You little one is sooooo cute I can only clean once a week as I am mostly at the shop with DH. So, every weekend will be cleaning day for me. I think I am a slacker as I am not even thinking of Christmas yet1
-
I did not get any cleaning done! lol
Big filter on my fish tank started rattling and it's a gross task cleaning it out to try to get the noise to stop, so that's what I ended up doing.
After that was done, I didn't feel like doing much of anything.
I did get down more of the Christmas decorations yesterday though and put more things outside.
I see it as.... just b/c I'm putting up Christmas stuff doesn't mean I'm forgetting Thanksgiving. I love thanksgiving too (and I can't wait to fix a turkey and all that other good food!)... it's just that Christmas has the better decor and I want to enjoy it for as long as possible
Plus there's only like what... 2 and a half weeks until thanksgiving. Good grief! Every year it always surprises me how FAST these last few months go by!
Plus we bought a lot of Disney Christmas stuff last year (YAY discounted after Christmas stuff!) that I've been impatiently waiting to put up! lol
This weekend has been a mixture of relaxing and doing misc stuff so far.
I really do need to clean this living room up though. Every day that passes and I stare at this mess, the more it drives me crazy. Plus I want to put up some Christmas stuff in here too for the kids to enjoy... and destroy :P lol
Plus whenever we get a tree, we're putting it in the corner that I currently have my craft table setup, so I need to clean that area up. Not right this second since we're planning on getting a real tree, but better to have it cleaned up soon
Oh and food has been good, I just haven't been tracking anything since Friday. And I did finally get myself some pork rinds yesterday! They're good, but also kinda disappointing for some reason. /shrugs

I am getting my xmas stuff this week as well I just can't wait......It is going to be rainy/snowy here later today so by the end of the week a bit warmer.....and I just can't wait...…
Glad you are doing well on the food front1 -
LMAO I agree that Christmas decor covers both adequately and offers better selection and "coverage" to both seasons LMAO
For some reason, my Mama was always REALLY great about decorations (still is actually...she has giant ledges in her house that she changes out like 4 times a year, despite not being able to actually DO IT herself - IE she makes one of us kids do it LMAO). For some reason, I've NEVER put up decor at my house...I mean NEVER. Now granted, we don't have kids full time and the chances of the step kids making it all the way to our house is slim to none LMAO SOOOOO I never really did see a reason...decor and celebrating belongs at Mama's house in ma head for some reason LMAO
I asked my sister for a house deep clean for Christmas (one of those services that will come in for like $50 and fly through your house like a tornado LOL) - I meant a service but she straight up volunteered to just do it herself! 6 of one to me! Best Christmas present EVER! LMAO
***That's actually pretty sad seeing as I work from home and have PLENTY of time, I JUST HATE CLEANING WITH A PASSION UNMATCHED EVEN BY THE FIRES OF HELL1 -
Hope your fishes are OK It seems that you guys are getting snow now? Wow!!! It's lovely to have a white Christmas For us here, its Sunny Hot Christmas... lol !0
-
Oh we rarely get snow here. If it does snow, it usually happens in January/February and only a small dusting. Sometimes we'll get an inch or so, but most of the time, just a little whisp that stays on the ground for all of 2hrs lol.
That's all we got this last winter. I think that's when it snowed in Florida or something? It was either last winter or the winter before. It snowed everywhere around us, literally, except for here Booooooo
Our winters are so erratic sometimes though. I remember a Christmas it was in the 70's which is NOT normal for us lol.
misty- That's too funny but also brilliant! I also hate cleaning, but when I get in the mode/mood to do it, I do it. I WAS in the mood to do it and now that has fizzled out b/c of just other crap making me lose focus. I'll get it done. Just not as soon as I had hoped.
And hey, I totally get not putting decorations up. While I do love putting them all up, I HAAAAATE taking them all down and putting everything away. Just cleaning but with christmas stuff
vol- OOO yall are getting snow! So jealous! We just got lots of rain today. DOn't mind rain but I had to go out in it which wasn't fun.
Anywho... I'm still here. Just haven't been posting much b/c stuff and distractions and life lol
I'm doing good though. Think I overate a bit today but overall I'm good
Period should be starting soon though which is why I think my appetite is increased.
Made keto hot chocolate the other day and OMG I'm never bothering with those nasty little powder packs again. It's so easy to make and SO much better to make it yourself! Sweetener, cocoa powder, heavy cream, almond milk, and I've also been using half and half too. It's SUPER rich and delicious! Can always thin it out by using more almond milk.
Whisk it all in a pot and heat it, but don't bring it to a boil and TADA! Done!
Oh and my faith in people got a boost today. Needed gas so went to Sam's to fill up. Decided to run in to Sam's to grab a rotisserie chicken b/c I was craving one lol.
Boys wanted some baguette so got that too. My older boy was carrying it and all was good.
Walked out with our stuff and suddenly hear him say "It fell!" and he started wailing. I turn around and sure enough, both baguettes had flopped out of their little bag and on to the pavement. It had already started to rain and I wasn't about to run back in to grab more. It sucked, but oh well. I know that's awful of me, but they would've gotten over it quickly. NOt the first time they've dropped food on the ground lol.
That's when this angel appeared. This woman that checked out in front of us and had been walking to her own car that was parked across from us.
She came over and asked if I wanted her to go back in and buy more bread. I told her "No no you don't have to. They'll be ok." But before I could even finish, she was already fast walking back in. I yelled at her something along the lines of "No! You really don't have to!" But off she went.
And like 5min later, she was back out, new baggy of baguette in hand and a huge smile on her face. She handed it to me as I thanked her and said "I've been there. It's no problem. Yall have a great rest of the day." and she quickly left.
I wish I could've given her a hug or something but she didn't stick around lol.
Whoever she is... I wish nothing but the best for her. It made me cry on the way home (making me tear up now too). Just so incredibly sweet of a stranger to do that and just really helped bring a little brightness to this gloomy day.

That's awesome...what a kind-hearted lady Its seldom we meet angels like her1
-
OMG that is the sweetest story ever!!!!! It does restore your faith in mankind.....I love the idea of random acts of kindness so cool!!!

Alrighty yall... poop talk incoming.
I think yogurt has been helping my digestion.
I've been eating a lot of it recently. Like 2-3 containers of the low carb stuff a day and since doing so have noticed that my poops have been more normal. Seems like I skip a day (even coffee doesn't help), but then go normally the day after. So.. yay! lol
I'm going to try looking for some unflavored kinds to see if there is something lower carb that I can add flavoring to just so I won't have to worry about the 5g carbs per container adding up. If I can't, then I won't sweat it though.
It could just be a fluke, but I'll keep testing it out to see if it continues.

Ok so.... End of the year is fast approaching and I'm just coming to terms that I'm probably not going to reach ANY goal by New Years lol.
I dunno. I'm going to have to figure something out b/c the hell if I'm going to let 2020 go down the same way 2019 did. I'm going to aim big and aim to reach my ultimate goal weight. That's going to take A LOT of willpower and work though. I mean my diet, that's good, it's just I think my portion sizes AND me needing to remain strict and actually keeping cheats to bare minimum for now.
This year just did not work in terms of losing weight and the only difference is that I did end up cheating more frequently. I always jumped back in to keto, so there was never that problem, but my body seemed to maintain instead of lose. I mean that's great that what I was doing was maintaining my weight instead of gaining (well if it was only cheating for a day or 2), BUT I'm maintaining when I still have like 60lbs to lose which aint good lol.
I'm probably going to have to give up my morning coffees too. Maybe just splurge on energy drinks every week for the caffeine I'll be missing. Try to get back in to that true fasting goodness.
I was thinking about going back carnivore too, but the thought of nothing but meat just isn't appealing. Keto has worked so I'll stick with it. If I happen to eat more meat one week (like this past week), then so be it, but going full carnivore again? Nah. Just not for me. I do love my veggies.
So yeah.... after Christmas I'll come up with a better plan of action. Even if it's just... try harder to stick to 1200 calories or less per day at first, then so be it.
Exercise is also something I REALLY need to work on too. UGH even talking about exercising is making me tired. It's my kryptonite! But I need to conquer it!.... eventually!0 -
I am with you Lisa. I don't have 60 pounds to lose, but this last 20 pounds is being quite difficult. I have allowed too many compromises to derail me. I did it before, I just need to hunker down and get it done again and then be diligent in maintenance to keep it off.1
-
Lisa - I've just straight up accepted that exercise will ALWAYS be my demon LMAO I just CANT WAHHHHHHHHH
That's an AWESOME story! The baguette rescuer!!! WOOT WOOT! Don't ya just love it when the universe reminds you that people are ok sometimes
Ced has been having digestive issues as well, so I ordered him some enzymes - they're supposed to be here today, so we'll see if they work...I'm pretty sure he has IBS - his stomach is upset every one day LOL1 -
misty- Oh I hope the enzymes help him. Might as well give them a shot and cross your fingers
Lady- Yeah I can imagine the last 10, 20, hell, even 30lbs are hella annoying and frustrating. I look forward to eventually getting to that point though
Just sort of chugging along on keto autopilot right now.
I OMAD some days (well OMAD w/ my coffee) and some days I just IF and some days I just eat.
Not going to go binge eat or anything before the new year, but also feels sorta like.. meh when it comes to doing anything drastic before the holidays.
Lol.
I'm certainly not giving up, BUT right now.... I just... I don't want to do anything dramatic. I know it's going to come in January and I'm going to have to commit to being strict again, so right now.... I'm fine just being keto... sometimes OMAD, sometimes IF, sometimes not.
It sorta feels like I'm giving up though? But also like I'm not? I dunno. Having mixed feelings right now lol.
I think for now, I'm going to actively try to reduce my portion sizes more. At least for the higher cal foods, but other than that... meh.
Dang, it does sound like I'm giving up, but I'm not! I promise! lol0 -
Don't be so hard on yourself, gf You have learnt what you can do and what you will not do again and this will help you a lot in your journey towards your GW I know how you feel coz even though I can see the finish line, I also know this stubborn body of mine ain't going to let me reach my GW any time soon So, keep getting back up onto the wagon and you will see the results no matter how slow it shall be Stay strong1
-
I think you have to be mentally ready to do whatever you do. If you are at the stage now where you don't want any certain plan --then don't have a plan. maybe you should just have a plan of being "mindful".....Like ---okay yeah I am going to have a cookie, but just one, not 10.......I have had times like that before where I didn't have a set OMAD or IF or whatever I just wanted to be mindful of what I ate and make better choices......whatever you do, we are here for you and you will get there, in your own time......
DOn't be hard on yourself!!!! Be kind to you......you are fabulous0 -
Yep. I'm not getting off this wagon anytime soon. Also just not doing anything to try to get it to go faster for the last 2 months of 2019 and I am cool with that
Dinner last night was chicken wings and jalapeno poppers. Also had some hard salami slices, 2 low carb yogurts and some lily's dark chocolate chips. Not too bad I think
A decent amount of wings, but not over the top. Same for everything else too.
And yep. I can tell I'm a bit bloated, but AF is delayed again this month for whatever reason and I know it's probably b/c of that and maybe b/c of all the yogurt I've been having and the change in my digestion from it.
In other news.... Couple more decorations have been put up!
Waiting to put up lights. Someone *coughhusbandcough* cheaped out last year and didn't buy proper outdoor extention cords so whenever it rained, the lights always flipped off outside
So waiting until probably tomorrow to go buy proper outdoor cords and get all of the lights set up soon after... if it's not raining.
Here's what I have up so far though!
Have our outdoor disney decorations setup in the house. Just waiting for those cords0 -
OMG OMG so cute.....totally doing mine in a little while......just needs to warm up some.....so ready for it!!!
1 -
OMG...that's so pretty Will you be having a big Santa Claus on your roof top too? Your DS is as busy as an elf helper... so cute1
-
Lol no. Neither hubby or myself would be brave enough to put anything on the roof.
We do have more to put out though so stay tuned!
Ok so I think the yogurt thing might be working too well. Or it could also be bc my meals were very meat heavy this week.
I haven't gone in 3 days. The heck?
Last time that happened I had just had my last baby and post partem constipation is no joke lol.
Coffee hasn't even been giving me the urge to go either which is unusual.
I just had some fresh kimchi today though so maybe that will get things going.
Fresh kimchi usually doesn't bother me too much. Once it ferments though.... Well... That's just a whole new monster.
Anyway... Been a dreary few days but I am loving the colder weather!
Warming up though. Only going to be slightly cool fall weather for a little bit but I'll take that over summer sweltering any day.
Thinking about possibly getting some sort of Fitbit and walking. Uuuugh just thinking about it makes me tired but if not for me, I know my boys would enjoy it.0 -
So sorry to hear that you haven't gone for 3 day For me, I have been having diarrhea today:( If you go online, you can get something like a Fitbit but way cheaper. If you want to go on Wish, Steph can help you on that. My kids got me this smart watch for around AUD$10 and it does help me to see how many calories I burn per day.
Can't wait to see more Christmas decor
1 -
Yeah I don't want anything too expensive. My husband has a pretty nice one, but it also cost about $70? I think and that was on sale. I don't want anything too much just in case it goes to waste... :P rofl
Will have to check out what's out there.
Finally not raining out. Put out the lights around the door. Debating if I want to do the windows outside too. Not even sure we have enough lights for that lol.
While we don't live in a bad neighborhood, I'm so afraid people are going to steal our Disney decorations lol. We've never had that problem, but ya never know. Some people suck sometimes.
Will have to plug everything up asap to at least make it a little more difficult for anyone wanting to get sticky fingers.
Yall... Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK! Wasn't it just the first of the month like.. last week?? lol0 -
Hoping your tummy is felling better soon.........I got my trees up this weekend and the inside of the house done, but not the outside yet.....hopefully this weekened for that......
I know ---i think xmas is like 38 days a way LOL
1 -
Yay Christmas tree!
Ever since we got a real tree, that's all I want.
Yep.... I'm spoiled now. They're messy, but I love them! Just have to wait until after Thanksgiving to get on since there aren't any for sale yet. Already have the spot cleaned up for it.
Raining again today. BOOO, but I did get up a few more thing.
Yall are going to get bombarded with a lot more Christmas stuff as I keep getting it all up slowly! MUAHAHAHA lol
It's not even that I'm like some masterful designer that has magazine worthy decorations. I just like them all and want to share our cheesy little setups
Not sure if it's all in their final spots, but it's ok for now
The glare makes it look a lot brighter than it is lol.
I still have a lot more lights and inflatables and whatnot to put out. It's all coming together though.
And AF has finally started aaand my weight reflected the usual bloat this moring at 180.6. Good lord at least I hope it's hormonal bloating.
I'm definitely going to be looking forward to getting some better results next year. I may not actually reach my ultimate goal (very unlikely actually), but I'm gonna try damn hard!

OMG your decorations are AWESOME!!! So jeal!!! Still haven't broken down and done anything - plus we're at the end of a cul de sac WAYYYYYYYYYYY at the back of our complex so it'd probs be wasted anyway.
If you need a cheap Fitbit type thing go with Wish - but let me know BEFORE YOU DO bec if you use my referral you'll get free Wish bucks I got my new one for 5 bucks plus like 3 bucks shipping - I should be getting it this week so I'll report back on quality

Lol we're also at the very back of our neighborhood. Not in the actual cul de sac but right next to the one at the end of the road. Think it was 2 years ago, some neighbor in the neighborhood (don't think they lived on our street) was driving around in a golf cart with their kids to look at all the lights. I want to imagine we're bringing some holiday cheer for those that can't or just don't want to put up their own stuff
My dream is to have the Griswold house from Christmas Vacation! ROFL Ok so maybe not that extreme but LOTS of decorations!
I will definitely take you up on that offer if I decide to get something from Wish.

Awww booo. That sucks that you're allergic Yeah they are super messy and require a lot of vacuuming for the needles, but it's a price I'm willing to pay hehe
I want to get more indoor decorations. Really don't have much right now, just leftover things that can go up here and there. Might have to stock up on stuff after christmas for next year's decorations0 -
Food today has been pretty good.
Pork rinds, yogurt, slow cooker pork w/ 2 low carb tortilla shells, etc.
Helped that my mom came over and visited a bit and then inlaws came over to drop off my youngest and hung out a bit too so had plenty of distraction from eating.
I'd really like something warm to drink, but it's bed time for me.
Just going to curl up under my blanket and sleep.
A little bloated and tired but overall.. not a bad day
Oh and DH and I picked our persimmon tree almost clean yesterday.
We got SOOOO many. SO SO many. The tree only started fruiting last year.
The ones in the boxes still aren't ripe, but all the ones in the egg cartons were ripe or soft.
I had to have one so ate one yesterday. Pure sugar. I know people make jam out of it, but there's no need to do anything special, just cut open a ripe one and smear it on a biscuit or toast. Voila.. all done lol. It already has that jam consistency when it's ripe.
Anyway... my mom is the one that got us the tree to begin with... so she could eventually have free persimmons lol. And BOY was she happy today when she saw how many there were.
0 -
I should've mentioned that you can't store the ripening ones stacked together b/c the leaves are extremely stiff and pointy and easily pierce the fruit once it starts to soften up. And you can't remove the leaves without ripping open the fruit. Bit of a pain but we had plenty of empty egg cartons
Ya know... there's some useless info for ya! lol
0 -
I LOOOOOVE your Christmas decorations 🎄😘😍😍😍 OMG, amazing job, gf❤️😘 And the persimmons - to die for😍😍😍 If I stay around your area, I will be knocking at your door😁😁😁 It's so expensive here😣
