Yayayayayyay me! I did it. stayed on track on saturday. having the plan really work good. old boy even tried to sabatoge me with half his snickers bar. nope. not gonna do it. if i want to be the new cyndie of my dreams, this is what she would do. I got a lot done yesterday. exercise, cleaned house, made grocery list, made food plan for the week, did the laundry, took care of the old folks, took care of my sons cell phone problem. yes. look at all those credit worthy acts. i am building the new cyndie. today i grocery shop and prep. that is really all that is on my agenda today. i will stay on track. it is only one day. i can do this for one day.
@Mrsbell8well you might be more hungry because of the running. that burns a lot of energy. you can either feed that energy or not. if you do not feed it, you will be hungry. it's okay to be hungry sometimes. it's not an emergency. if you feed it, your good as well. because exercise energy is extra, like a bonus!! oooohhh and your new project with your mom sounds like grand fun. wish i was there, but you can channel your inner cyndie.
@eyesopennow yes. shut up ED. we don't need you no more. your not helping. punch ED in the throat Mike. it feels good. i mean really do it. if you don't have a punching bag, use a pillow, put a sticker on it that says ED and then beat the crap out of it. do it every time you want to snack and your not hungry! i will take a picture of my ED later and post it for you. it seriously helps. Todays the day mike. it is your day. it is the day you put ED in his place.
@GingerPwr good job on making a plan. look at the new you go!
@Zumba_Luvah It sounds like you need to take a real good look at your plan. on any weight loss plan, in the beginning you are going to feel hungry. your body is used to the other amount of food and it will rebel. Are you recording all your food? Are you getting active? I sent you a friend request. Add me and let me look at your food log. I will try to help. This is hard but i promise you that you can figure this out. it is a learning process. let us help. come here everyday and read the posts. there is a lot of really good info here. share what you are doing. and above all, for crying out loud, smile. your beautiful!!
@lenka1 Hey that is a half pound. We will take it. remember the closer we get to goal the slower it goes. your doing great. and your right. that scale weight really does not mean a whole lot. next week, it it! you will be at a healthy bmi. yes you will.
@kirsten11872 you got this, you had a big loss last week. this is just a temporary adjustment. you know what to do girl! keep your head up and pat yourself on the back. you have not givin up.
@sleepymom5 ohhh no. i will pray for your friend and her family. and as tough as it is to watch some one ruin their health. just like with any other addiction, they have to want to change.
@Cafelelia i am glad you are feeling better. be careful. so did you like the air fryer? i have been tempted to buy one. just not sure. i am glad you find my post encouraging. i just know, if i am feeling it, someone else is feeling it too. we help one another. i have a compost pile! i make my own dirt with the waste.
@ljdanny omgosh, prayers do come true. i have been praying for your family. maybe try taking healthy food with you to the hospital. i know my healthy snacks in my backpack were a life saver when my mom was in the hospital last year. you get your Zumba on girl. and give your son a big hug from me. he is soooo strong!

okay team we had a great week one. ups and downs but we are all still here making it work. Lets make week two a success. what will you do this week? one thing to further you to your goals. success is the small daily changes you add one on to the other.

@cyndiesstuff I can so relate to the evening snacks. It just makes me so angry that I can have a perfect day and blow it in the last couple of hours before bedtime. I will promise myself not to do it, but then I get a certain food in my mind and can’t stop thinking about it until I finally eat whatever it is!! So crazy.2

Good morning all!
Another snowy day here...gosh when will it end? Monday night into Tuesday we are supposed to get a bunch and more again on Thursday. Roads are still crappy from our last Thursday snowstorm, but on the plus side I am doing food prep today. I have a couple of low carb recipes I am going to make for breakfast and snacks and I found some new snacks at Whole Foods that are low carb. I also am going to make a nice roast beef for dinner tonight and a bunch of turnip fries for though the week, they are delicious and super low carb too!

We're stuck in a system of below zero temperatures and frequent periods of snow. My main physical activity has been shoveling snow but being outside is just plain miserable. I can't muster up the enthusiasm to go snowshoeing when the cold takes my breath away. Eating hasn't been totally off the rails but I'm consuming more carbs & sodium than usual. Whatever keeps me warm LOL Weight is climbing upward each day tho... ughhhh. On a bright note jury duty for tomorrow has been canceled. I was really stressing about how I would manage to dig out to get to town. So relieved to have that off my mind as we have snow in the forecast all week long. I'll be hibernating until Spring!
Reading everyone's posts is a nice diversion from my cabin fever. This group keeps me from completely throwing in the battle of the bulge towel. Tonight a healthy but belly warming dinner is planned.
