Tuesday check-in
Still lots going on at work 😖 - too tired and frustrated to go into details. I really wanted to skip the workout, but didn’t - one of the advantages of seeing a trainer.
Food - in point
Exercise - 3 mile run and lifting with trainerFWIW
Sunday was 80 min - run + lift
Monday was a planned rest day
Today will be 90 min - just finished a run and have a lifting session with my trainer
@Jactop
So regarding the step thing, it it makes a difference:
Sunday - 3 mile run (estimated 7500 steps) + lifting; 80 minutes exercise
Monday rest day
Tuesday - 3 mile run (estimated 7500 steps) + lifting with trainer - 90 minutes exercise

Hello - checking in for Tuesday!
Calories under - even with free pizza at work (they ordered so much and I hate wasting food, so I've grabbed some for my lunch today too)
Water - on track
Exercise - still a bit cruddy so just the 12801 steps.
Have eased myself back in gently today with a weights and crunches session for reporting back tomorrow. I've also been extolling the virtues of Fitbit to my new colleagies and sharing just how many of us are tracking steps. At the last place of employ one stopped using her Fitbit because they weren't allowed to move from their desks. That's no way to maintain a healthy and motivated workforce, how 20th Century!2 -

Hello Fat2Fit Challengers!
Just a quick announcement to let everyone know that Mari ( @mari_moulin ) has stepped down and away from the group again for a bit of quality life time with her family and such... Knowing Mari - I am sure she is in and out of the group all the time and I am positive she will be around to help us anytime we need it...
In the meantime, I have asked @jugar if she would be interested in becoming a moderator and helping us to run the group. Liselyn had mentioned to Becky that she was interested in doing more with the group and I know she has been doing great as a team captain... Liselyn has accepted and is now the groups newest Group Moderator. Please take a minute to say hi and congratulate her on her well deserved promotion... Please remember, these are not paid positions, everything she does - she is doing for all of us! Thank you Liselyn - for stepping up and working to help everyone in the Fat2Fit Weight Loss Challenge!

I thought folks here might appreciate this article (I think the first couple of paragraphs on the Miranda Rule are too long, but it's a good, clear example): How to Declutter Your Mind and Unleash Your Willpower by Using Bright-Line Rules
"Establishing bright lines in your life can provide a huge boost in daily willpower."
That's certainly been my experience.
Okay, off to get ready for martial arts class, and the chance to earn bases for the team!

Appalachian Trail Mission Slimpossibles Thru Hike Step Challenge
The Final Approach—Closing in on Katahdin
Distance Covered so Far: 2080 miles
Vermont's mountains aren't called the Green Mountains for nothing! This section of the A.T. is characterized by dense and verdant forests. We were only in Vermont for 45 miles, but it sure was beautiful!
Stratton Pond is one of the highlights of this section of the trail.
Our next state, New Hampshire, features more miles above treeline than any other Appalachian Trail state. This provides exposed ridges with amazing views when the sun is shining, as well as the worst weather in the world when storms hit. The trail runs across the summit of Mt. Washington, home of the highest winds ever recorded on planet Earth. Hikers much choose wisely before attempting to cross Mt. Washington. Weather can turn deadly very quickly, and every year hikers have to be rescued from the flanks of Mt. Washington even in the middle of summer due to severe weather.
If we are lucky, we will have seen a moose somewhere in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire is also home to one of the most scenic parts of the trail, Franconia Ridge, where you literally walk a fine line between steep drop offs on either side. But the views, my, they are amazing!
The last leg of our journey will be through the 100-mile Wilderness area of Maine. Read the sign. Are we ready???
When we finish this next 100 miles through the most remote part of the trail, we will be ready to summit Katahdin. Let’s do this!!!

The above AT post is the NEXT to last. In the next day or two, we will finish! Keep posting those steps, Slimpossibles!3
