the day yesterday started out good. i got up early prepared for the day, went to the grocery and did the prep cooking for the week. after lunch i though, hmm... a snack is in order which would have been fine except that it didn't stop at one snack. oh well, moving on. i am a work in progress. i had one good day over the weekend. that is better than last week. just have to work on breaking that bad habit. i only have a few minutes this morning. I have to got get my yearly mammogram at 6:45 am. one thing i hate about living in the country. everything is so far away. 30 minute drive to the hospital and then 90 minutes to work. self care at it's finest!! I must really love me!!

@nstephenson01 shoveling snow is ALOT of exercise. need to put the brakes on and make an eating plan you can live with. glad no jury duty. if it was summer it would be different. i would love to go and listen to a case and be involved in that.

sorry for the late weigh-in, yesterday was the first day in about a week that i was feeling back to normal, and i had a volunteering shift then had to catch up on laundry, house-work, grocery shopping etc that i missed while sick!

@lennoncpa I know what you mean, it is like the only way to relieve the anxiety is to eat. and then it's out the window. bad habits are hard to break. keep practicing!!

@sleepymom5 I want you to really think about your day at the shore. find one or two things that went really well. and praise yourself. you said you did better that what you normally would. what was it that was better.

I did well after I got back from my trip, I did some paperwork for work, had a stuffed pepper for dinner and did get a lot of exercise in. Today I have to do some more from home and then maybe head to a co workers house for some more instruction depends on the weather. It is snowing! Not a lot but it is supposed to continue. Then as usual, it will turn to rain and be gone tomorrow. Got to get an early start so I will check in later!

@cyndiesstuff One day at a time, you got this. Today is a new day! Good luck at the old mamo, ugh! Good time to listen to your podcast though! (the car ride, not during the mammogram Lol!) I actually did better with "real" food, I didn't snack just had what they had for dinner and made good choices, I had two more drinks than I planned but it was in the small champagne glasses so that wasn't bad...it was the desserts and guess where we were standing...right next to it. I think if it was cake or pie or something big that needed to be cut and put on a plate, I would have been ok, it was all bite sized little things...and candy sour patch kids and prosecco go well together.

Good morning everyone, I hope you all have been well. I have not been focused like I should be, October I was focused then the Holidays rolled around and I got off track and haven't really got on track since. I know what I need to do to be successful in this journey but I guess I don't want it bad enough to actually work at it. It is easy to be comfortable where I am it is harder to have to plan all my meals and schedule my workouts to ensure I get them done. I always feel so much better and accomplished when I eat my meals, drink a galllon of water and complete my workouts but being comfortable has consumed me. I have to do better!6

Well not my best week but that's okay, I'll get back on track. So tired of this cold, snowy weather. Looking forward to when we can get out and move around easier.

Yesterday was 20 days in a row of sticking to my calorie and exercise goals and I’m feeling great about what I’m doing. The scale has not moved in 6 days though… annoying, but I’m not going to stress about it. Today I’m really going to work on getting more water as that has been a bit low.
This past weekend was a pretty typical one – shopping, cleaning, made some good healthy meals, exercised, played with the kids. Yesterday, we got outside to enjoy the beautiful snow we’ve had. Kids went sledding and we helped them build a fort. Just walking through all that deep snow was great exercise!

Well, a 2 lb gain but it will be short lived. I had an excessive amount of dairy the last few days and boy I'm paying for it. Not only with weight gain, but with puffy eyes and sinus issues. When will I ever learn...likely never but oh well I was dairy free all day yesterday so things will start to improve!8 -
@sleepymom5 mamo done. I hate those but what ever lol. my weekend was a little more than half good. that is a success for me!!
@gottagetthisdown you got this! pick up the pieces and lets make a new plan. something about the old plan was not sustainable. you need something you can live with. 2019 is your year. you will figure this out this time for good.
@jedaschultz that's just a small gain. buckle down this week. you can get it back under 200. this is tough but you are tougher!
@Shirin_K omgosh.... 20 days on your string. that is wonderful. don't you worry about that scale it will move. just think of how healthy you are getting. I loved playing in the snow with the kids.
@carlsoda ohhh bummer. I am sorry dairy does that to you. but you know how this works, jump right back and track and you will feel better and the weight will come off.3 -

The below zero weather really got to me and I went way over on calories over the weekend but I ended it with a nutritious dinner. I have to want to eat healthy and I just didn't want to. The scale is showing it. Glad I don't have jury duty this morning as our roads are so crappy. Really grateful that Hubby drove me this morning to the grocery store in his bohemoth truck and could help with the over-loaded shopping cart in the snow. As we were leaving the house we saw a moose trotting down the road. Reminded me of the show Northern Exposure. Too bad I couldn't get my phone out quick enough to get a picture. Seattle is sending several inches of snow our way... not very neighborly of them LOL. At least its a balmy 28 degrees! Dinners are planned and we're stocked up for the week to ride out this storm. Experiencing some shoulder pain so I'm taking a mini break from strength training. No doubt its due to all the shoveling. Just need the pain to calm down a bit. Made it out for a short walk already today so this week is starting out much better.

Although my food diary isn't completely white it should be, I have managed to meet my step goal every day since February 1st.
I figure small changes at a time but I do seem to be better at estimating how much I can eat, even if I don't always log everything.
I'm really happy for this because sometimes I wonder if I can ever stop writing and logging, so this gives me hope.
I'm still very happy with my galaxy watch, although I do miss those daily and weekly challenges on Fitbit

We are going to be getting hit with a snow storm tomorrow into Wednesday. I hate snow. Went to visit my son this afternoon and he text me and said not to come back tonight, hes going to sleep now, um it's 4 o'clock kid. I hate not going back to see him until tomorrow. Anyway I went food shopping and got back on my food plan today so go me. Hopefully I have another loss this week but I will take a maintain with the way I ate over the weekend.5

@gottagetthisdown - “I guess I don’t want it bad enough to actually work at it” really struck a chord with me. I don’t believe for one minute the issue is your not wanting it bad enough. You just haven’t found the right plan / started making the right choices to get to your goals yet. You got this! I have been listening to a podcast called Phit N Phat. She did an episode that directly addressed these statements we often make about not wanting the goal enough. I think it was in Episode. Maybe give it a listen. Our long drive today got off to a good start (we left the house ahead of schedule, when does that happen??), but it soon became apparent that two (and now all three) of my girls have the stomach flu. Two diarrhea accidents in the car, three girls sitting with throw up bags in their laps, lots of extra stops. Ugh!! Poor girls. They seem better this evening and all three ate small amounts for a snack after all day without eating. My calories for today were really low too due to being with them in the car for 11hours. I just ate a cookie and a small chocolate. Hoping tomorrow’s drive is much less trying. Good night all.8 -

@nstephenson01 You really get clobbered in the winter! Are your winters usually like this or is this typical for you? I can see why it could lead to eating more when you are stuck in the house. Glad you have dinners planned and food in the house so you can stay put! Stay safe and warm. Hope your shoulder feels better with some rest.
@ihp2015 I am trying to hit my step goal of 10K each day this month although today isn't looking that good. Lol! We do miss you over at fitbit but I am glad you love your new watch.
@ljdanny When does he get out of the hospital? Hope all the running around is over soon. We are supposed to be getting snow but it is kinda wimpering out. We always end up getting to warm or it gets warm right after. I would like one good snow storm for the season...Now that you are back on the eating plan I bet you will see a loss. You did last time and you were only a few days into it at that point (if I remember correctly)

Did the best I could with what I had today. Forgot we had a curriculum night so I got a half size chickpea and arugula salad with lamb from grecko grille. Estimated as best I could, but not really sure if I'm under or over.
My middle schooler is being exactly that, with double the drama, and after freaking out over forgetting the parent night, no parents actually showed up for my classes.
On top of all that I've been clumsy AF all day. Walked into the corners of three separate desks. Opened a door on my hand. Banged my knee on a chair leg.
Everything hurts and I'm dying. Gotta get up early to do notes for my morning classes. I just have to be done with the day.
But on the plus side, all those separate stressors didn't make me abandon my goal, so... yay me?
