a Saudi naval blockade of Qatar
3. Qatar lent Kushner the money
4. Pam - you're right; that couldn't be much more blatant.

My one brother who always wished he lived in NYC told me that the trumps and kushners aren't the only NY real estate developers who should be in jail but aren't but they certainly are the most public example.

the orange cheeto nominates yet another sexual predator for an important appointment post and, guess what, his cronies in congress are fine with it:

Chris Cillizza: "Donald Trump has always had a bit of Walter Mitty in him. But on Monday morning, in a speech to first responders and others impacted by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, he took his fantastical memory of himself to new and not-at-all-appropriate heights.

    "I was down there also, but I'm not considering myself a first responder," Trump said. "But I was down there. I spent a lot of time down there with you.""{

He must have gone incognito. He didn’t show up on any of the news coverage. Is nothing beneath his boasting? I guess not.

Can you picture the orange cheeto if he got even a little dust on him? Yeah, he spent time at ground zero. Maybe to check on his property(ies) and then run home.

I thought he claimed to be across the river, watching Muslims celebrate the towers falling. Maybe I’m remembering that wrong.

We are back from our visit with DH’s family and celebrating his birthday. SIL was sick with bronchitis and really didn’t feel well while we were there, so we didn’t do a lot. She usually has all kinds of projects for us to do, so this was kind of nice for us, though I’m sorry she was sick.

I spent the day yesterday catching up on laundry and today I will go and buy some groceries and get my second Shingrex vaccination. Such fun to look forward to, lol!

FYI — if you get a steroid shot, you have to wait 4 weeks from the date of the shot to get any vaccinations. I went to get my second Shingrix shot and was told I have to wait because I got a steroid shot in my hip on the 18th. Will have to try again in 3 weeks or so.

I remember the muslims celebrating story. I don't remember where he said he was. But it doesn't matter - just about everything he says is a lie.

DH is going to get his second shingrix tomorrow too! Fun all around.

Love the cat pancake. I had to show this one to DH. He’s a big cat fan. He got a laugh from it.

You’re right about his comments about watching Muslims in NJ celebrating. That was shown to be a lie then. I guess when you tell so many lies, it’s hard to keep them straight.

TRUMP: "I am the least racist person there is anywhere in the world ... Al Sharpton -- now he is a racist. What I've done for African Americans in two and a half years -- no president has been able to do anything like it."

DH got his second Shingrix shot. The pharmacist proceeded to tell him all the symptoms SHE had when she got it. I'd have been appalled. Studies have shown that people who know the symptoms are more likely to get the symptoms. I very carefully avoid knowing the symptoms. So much for "trained professionals". Geesh!

Our Indy LOVES the cat porch. This time of year she's out there most mornings. So I knew I wouldn't be able to get her for her appointment Saturday morning and instead I'd have to get her ahead of time and drop her off. I can be a really really nervous wreck when they're due for rabies (because I do not WANT to know what happens if you go in after their due date and they bite someone. So last evening I had a chance and I grabbed her, put her in the carrier and drove to the vet. Only 18 miles but at that time of day a LONG drive. But we lucked out. They had a cancellation today at noon so she'll only have to stay the one night. And even luckier it was with "my" vet, not the new one who so far hasn't impressed me (I love, love, love the other new one but she's already on maternity leave; dispelling the notion you can't get a new job if you're (very) pregnant).

My decluttering continues. I've taken multiple bags of clothes to donate. Have an entire (small) storage unit filled with items donated to CROM. Have an entire closet upstairs filled with items donated to CROM (I was going to empty it out and offer to DH but then decided it was ridiculous to encourage his hoarding and I was going to use it at least another year).

Also have boxes and boxes of donated cat show stuff in the "main" CROM storage unit. Not to mention boxes and boxes of recycled paper and bags and bags of trash (all of which I've had to sneak out so DH doesn't freak; he truly does have the hoarding gene).

I've got a lot of personal, CROM and work filing to do so there will be more recycled paper but I think most of the stuff to be donated or junked is out of here. YEAH! Well, except for the storage space we call the "rat hole" but I'm not sure I'm going to get to that this summer. (And once September hits the summer project has to be pretty much over).

Right now I'm working on framing all the prints and original art I've accumulated over the years so CROM can sell it and someone can enjoy it. The walls are full here; foolish to hang onto it all at this point. I measured everything and ordered frames on ebay and amazon.

    One of my favorite shirts.

A hilarious Amazon review: I can tell the "math" people by the look on their face when they read the shirt. If they smile, they get it. If I get a blank look they were probably an Art major.

    Love that shirt, Maryanne!

I got my hair colored and cut yesterday. The cut was especially needed, but I’m not sure yet if I’m going to like it. I asked for and got long layers cut into it, so it will take me awhile to figure out how to style it. Today I am getting my mammogram and bone density tests done. Tomorrow I have physical therapy. It’s been a relatively busy week for me, lol. I don’t usually have appointments outside the house every day.

DH had his cardiology appointment yesterday. He had an echocardiogram in June. Things looked pretty good except his blood work showed a higher level of potassium than she likes. He was high normal. She’s going to try him on a mild diuretic to see how he does. He goes back in September to see how he tolerates it and if it helps. We need to be a little stricter on sodium too.

We both saw the chiropractor for a 2 week follow up. We both were misaligned the first time. We hadn’t seen anyone since April and then had a 1500 car ride home. We were much better yesterday and will go back to once a month for maintenance. I have a massage this afternoon. My massage therapist moved last spring so she’s on the Cape. I don’t have to fight the bridge traffic anymore.

Pam, I hope you like the layers. I have short layers and find they give my hair a bit of lift and volume.
Maryanne, you are doing an inspiring job with the decluttering.

Pam - I remember how hectic the physical therapy weeks seemed. Added to all my usual trips here and there!

Helene - good luck to your hubby on his new meds!

I skimmed the postings; I wasn't missed. I've been busy so when it came to time to rest, I just ignored many forums. First day for students is August 13.

Jean, I can’t believe how early your kids go back to school. Around here, it’s usually after Labor Day. If the holiday is late, it might be early September. I hope you had some fun during the summer.

Jean - I hope you got to have some fun in that busyness!!! Students starting August 13. Wow! Whether school should start before Labor Day has been a major brouhaha in Maryland. I think (but wouldn't swear) that the law still is after Labor Day.

    Those are hilarious!!

This business of starting school early began when the Legislature said all instructional days had to be made up if cancelled because of weather or other reason. The first year that happened we had schools going to the last of June in order to make up days. That interferred with planned vacations, college classes for renewal, etc. plus taking away Spring break. This past year, it worked great as there were few weather closures so non-instructional days were converted to instructional days.

First semester was over by Christmas break with second semester starting upon return from Christmas break. It was a very clean break as finals were not waiting kids upon their return. They also go out before Memorial Day. We have a full week off for Thanksgiving week as well as Christmas. Thanksgiving week is also deer hunting time which creates attendance problems. Since a certain percentage of students must be in attendance for it to be counted as an instructional day, just taking the week off solved that problem not to mention teachers who like to deer hunt.
