WEIGHT NO MORE -- February 2019

This morning my daughter said she was frustrated cuz she wanted to lose weight faster. She’s doing great. She’s lost 12 pounds since January 1st. She said she really wanted to lose her belly. I told her mine was gone. I lift my shirt. She said “dang mom, you can definitely rock a bikini “. First time I’ve ever heard that sentence. Feeling very proud.
Good luck this weekend everyone. @lenka1 is correct. These celebrations are such a short time period. What happens if we celebrate AND stay on plan?
We wear raspberry jeans and bikinis.5 -
Not logging today because my oldest turned 18 this week. He's my valentine baby. He had his rite of passage today with his dad, granddad, uncles, and a couple of family friends - they all went to have a cigar together.
Back home, we had steak, split baked potatoes, and roasted asparagus, peppers, and mushrooms. I've had a vodka and diet tonic and 2 glasses of red wine. I made a frozen mocha cheesecake and am about to have a sliver of that.
Some days you work hard and exercise hard and measure. Other days you celebrate life and love and just don't think too hard about food. My oldest has hit a milestone and I'm celebrating.
Love you all and I'll be back on track tomorrow!8 -

Check in for: Friday
Ate to satisfied: No pizza got me
Water: 60 oz

First of lets talk about the wins yesterday. i exercised and got my step in, i was on plan for breakfast and lunch, i drank my water, i made the meal plan for the week and made the grocery list. Then this....... Well i need to practice that pizza plan some more. pizza plan did not work. well lets be honest. it might have worked if i would have even used it. bad habit. eating pizza is not the bad habit. but saying i am not going to follow my plan now is a bad habit. i need to follow my plan always. i will get there. it took me 52 years to learn that bad habit, i can't expect to break it quickly. i did stop and think about it a few times, i tried to channel my inner @Shirin_K . that is a new behavior. it just wasn't enough to make me follow the rest of the plan tho. today i will be successful on my 24 hour plan. stick to the plan cyndie.
@phoebe112476 you have done well on your vacation. and what a great victory. you walked so far and had the energy to do it. ohh it is a blessing to not only you but your children too. i am beyond proud of you. I talk to the team in my head all the time! I am glad i am not the only crazy one sister!! lol. and you look fantastic in that pic! vacation has agreed with you!
@Mrsbell8well omgosh. look at those cute jeans. you look so cute in that pic. look at your smile. and your butt in those jeans... girl. you got it going on.
@GingerPwr you are right. we still need to celebrate. we were made to enjoy food. many of us have just lost our compass that tells us when enough is enough. i am so happy you are able to celebrate 18 years of love and joy with your son. you are one lucky momma!!

@cyndiesstuff - You had lots of good wins. Keep doing those things. I am impressed with the pizza plan you made; just the fact that you made the plan is a win. Next time you will be able to stick to it. Thanks for your continued inspiring posts and the kind comments.
@Mrsbell8well - You look awesome in those jeans. You are such an inspiration. I hope you have a great get away and feel better from your gut issues.
@GingerPwr - My oldest turned 18 this past fall. What a cause for celebration. Hope it was a great one!
@nstephenson01 - I also get very irritated by the winter and its weather! This February will only be a failure if you give up. The journey is full of ups /downs and lessons along the way. You will win this in the end. Hang in there! Spring is coming.
We start the long drive back to the cold mid-west this morning. Sitting on the balcony enjoying some warmer weather while my girls get ready for the day. As I woke this morning I went into my normal routine of checking the meal plan to choose our meals/ make a grocery list and add myself to a few yoga classes next week. As I was doing it I realized what a success it is that I fall into this routine after a week away. So thankful.
I am in a DietBet (a “game” where you pay money betting that you will lose weight and then get paid at the end if you are successful). I find it extra motivation. Especially before I found my grove and this team. In any case - I have to weigh in for the game during a specific 48 hours every month. It fell over this vacation. I found a scale in the fitness center and walked 1500 steps in my PJs thru this resort (I always weigh in these same PJs) with my weigh in word written on a napkin. I weighed in at the same weight I was when we left home s week ago - 184. Different scale surely matters, but today I am counting as a win towards my goal of maintenance.
I am on a dating website and decided to add a few photos from the vacation. For the first time since I started this journey in August I looked at my photos and saw noticeable weight loss now compared to prior! I deleted some of the older photos and added my new ones. Then I changed my body type description from “a few extra pounds” to “average build.” Yay!
I had a harder day yesterday and I realized how much I lean on Diet Coke and sugar free mint gum when I have a craving I don’t want to satisfy with actual food. The resort had neither. I was unhappy for several hours. We went to dinner at a great place that had Diet Coke on the menu. I have decided to travel with mint gum and a few cans of Diet Coke next time. Glad I realized so clearly how much these help me in my time of cravings.
I have let the girls sleep in after days of getting up at 6:30am for our vacation plans. Time to get them moving toward breakfast. Have a great day!

@cyndiesstuff I'm sorry you went off your pizza plan but I understand. Pizza is a big weakness for me too!
@lenka1 Soak life up. You will get back where you need to be.
@Mrsbell8well You are such an inspiration to me! I hope I'll be rocking a bikini come June as well. I thought about you Friday, because I have gone down a size and celebrated by buying myself a pair of bright, sunshine yellow pants. They reminded me of you & your cute pink ones!
Well, there wasn't any damage done yesterday according to this morning's weigh-in. Honestly, I worked up a sweat cleaning house yesterday, so I think the burn offset the alcohol and dessert. Plus, I noticed that my "indulging" has gotten better - I had a reasonable dinner and 3 drinks total the whole night... okay 3.5 if you count that I finished off my BIL's Crown Apple when they left for the cigar bar.
Tonight we're having friends over and I'm making fried chicken. Just pre-loaded the meal and it's about half my calorie budget for the day. Yikes. But I've got more housework and some time at the gym planned too, so I think I can give myself a buffer.
Also doing the meal planning for the week. Stay strong, happy, and beautiful, y'all!5 -

I hope to check in later today or tonight. We have a walk at 12, only a mile but it will be closer to 3 miles with the walk to the walk and then the walk back. I have to still walk Daisy so I need to get moving.
I am actually doing well, not perfect but I am very happy with how I am doing. I also am feeling better about the summer too. This is all doable with a plan...6 -

Our meals for the week are planned. I did my shopping at Target this morning and my husband is heading to a grocery store to get a few last things. I’m planning to do my workout after lunch, get some cleaning done and then have some time to relax with the family! I'm happy that it's a long weekend too!
@cynddiesstuff Oh shoot! The pizza got you, but you just get yourself right back on track! You’ll be okay – you had a successful week and know what you need to do.
@phoebe112476 I love hearing about your Florida trip and seeing your pictures! Sounds like such a fun time and you’ve done so great! Very inspiring!

So I crosssd the tidying finish line! It took 6 weeks (not full time), about 25 bags for donation, 6 bags of recycling & 3 bags of trash. The house looks amazing & I feel great in it! The biggest surprise was how much my sons & husband embraced the process! It is Family Day long weekend here in Canada & here is the skinny peanut butter pie I made to celebrate.
@Mrsbell8well - you look great!
@phoebe112476 - you also look great & looks like you had a fun vacation!
@GingerPwr - happy milestone bday to your son & this is absolutely a time when you should celebrate!
@cyndiesstuff - oh pizza, it is a weakness of mine too!

Sorry I’ve been MIA. I got a promotion at work and it’s been a blessing and a curse. Financially it’s wonderful, but I’m working longer hours and having a hard time finding the energy to get workouts in.
This week I’m going to try setting my workout clothes out before I leave the house and exercise as soon as I get home. I wish I could workout first thing in the morning but I am just not a morning person and it takes me a while to get up and going.

I am so excited that I had a great weekend and I was able to stay on track. I did drink a little more than I had planned but not much over. Eating was good, exercise was good, steps were great, water was good! I am so happy! I really didn't want to come down this weekend as I was afraid I would blow my progress and I had a lot to do at home. I am so glad I did come, I had a chance to have fun and I did really well. Got to hit the hay, leaving the shore tomorrow, taking Daisy straight to the groomer for a bath, walking Charlie and then will be home. Tomorrow is a catch up day for stuff I haven't done and to get ready for the week.
@nstephenson01 Small steps add up. Those are all important daily goals to keep you on track!
@carlsoda Nice loss!
@lennoncpa That is so true, it is so hard to lose but so easy to put back on. Hang in there!
@lenka1 You are so right. I try to remind myself that all the time. For such a small amount of time of enjoyment isn't worth it. You still did well at the weigh in so that is good.
@DananaNanas Nice loss! That stinks about your streak.
@FieryVixsin Nice! Hope all is well with you
@zumba_luvah How is everything going?
@kirsten11872 Hope things are getting better. How are things going? Are you getting back on track?
@phoebe112476 Love all the pics! You look great! Sounds like you had a fun vacation and were able to do well! Safe travels going home. And yes, I do that a lot too! Lol!
@Mrsbell8well I love your pic! Love the outfit and you look great! Glad you are enjoying your get a way weekend!
@GingerPwr Happy Birthday to your son on his milestone BD. Glad you were able to enjoy the celebration too!
@Shirin_K Sounds like you had a good weekend and a great plan for the week!
@Cafelelia Wow! You finished! How awesome! I had to put it on the back burner but I am going to go back to it. Your pie looks amazing!
@CassieGetsFit2013 Don't sweat over that weight. You lost a lot last week. Hang in there. You can do this!
@bmaison2014 Congratulations on the new job. I like the idea of leaving your workout clothes out. Hopefully once you are settled at work you can get yourself back on track.
@twyla77 It sounds like you are getting back on track. Glad you are feeling better too.
@cyndiesstuff That stinks about the pizza but I agree, there is a learning curve to this. You will do better next time. You have been doing great so I hope this doesn't take away from that for you. Thank you again for picking up the slack! You are the best!
