@cyndiesstuff Good luck with your Mom tomorrow. Praying for you on Thursday Hugs
@Mrsbell8well I would love to meet everyone in person too. It is a shame we are scattered all over the globe.2 -
I was so excited all day on Friday to have a whole weekend off after at least 4 in a row during which I was working or we were traveling. So excited. Turns out I forgot I had to work this weekend. Ugh. Big giant disappointment. And a good win - in my giant disappointment I did not have the urge to eat my feelings. Yay! Luckily, it was relatively slow and I did get caught up on some things around the house.
Even with the last minute change my diet stayed right on point due to my routines. Glad for that ease. And I did manage to sneak in an extra Yoga class today.
I over ate for the first time in awhile at dinner tonight. Not stuffed and terribly uncomfortable - but definitely ate too much. In analyzing here is what I discovered: my normal dinner routine limits my calories by planning 400-500 and weighing the portions. Then I eat all that is on my plate. Has worked well and I don’t really think about it after it is on my plate (all the thinking comes before that point). I just eat my portion. Tonight the recipe portion of MFP was down and I had made homemade bread (for the first time in my life). I estimated and when I finished (so very yummy) - I felt too full. Later when the recipe was back up and I added things in I realized I ate 700 calories for my dinner. I had plenty of calories to cover and just cut my night snack back to accommodate. I felt fuller longer so that was an interesting lesson. All this to say that in time I need to focus more on fullness and less on weighing /finishing my portions. Important lesson that was actually appreciated. But I am not ready yet. I will be and noting these things slowly paves the way for that day.
My weight had been very “stable” (replacing the word stuck -lol) for about 10 days, but came down the last two. This was another very good lesson. Had been sitting in some anxiety to see the scales lately. But I knew I was on plan completely and the scales would follow. Hoping I know it even better next time so I don’t have to sit in the anxiety.
@amsandos - Love your term “bumper loss” and your thinking about this process of “stable” weights I also love your three goals and feel the inspiration I need leading up to me making similar goals in the coming weeks. Thanks for sharing!
@CassieGetsFit2013 - Nice loss. Hope you are doing well.
@sleepymom5 - Glad to hear the shower went well and your daughter is feeling better. What a win about the cake!! I know that would be so huge for me. Such a healthy (but hard) thing to do. Yay you! Thinking like a thin person.
Time change throwing off my sleep schedule. Always takes me a few weeks to adjust. Need to get sleep now. Attaching photo of my so very yummy 700 cal dinner tonight. Will eat less in one sitting next time.

CassieGetsFit2013 Great loss!
@sleepymom5 You're my hero for throwing away cake! I'm going to a baby shower today at a cookie place. Not really a sweets person anymore, so I'm hoping to easily side step the temptations.
So, I discovered this weekend that self control is a thing I still need to work on. Went over Friday AND Sunday and didn't drink nearly enough water. BUT, Hubster enjoyed his birthday weekend and we had lots of fun. Improvement-wise, I still got in exercise this weekend even though TOM had arrived. In the past I'd just ball up on the couch and eat and complain. This weekend I did an HIIT workout on Saturday and hit golf balls; Sunday I did yoga and a short walk. So despite my shortcomings I still want to focus on ways I'm getting better.
I'm at the halfway point of the 100 ab challenge and am seeing some positive changes there.
Happy Monday everyone!!!

So that is me in the 130s. This is deeply exciting for me. In Britain we count in stones and lbs which would make me 9st 13lbs which means I now have a single figure figure. It is not time to rest on my Laurels though. This weekend is my birthday weekend I plan to fully enjoy my weekend and also get a loss. Instead of eating birthday treats over and beyond what I would usually eat I am going to include my birthday treats in my daily budgets. This marks an important shift in my thinking.
Well done to the big losers @kirsten11872 @hkfleming and @carlsoda9 -
I really enjoyed all the weekend posts. I had planned to do a quick update but got sidetracked reading up on everyone.
I did some cooking and food prepping yesterday. High temp of 67 yesterday. At 53 degrees took Lula Mae with me on my run. We end by running up a big hill. She hates that hill. Had to drag her as I continued my attempts at running it w a 55 pound dog dragging her paws.
I told Molly I would skip work and go with her today back to Richmond.
We woke up to find a text her mom passed last night at 11pm. Thanks for all the prayers everyone.
Molly and I will leave shortly to be with her mom and family members.5 -
Check in for: Sunday
Logged food: no but I think I was on track
Water: 64 oz
Exercise and Steps: 45 min Leslie Sansone video and 11,243 steps
Weekend wasn't too bad, wish I was a little more productive but kept up with exercising and ate pretty well. I do have a plan for the week for exercise and food so I am ready. Got to go or I won't be able to do my walking video!
@phoebe112476 Ugh! That stinks about work. I am glad it all worked out and the routines you have set in motion didn't get disrupted. I am working on getting routines in place too. It does make things easier. Your dinner looks amazing! I am also working on the eating until satisfied. I am having a hard time. I am just going to plug away until I get it down.
@amsandos Nice loss! You are doing great! Besides the loss in the stones, you are almost a 50lbs here! That is amazing! You are going to do great your birthday weekend. You have a great plan! You can eat on plan AND enjoy!
@Mrsbell8well I am so sorry to hear that Molly's mom passed. I will keep you all in my prayers. I hope Molly doesn't feel badly she wasn't there when her Mother passed. I was a Hospice nurse for two years. Some people seemed to hang on for people traveling to see them and would pass as soon as the person got there and some people seemed to wait for their loved ones to leave. She spent a lot of time with her mom when she was sick and when she was dying. She is an awesome daughter. Hugs to all of you!3 -

Happy Monday everyone! A new week to make good choices and get closer to our goals.
Sunday Check in:
Food: Good
Water: didn't drink enough
Steps: 8,000 but I did do 20 minutes of yoga
Another weekend gone and missing my hour with the day light savings time. It didn't bother me yesterday but it was hard to wake up this morning.
Snow should disappear this week...or at least some of it. Wednesday and Thursday will be in the 40's with heavy rain. There's talk about flooding since the ground is frozen solid. We'll just need to wait and see what happens!
@Mrsbell8well - so sorry to hear about Molly's mom. Prayers going your way. She's lucky to have such a supportive spouse!
@sleepymom5 - so proud of you for throwing away the cake. See if it was me, I wouldn't be able to stop. I just need to stay away which is hard!
@GingerPwr - gosh I so wish I was not a sweets person. Maybe one day?? Hoping!!
Have a great Monday!!3 -
We’re here in Richmond. It’s almost 1 o’clock. I ate a pear and applesauce so far. I packed lots of food. I’m concerned about over eating. Thought I would do a quick post to help hold myself accountable. Wednesday weigh in is quickly approaching.
I know I can be here for Molly and family and still stay on plan.
I can and I will. Ok now I will go eat lunch and make wise choices.4 -
Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend and adjusted to the time change. We overslept this morning, woke up an hour late. Mu hubby jumped out of bed, took a shower and headed out to work. I had to get my son up for school, which is never an easy task, and then I got myself ready for work. Got in a few minutes late, but not too bad.
I was very happy with my weigh-in on Saturday! I worked out Friday night, cut it a little short, went out to dinner with my in laws. I ate later then I wanted with IF, but it was fine. I stayed away from the bread, had 1 glass of wine and grilled scallops and some grilled asparagus, it was very good. Woke up Saturday morning, later than I planned, but got my workout done.
I was good all weekend. I worked out yesterday, hit the elliptical for an hour, came home and did laundry. My mom made lasagna for dinner last night, it was so good! She makes it with ground turkey, I do not eat pork or red meat. The scale was up a little this morning, I was a little surprised because my weekend went so well, but I am on track and should see another loss on Saturday. I am in the zone!
@Mrsbell8well so sorry about Molly's mom! My prayers are with you all! xo
@cyndiesstuff I hope you are feeling better!
@sleepymom5 glad your daughter is doing well! Hopefully she is good going forward!
Step counts:
3/8:16,569
3/9:14,596
3/10:15,929
Food is prepped for the day! I am thankful I got everything ready last night, or I would have been trying to get everything together this morning in a mad rush, no bueno!
Have a wonderful day & week! Thanks for all the congrats on my weight loss!

Well we just finished making funeral arrangements when I got a call from my cousins. They had to rush my mom to the Er. She’s having problems breathing. We are 2 1/2 hours away and heading back home to the hospital. Geez5
