@cyndiesstuff Thanks for sharing your inner dialogue at dinner. It was comforting and inspiring to see!
@Mrsbell8well I'm so sorry you had your headache but I'm thrilled you were able to address it and that you're motivated by your research!

did really well yesterday. i am feeling strong. i have been learning a lot about who i am and my relationship with food. i have slowly been working on changing my thought habits. it is not going to be easy. these habits are deeply ingrained into the way i think. but like with any bad habit. it can be changed. if i could quit smoking, i can quit this. i had tons of credit worthy acts yesterday, but my biggest was no snacking in the evening. it is getting easier to tell ED to shut up. which is comforting.
I was asked by a friend, "What do i want to feel about food when i am done?" wow, what a question. I thought about it for some time and then told her "Calm, i wanted to feel Calm" Then she said the most profound thing (she is so smart), she said "Then you need to start building that into your life now." So that is the question of the day. Spend some time really thinking about this Team. Even journal about it.
What do you want to feel about food when your done?
@GingerPwr well we are going to put it to the test tonight. We are going to my favorite pizza place. I will be successful. I have made a plan and i will stick to it. I will not let myself down.
@nstephenson01 lol STHD girl!!
@lennoncpa isn't that the truth. but that is just a pound. you have been so busy. i am sure that has something to do with it. has your eating been on track? i have often thought, you know i can put on 5 pound in a week with no problem, why oh why does it take a month and a half to take it back off. it is just what it is. some times tough to swallow but a fact of life. keep your head up girl. you are doing great.
@lenka1 don't beat yourself up about it girl. you made a decision when you were there to eat what you wanted and that is what you did. now right back on track and drink your water. there is no giving up.
@DananaNanas wooo whoooo. back into the 130's. that a girl, how are you doing?
@FieryVixsin good job, that is almost a pound. way to go!! the 170's are right around the corner. how are you doing?

What do you want to feel about food “
Gratitude
With every bite I am so grateful for the health and nourishment I receive.

My mother’s belly gets bigger and bigger. She is like a giddy naughty girl whipping up one “fattening feast” after another. Lots of fried food, foods dripping in butter, followed by sugar coated globs of plenty.
She bought a scale 3 weeks ago and daily said she is going to diet.
But here’s what I have been thinking as I listen to mom and others here on this team “does a feast have to mean fattening?” Aren’t there a lot of nutritious delicious options that fit into every diet plan? I have been on this journey over 200 days. I have had every kind of celebration imaginable and “feasted” on some amazing food and treats. And all of them have been within my dietary boundaries.
I don’t know...but it seems like the celebrations that sabotage us become sad occasions when we feel terrible and see the scale gleefully leaping upward.
I can attest to an alternative type of choice when we celebrate. And I refuse to feel deprived. I enjoy all celebrations...and I have never gained a single pound from a single one of them. Just something to think about.7 -

Not happy bc I was showing 2-2.5lbs loss past 2-3 days but I screwed up last night by eating too much while out with husband.
I worked extra hard this week, intense workouts, low carb and it was nicely showing on scale.
But then I erased it last night. Whatever.
New day. New week.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
REMEMBER: eating a lot and bad is not worth those 10 minutes of “happiness”
Stay strong!!! Eat with brain involved!
I’m off to lift and do some treadmill session til I’m sore.7 -

@cyndiesstuff I didn’t even realize that was a milestone that I had reached happy to see the number but it’s been rough.

Vacation week drawing to a close. One more night here in Florida. Getting ready to head into the swimming pool.
From a calories in /calories out perspective I have really struggled with lack of calorie info. I have been doing great with knowing my daily calories and sticking to it. I am having much trouble with estimating from these menus and trying to eat till satisfied. My type A brain is way past ready to get back to my food scale and menu plan!!
Walked 14 miles in the last few days. Felt great and had all the energy I needed. What a big win for me. This never would have happened a few months and 40+ pounds ago.
In a complete side note (and maybe a bit crazy) - does anyone else find themselves “telling” the team wins or losses in their head? Sort of like planning a post that may never get posted. I have been doing that and find it very helpful to “share” with a group who gets it and has similar goals - even when time gets short and I never post it.
Had to try the 6 kinds of butter beer while immersed in all things Harry Potter. My favorite was the hot butter beer. So good!
